Problems With Android Auto
You could try to reboot the radio unit, by having it switched on and holding down the power button for about 10 seconds and it should force a reboot. If that does not work, then maybe the radio might respond to a firmware update, that you press and hold down the Menu/Setup key for same time and enter the engineering menu and post picture of the Software Train. Usually USB ports tend to be intermittant, then one day fail, has it been playing up!?

Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
@Rogoscok I am back, so will send you the firmware via PM Meanwhile to hopefully answer your question a little, you need to enable developer menu in radio with something like VCDS. You then need to install MIB Toolkit, remembering to change the 'CPU' folder so that you don't break it. Then you can operate the MIB Toolkit from the developer menu to adjust things. That's about as much help as I can send you, as this is not the forum for these things.

Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
That is the correct file, you need to take a picture of the SD Card when made. All the files should be in the 'root' of the drive if that makes sense?
-
Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
This is the screen you should be in for updating, the other menu you're referring to is the history of updates applied. Might be an idea if possible to send a screenshot of your SD Card contents, in the 'root' you should have a single text file, and then about 30 or so folders.

I would ask for all of that to be put into writing, if you are going to go ahead with this route.

Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
Sorry was taking a weekend off for family time. Remind me what media you are using for the update? SD Card or USB? In theory you could use FAT32/exFAT/NTFS format for the firmware update, though I usually recommend the first two. Have you got a picture of the files on your update media? If you have a folder called MST2_EU_SK_P0480T then that won't work, only the contents of this folder should be copied to media.

DPFs for Dummies
2. When you have the car in neutral, the revs will be higher than normal idle, somewhere around 1,000rpm (or you can hear/feel the fans spinning.) Ideally you would want to complete the regen cycle, but not everyone wants to drive to nearest long dual carriageway (or could be during rush hour coming home from work) If you get home, then you should make a mental note to give the car a little blast next time you go out ideally (once warmed) If not a weekend drive to clear it out. 3. If the car is using a lot of oil, this will shorten the life, if your oil is overfilling then your DPF regens are probably failing and diesel is overfilling your oil, ideally you want a car where the dipstick stays in the goldilocks zone. You will need a diagnostic readout to measure (the estimated) life of the DPF, I am happy to help if you want to travel for a plug in read (and I can do a static regen if needed)

TDI 2.0 SCR 190 - smell of exhaust fumes ?
Thanks @SuperbTWM I was running on a total lack of sleep this weekend gone. I did sleep in today to catch up 😆 My brain was thinking of the AdBlue tank location, but here is the injector sitting just between the two 'cans' of the overall DPF system.
-
TDI 2.0 SCR 190 - smell of exhaust fumes ?
DPF should regen as normal, the AdBlue is for gas emission reduction, so a separate system further down the exhaust system.

DPF Oil Ash and Soot Level Advice
Yes this value seems normal, plenty of life left for that.

TDI 2.0 SCR 190 - smell of exhaust fumes ?
Could be the smell of the SCR injecting AdBlue? Sorry I don't know what it would look or smell like in 'action'

30 MPG on 2.0 TDI. What could be wrong? (Long)
Sorry to hear the static regen didn't go as expected, I had an issue with my 1.6TDi green line where it was stuck trying to regen all the time. The regen ran, but the soot measured hit at wall at 15g, and couldn't drop lower. The suspicion was that it had been used for too many short journeys, and the soot was kinda 'baked' on a little. I have a friend who put in some DPF cleaning solution that after treatment allowed the soot measured to actually drop down to 1-2g, not saying this is what you need right now, as you need to push back on the vehicle supplier and see what they say (I hope you took screenshots or pictures on phone of the regen values earlier) Keep us in the loop, and let's see what happens next together.

DPF Oil Ash and Soot Level Advice
That just needs either a long ride with the revs up high, but if that doesn't drop the soot, then you need to perform a static regen process to clean down the soot. At this early stage in it's life, it should need any cleaning products, but later on it might, like much later down the line.

Snow chains Octavia VRS
That's correct, that can tell some details on your vehicle to help choose options. Sadly I don't know enough about wheels to help you further, maybe someone will answer if possible.
-
Snow chains Octavia VRS
@Carlston You seem to live and breathe wheels, what's your take on this? @will1500 Given that you have a VRS, you are right to be concerned about clearances, if you are lucky you might be that a 17" wheel might fit. If possible, try to post your VIN here, but remove your last 6 numbers of course as this might help in partially decoding what you have.
