  1. Applications need to be made in triplicate to the Forum Wheels Committee
  2. It might be, but according to the previous owner who had the car from new that's what the car shipped with. All he's done is change the rubber. The wheels appear to sit mid way between both listed opinions for the Greenline, so I can't see how this would be an issue?
  3. Fitted to our 2012 Greenline = 1.6tdi 6.5Jx16 ET50
  4. Ok, then I think some of my Greenline's low speed horses are sooted up - the car came from London where it did short, low speed journeys only.
  5. We've had the Greenline a week, and it's being compared to the Yeti S 110hp that we have owned for a year. On Worcestershire's finest tarmacadam there are no nasty suspension noises, the Greenline wafts along silently, however doing down the lanes or crossing the border into Brum the ride becomes unacceptable. The 205/55/16's the Greenline came with were all weather Contis, inflated correctly. The summer wheels dug out of my shed and fitted to the Greenline today are 215/60/16 Landsail LS388's that were on the 2.0tdi car when I bought it, and all family agree they have transformed the Greenline. This is our opinions based upon our family cars driven back to back, and how WE like our cars to ride. Others may disagree, fair enough
  6. We now have 2 x Yeti in the family; a 2.0tdi and a 1.6tdi Greenline, you would think there's little difference between the two - but my 9 year old immediately noticed the Greenline being lower despite never discussing it with her or my wife. Wife has been driving the 2.0tdi for some weeks, and after a whizz in the Greenline moaned about the lack of grunt off tickover, that she felt 'small' on the road ... and the ride quality which is crashy to say the least. We have now had the Greenline a week and cannot stand being in the car as the suspension is noisy and crashy over our wonderful road surfaces - 'do something, or sell it' the family have said. Soooo, this morning while the family were out on a run I fitted the summer wheels off the 2.0tdi which are 215/60/16 and went for a test drive - what a difference, the car is now a pleasure to drive! The alloys are the same so wife wasn't aware of the swap, she has just come back from a quick shopping trip in the Greenline with daughter in tow and announced she was wrong about the Greenline and that it's a lovely comfortable drive to which my pea under the mattress daughter was in total agreement. Which is nice
  7. If it's a 1.6tdi Greenline I would be interested in the results of the remap on low speed grunt which we notice compared to our 110hp 2.0tdi.
  8. Thank you, part number 3 it is. I wasn't getting anywhere looking at a black seal on a black car in the dark, in heavy rain last night!
  9. Bit of help please, the my near side wheel arch liner of the 2012 Greenline I bought today is sitting about 1cm from the bodywork, almost like there is a something missing - should there be a seal or does it need to be refitted?
  10. When I had this issue on a 1.9tdi Touran it was a combination of clogged up lift pump filter in the fuel tank, and a leaking tandem fuel pump. Oh, and I had a faulty glow plug relay.
  11. Both me and my wife have quite rural commutes, so I think the Smart will (sadly) by dropped for another Yeti or even ... a Duster 4x4
  12. Thanks for the info, this is a mod I'm looking to do on my S spec 2010 Yeti. You don't say what spec level your 4X4 is, did you have speaker looms in the back doors from the factory or did you have to route the wiring from the headunit? For the record, I had no issues with your first post - if certain individuals who consider the forum their personal domain are quick to take offence, just use the ignore button
  13. After 5 almost faultless years with costs limited to new battery, a better stereo, spare alloys with winter tyres, rubber mats and service items we sold our cherished Roomie Scout this morning. I don't normally care who buys a car but this was different , I'm pleased to say that it was bought by a young lad who will fill it with mountain bikes and use it for what it was designed - having fun!
  14. By lens, I mean the headlamp glass (perspex) rather than the silvered reflecting lens. The kit was a tenner from ECP and I thought I'd give it a whirl, results were very good and I would recommend anyone to try it before trying a more heavy duty treatment.
  15. The headlamp lens, I used Armor All wipes. Made a huge difference
  16. Why would I need up upgrade the wiring when fitting Nightbteakers?
  17. Why not fit rear seats to the Caddy? Plenty of guides on the forums.
  18. b1ackb1rd replied to Gravitas's topic in Skoda Yeti
Pretty much anything VAG that is 112x5 will fit, I have Altea alloys on my 2010 Yeti
  19. Taking the top of the steering column cover off may reveal the screws? Have you searched the Fabia forum? It's practically the same interior.
  20. What spec is your Yeti? I have poverty S spec with no rear speakers fitted.
  21. I have to repaint the front wheel arch trim on both sides of my 2007 Scout, can anyone advise how it's removed?
  22. Had this with our 2007 last year, bought a used one from a later Roomie and swapped it over - a very easy DIY job What amazed me was that my 13 year old car was totally free of corrosion inside the tailgate, not like the Yeti or the last 2 Tourans that had raging tin worm in both tailgates.
  23. My 2007 Roomie Scout has a full maxidot screen as standard, part number as follows if it helps 5J0 920 940 C
  24. Find someone locally who can do a VCDS scan, without targeted information you could waste a lot of money
  25. Our Roomie Scout is MUCH improved after the headlamps were polished and fitted with Nightbreakers
