  1. I don't know exactly of course, but the dealer should have informed you that some personalised settings would be reset if the infotainment system is update. Radio stations, and all the settings like personalisation could be lost. What if anything is written on the receipt you hopefully got for the work done?
  2. I suspect that 99% of your trouble is down to the infortainment system, it is now the beating heart of the car and VAG has decided to funnel all the user messages through. There are many threads here on the SOS fault, and the main software of the units being generally being trash from factory. Everything has to work in harmony, so if you update one control module or the main infotainment system, then everything has to be raised up to the same sort of level, otherwise messages are read by it, and it doesn't understand how to display it (so crashes or throws up fake messages) It might be an idea for you to go to your car and try to read in the software version loaded on your infotainment system and post back here. You will be holding down Menu/Setup button a few seconds to get up the version infomation. Then I can check what is out there available and then you are armed with the information to be able to say to the dealers there is a TPIxxxxxxx number for this exact problem I am having. Pop Pop SOS Fault Infortainment and SOS faults SW1896 - Probably one of the better update, and going forward OTA updating
  3. Yes 0480 is available, I shall PM you a link across
  4. 12 - Exhaust gas temperature transmitter 3 - G495- ❑ the thread of the temperature sender is coated ❑ do not apply additional oil or grease to the thread ❑ use spanner set 17 mm - T10395- for removing and installing ❑ 60 Nm And what should be the part number you asked about (you should really double check this, but should be correct)
  5. Only as a bush fix or for diagnostic purposes. It might be weak and break down quickly now, so best is a replacement if you can.
  6. With a working DPF for diesel's and GPF on petrol you shouldn't see black smoke. If it's broken/collapsed in some way, the soot of course can escape. Not saying that's what is wrong, but could be. You may need to look at fault codes/live data to check out things.
  7. Try a repair, and then look with VCDS at live data when the car is running to see if the values in the fault code are now looking sensible. This might give you more time to locate a part and replace.
  8. There are many updates available for MEN3_EU_SK370, but I am not sure that this is one you want to apply yourself. Closest to yours SW is 0469 MEN3_EU_SK370_P0113P The lastest MEN3_EU_SK370_Pxxxx is SW1790 only just released. But as mentioned, you do not want to load these at home, please visit a dealer as you will most likely need it plugged in to diagnostic platform to check everything succeeds.
  9. I cannot see an update for yours in my collection MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0369T is available, but you have MST2_EU_SK_PQ_P0359T so the update won't load
  10. People usually only head to forums to complain about issues, so that skews the numbers. Nobody posts that their car is running well. There are some websites (I think maybe HonestJohn?) that can potentially show the strengths and weakness of a particular car/model/year engine/gearbox combo.
  11. Odds are you can update to 0480 I will PM you a link and you can try.
  12. Don't want to put you totally off a remap, just make sure that they will rollback or adjust if your car starts making more soot. A good map, on a car where everything works perfectly shouldn't make too much soot, a poor map will have your DPF doing many more regens. Playing devil's advocate. I do love a good remap, but the car I have now won't be touched.
  13. You could pay to do a clean, and reduce the soot to zero (well a few grams) and within a short distance the soot will be increasing again. The DPF is just a soot trap, and if things are working as intended, the regens will take car of themselves. You have the tools and own gut to know if something is 'off' with the car. Drive and enjoy it I say.
  14. They look fine to me, if the car is not drinking excess oil, then you should be ok. It's reported as having used 58% of it's estimated lifespan. Does that tool measure Soot mass measured? Ideally you want both values.
  15. Odds are you can update to 0253 But you should verify Software Train. Press and hold down menu/setup button for about 10 seconds to enter menu and read this value. It is also location for the firmware update button.
  16. MSTD_EU_SK_P6230 0490 is available if he doesn't respond to you.
  17. Yeah they cannot test a battery right after charging it, that's never going to be an accurate assessment of the state of charge. Has to be left a minimum of 2-3hrs, ideally overnight IMHO. I dare say yours is dead by the sounds of it, and now it's dead/dying you will use more fuel for the car running the alternator full time. Might be an idea to abandon dealer and fit your own new battery.
  18. I will send you a PM very soon for 0369
  19. Tightening procedure for the new oiled screw: 150 Nm + turn a further 1/2 turn (180°). Someone should hopefully verify that is correct, that's how I read it in manuals.
  20. I did my own with engine running for stable power. 20-60 mins on car battery could be too long and not a good idea as too many control units gobble power. I always say to have battery support, or start the engine, but don't start the engine during update process as that's asking to break it.

I have seen before the software sold with 8GB stick, it seemed kinda pointless as it would be out of date (unless seller put latest on before posting) It's a nice touch to be able to secure away your logs onto. USB-ThumbDrive-8gb-500x500

I think the USB stick will be the VCDS software @john999boy could be wrong, but that seems logical enough.

That's a good price, just for clarity of your advert, is that a new HexV2? I don't need one as I have, but helpful to specify, and a bargain price.
