  1. I’ve had to turn the in car WiFi off in my Superb thus losing the wireless CarPlay as I got fed up of the SatNav, the oem Skoda fitted one as well as Waze/Google Maps getting the position wrong, sometimes by 50 miles, that confused the in dash speed alert into forever chiming and rendering the ACC unusable. Strangely, some days it would be fine but then other days, no chance!

Yep, mine too, although I didn’t know the reason the parking brake would suddenly active - opening the drivers door whilst manoeuvring!
  3. Ah, I see now, I misunderstood, I wrongly assumed you were spraying via the outside air intake……….apologies. 🫢
  4. Not that I've had cause for many years but I’d have thought the pollen filter would catch any lubricants you spray into the inlet portal? The distribution flaps are all, I’d have thought, after the pollutants have been filtered out? Then again I might have it all wrong………
  5. 😎You took the pollen filter out first, yes?😎
  6. Some might say a bit extreme - good luck with the new motor........😎
  7. Mine comes and goes, could be temperature dependant, though I'm not sure of any pattern - if I apply slight pressure in the area indicated it sometimes disappears, though not always........
  8. That looks like a £450 - £500 body shop repair……….?
  9. Blind spot detection looks expensive now…..?
  10. Did the new battery come to you or did you drive to get it - inasmuch as after a battery change much of the strange stuff needs a a few hundred yards and even a bit of lock to lock?
  11. I used to worry about the Kessy vulnerability but no longer - it's not Skoda branded cars that attract the scumbags and scroats.........
  12. Doesn’t look right to me - if it feels like clutch slip then……. -does it behave the same in 4th or 6th? I’m no expert but I think 1 3 5 7 & 2 4 6 use separate clutch workings - I recall a work associate having to drive his DSG manually using just every other gear…….? I don’t think holding in a particular gear would induce what we see in your video clip…I often use 4th on long twisty climb, never experienced any noticeable problem.
  13. Doesn’t look right to me - if it feels like clutch slip then……. -does it behave the same in 4th or 6th?
  14. I have the so called ‘high view’ with the options but I can’t get back to the original view - for a couple of weeks the standard rear view (before / without selecting any option) was a seemingly high definition, normal focal length, no number plate visible (perhaps just a smidge of bumper edge) nice rear view. Then, as on my last Karoq, something changed, the default view is now wider with less definition………curious.
  15. I’m finding that TSR fall well short of what I expected, the only signs it recognises are the Speed Limit ones - I occasionally get a warning in the Superb about a bend or roundabout but these come from the mapping / guidance software, not the TSR - even then it’s not consistent.
  16. I’m taken aback at how sharp / dangerous a little delaminating chrome trim can be - and equally, how much mess blood can cause in a motor whilst grabbing a tissue!
  17. It does on the our mid 24 model - in fact it grabs any number it can - speed alert going off regularly for random signage.
  18. Snap - you made the same mistake as me tt - I was convinced I had the button too……!
  19. Apologies - just been out make a video of the function and I’m mistaken - it only features on my Superb, not the Karoo where the space is blank. Sorry mistac, my mind playing tricks on me - I will say though, that digital display and the buttons are all a bit much, talk about distractions…….
  20. Standard spec. Edit: Getting confused with my digital displays and cars mixed up, there’s no such button on our standard spec Karoo.
  21. Question 1 - Yes. Question 2 - More difficult to answer. Our 2024 Karoq without Adaptive Cruise - No. My 2022 Superb with Adaptive Cruise works differently inasmuch as it knows well before a lower limit area and enters the lower zone at the correct speed - if it picks up a lower limit signage, be it temporary or a 20mph school area, it just nags and flashes the lower limit on screen, just as it does if I exceed the posted speed limit. Question 3 - I've not noticed the speed limit missing on any screen choice on either vehicle.
  22. On my 2024 SEL pressing that button brings up a selection / list of things to switch on / off like lane guidance etc.
  23. Had to change both fronts on my 2024 Karoq this week - making an horrendous noise - delivered 1st July, just 10 weeks ago, less than 1000miles. Very poor quality the OEM ones - Bosch are by far superior.
  24. I run a 2010 1.6tdi Golf - bought it new when the belt interval was hailed as being 100k - that was quickly revised down shortly after to 5 years. If the new belts are indeed 140k with no time limit why doesn’t the criteria apply to earlier engines after a belt change? In the 80’s when belts became fashionable I was in the driving tuition business and lots of my competitors were suffering expensive premature failure with no help from manufacturers. The reason given I recall was that lots of engine stalling puts excessive sudden strain on the belt. Could have been true? Either way, despite my Golf being DSG and thereby giving the engine a easier life I’ve stuck to the 5 year regime, coming up to my third change in a couple of months - the pain and expense suffered by my competitors all those years ago still has a haunting effect on me….😁
