  1. Time for a scan I would say. Check list for a local user that can plug in. Place your bets, you probably have a broken wire I'm afraid.
  2. On a personal note/observation. I have seen oil filters collapsed on variable service, but never on a fixed. I am only a small data set, and VAG don't care as most cars reach end of warranty before issues arise. That's been my own point of view, maybe a topic of another post on fixed Vs variable 🤔
  3. I've had a few, but Passat 2.0 CR 170ps CBBB iirc Think it was 30,000km and 730 days max distances/mileage. Oranges to Apples I guess!?
  4. Yeah I bet it works it's socks off in hot climates, car sorts out what it likes as always.
  5. Having done my own services on LL, yeah there can be a reduction. Doesn't drop like a stone the distance remaining. Never really checked distances driven, just serviced when it popped up. Guesstimate is 10-20% reduction (I didn't care for exact distance)
  6. I think when you factor in fuel lines, filter and the filler neck, there's plenty of scope for more than xx ltrs, which is where people get confused when they "overfill" I did also read that VAG spec a tank at say 50ltrs, real capacity is a few more litres for expansion and no doubt about 10% extra space. Only way we would truly know is to buy a tank and measure it's full capacity, I'll pass on that myself 😂
  7. @rum4mo Stop start can still stop engine with AC on, it will monitor interior temps. Had this other day at 20C setting, engine off at lights, it got a little warm after 20 seconds and started engine again. Max (Low) no doubt overrides SS system iirc.
  8. Good idea, let me check in Seat collection. MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0369T available and being packed for transport.
  9. Current update is MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0369T You may wish to edit the link out of your post (private information?) If you need update, I can send in a few hours, or someone may send.
  10. If you can confirm make and year for the donor car, then wiring diagrams can be pulled up.
  11. Yes as @Breezy_Pete mentioned, some kind of algorithm. Assessing the oil level and oil quality The Flexible Service Interval Display obtains information from the new oil level/oil temperature sender G266 in order to calculate oil level and oil quality. On diesel engines, the oil quality calculation includes a parameter which indicates the average content of soot particles in the engine oil. This parameter was calculated in trials and is stored in a map. So on a diesel the DPF soot is also a factor too.
  12. Hi

Hello, and goodluck with your project.
  13. I'm no battery expert, but do wonder if the deep discharge has killed off your battery life? Hopefully someone can reply at some point, with the car still in warranty, I'd be sending it back in myself, and they had better do a better job. Wonder if the car has parasitic drain somewhere all this time.
  14. Nice work, glad it's all sorted... Happy motoring!
  15. Some useful insight can be gained by reading of the SSP files from erWin. Here are some extracts from SEAT SSP174 Concepts of Electromobility (aware this is Skoda, but the underlying tech/terms are shared) Forgive the terms used, but does say the "electric machine" is in charge of starting the engine as necessary Slow and Medium charges HV & 12V Fast charging will only charge the HV battery The software inside the various control units will decide as and when to charge up 12V, but there could be bugs as always or some parameters we are not aware of that decide when to keep ICE running when we want to run in e-mode, or when the ICE seemingly starts for no aparant reason (more than likely the 12V hit a limit and needed top up)
  16. I cannot see an iPod connector anymore... (on ETKA) dropped that old tech for USB-C I'm afraid.
  17. There's a 1hr lock out, and to unlock you need to be a "freedom" subscriber. £6-10 per year via PayPal Stops people from editing posts to change messages, and also to keep the server spinning
  18. Nice, a decent detail does take a flippin' long time. I love using a DA polisher, but always makes hands numb, so reckon I end up with mild RSI. Black door glossy trims are scratched just by looking at them, but they do look nice when polished up for sure. As for headlight washer, wonder if a toothpick / toothpick with microfiber can get in the cracks? Looking forward to all the stages/finished pics.
  19. PM in next few minutes is where 👌
  20. @Patent Did you win the wrestling match?
