  1. Nice - I must admit, having a 15 year old Golf and a Superb estate, both with bonnet struts - I'm forever surprised by how much the Karoq bonnet weighs and the effort required to lift it..........
  2. Can't find the post but I'm sure this was asked on here before - seem to think it'd got something to do with a firmware update taking place........then again I might have dreamt it?
  3. I'm sure that all they do is check it works and report back at extra cost if it needs gas or anything else - that fluff about inspecting the compressor, condenser and dryer is just that, fluff - as for the other 34 point car check, hmmm........ So, in answer to your question, ask yourself, does it work, is it cold enough? If no then don't waste £99 on what you already know, use it towards the cost of re gassing.
  4. I use E5 all the time in my 280 but a tankful in the Karoq 1.5 made no difference apart from costing me £4 more…! 🙂
  5. Cardboard boxes are recognised as not being a threat - try the wife else a brick wall…….🤔 Seriously though, ours very rarely responds to anything - it does however, work, I suspect you have to be on the move so to speak as both times I’ve had it show up was when I became distracted and the car in front stopped. I haven’t got time to fully check now but IIRC there’s 2 systems, one controlled by the radar camera and the other uses the sensors on the bumper, I’ve got the latter turned ‘off’ - check yours, listed under ‘Parking and Manoeuvring’ and try the cardboard box thing again……….
  6. Impressive……….45 - 55 is all our 1.5 manages and I thought that was good!
  7. This is my 2022 Heated L&K Screen stamp........I think the 'A61' is the heated code......
  8. Berisford replied to Hdsn555's topic in Skoda Karoq
As far as I’m aware any VCDS tweaks have effectively been neutered on recent models - certainly on our 22 Superb……..
  9. Well, has it, hasn’t it, does it matter? If it hasn’t unless you can get the seller to replace it then it is what it is. The clip may just have broken off, it does happen. There’s a very slight change in the engine note on our Superb when the heated screen is switched on due to the heavy load placed on the alternator………
  10. That was from a battery charger - as I was curious about how high the cars 'system' charges I checked yesterday after a 200 mile run - I gave the car 30 minutes to settle and then run a basic test - 'State of charge 98%' - 12.64v - 395amp out of a 420 rated battery. So the car's charging system does top up much higher than I thought - I did a similar test on our Superb and that (IIRC) only showed 66% - although that battery was replaced under warranty. Either way, I wouldn't like to letting either of our Skodas stand for 4 weeks - my trusty old 2010 Golf however..........not a problem. In my garage / yard I leave the Karoq unlocked when I know it's not required for a couple of weeks or so because I've convinced myself it doesn't 'run down' as quick - I'm thinking the Kessy system must drain a bit whilst constantly awaiting / searching for a command?
  11. 2 weeks standing (unlocked) from full charge can see our 2024 Karoq battery down to 35%..........still more than enough to start the car but I consider that to be quite a drain?
  12. Back to original topic / query..........when you get the wrong speed limit warning is the sat nav showing exactly where you are or is that wrong too?
  13. Similar here on our 2024 SEL.........only way the arrows can be displayed in the middle is if I cancel the dials......
  14. Do what I do - keep pressing any and all of those buttons until you find the right combination - I appreciate the tech on cars tries to be all things to all men but struth, far too complicated....?
  15. We have both, Superb Estate and 1.5 SEL Karoq - The ride in the Superb is much better and it has more toys, that said I'm happy to take either - the Karoq is jiggly and as 'logiclee' points out it does bang and crash a bit on the rear, also it can be difficult to drive smoothly in urban traffic, however, the fuel economy of the 1.5 is remarkable.
  16. I’m sure the Haldex has been reassigned to 2 years…..?
  17. I bet some scroat has nicked that........
  18. I’m with ‘leolito’, disabled it as the snapping back routine is more than a little concerning….. .
  19. Rural North Nottinghamshire……..
  20. Direct with Aviva since new - comprehensive, me (70), the wife (66), parked on driveway, 5k miles, full no-claims £400 excess. Just for comparison I let the meerkats have a punt and the best Sergi could come up with was £285.
  21. Pleasantly surprised this a.m.,my insurance renewal has come in at £72 lower than last year……..down to £204. 2022 L&K 280 Estate.
  22. How’s your DAB reception since fitting the rear camera?
  23. Very impressive - I drive my 280 like a saint and can only get 40mpg.........
  24. I'll have a guess - rear offside.
