Yes - ours was the same when delivered in July - I narrowed it down by applying pressure to somewhere near the drivers side central vent - a wooden coffee stirring stick suitably inserted from below seemed to cure it.

Oh for the long ago days of my youth when a couple of Cibie’s could be bolted on and easily wired through a mechanical relay…….

Actually no, I don’t do anything to prompt coasting, it now just selects itself at any opportunity, in ‘D’ - I must say, I quite like it, amazing how freely and how far the car coasts. Without a doubt though, the car has never coasted previously, something has changed.

I've owned my 280 from new in March 21 - curiously it has never 'coasted', even in 'Eco' (not that I was bothered) - that was until 2 days ago - now it coasts. Can't explain it other than it adopted the new found coasting mode after a serious red-line thrash...! Anyone?

Our dealer asked for my side of the finance (30%) a few days before picking up the new Karoq in July - never had to do it before, wasn't worth making too much of a fuss but I was a bit narked. Neither would they use my debit card (something I've always done in the past) they wanted BACS transfer.

I've not noticed anything in our 2024 model other than my iphone gets worryingly hot whilst wireless charging in the little drawer and running Waze........

I would agree - looks as if you've got the option cjp and didn't know it - perhaps it's switched 'off' in the menu? I like how you're able to get a list of features on the certificate - mine shows nothing at all. Skoda do like to muddy the waters - I see it's now called 'Dynamic Headlight Control'....! Edit; Perhaps not - seems that Automatic high beam switches the HB off when it detects oncoming lights & the Adaptive lights appears to mean the lights have some cornering trick whereas High Beam Assist bends the HB light throw to avoid dazzling other?

If it’s not sufficient pressure on the foot brake there is a emergency release under the lever - you have to remove the cover plate first - quite easy, instructions on YouTube.

I can’t help but think that what you’d like to do / propose will be frighteningly expensive?

I didn’t bother with anything other than the wheel and tool tray - just removed the gunk / pump tray, fixed the big plastic screw thingy and now use the space around the spare for a few necessaries like kneeling mat, gloves, disposable raincoat etc.

The only traffic full beam assist annoys is big trucks approaching a crest - the driver, sat up high, sees me before the car sees him - that is the wizardry doesn’t see him until his lights are picked up - only happened a few times though. That said I do find it (HBA) impossible to switch off without first switching full beam ‘on’ to switch it off again - a bit protracted and a faff. Am I missing something obvious?

Not got high beam assist on the Karoq but it’s fitted to my Superb, clever, but I dread to think what it’d cost if any component failed…….… ……..Traffic sign recognition is on both but it’s a bit limited, that is, only sees speed limit signage.

Home is fine, in our Karoq is fine - but in the Superb it's a lottery inasmuch as phone apps in car the will sometimes connect fine but other times, no chance. And when Waze Apps etc are disoriented so is the Skoda MIB system. It doesn't appear to be caused by the iphone because I've had the good lady disconnect and turn off the phone fully and still the MIB unit is lost....!

My 32 month old 280 Estate, only ever used on fine weather high days and holidays is driving me mad. The navigation reception often refuses to behave - it has too many 'off' moments when locating my position and staying locked on is just not possible. Sometimes it takes 10 miles to lock on from start-up - other times it's ready almost instantly - Other times when the road layout is complicated it gets confused and might take several miles to find itself again. Often it can be 50 miles out, often in the sea, other times when it's confused by complicated junctions or loss of signal in multi-storeys etc it settles down to any road nearby - just not the road I'm on. Curious thing is that whatever is causing the confusion not only affects the Skoda Nav but my iphone too, Google maps, Waze, Apple maps - all get lost. I've had it looked at by the dealer but, not unexpectedly 'no fault found, we can't replicate it sir'! As I drove out the dealership car park the system was clearly lost but when I fetched someone out to witness it , all was well again. I found something (internet) similar on a VW claiming all was fixed by disconnecting the car WiFi and using a cable - it seemed to work but the next time I was out the confusion was back again. It's quite irritating when it gets lost inasmuch as the speed alert believes I'm on the ghost road and is forever going off. I'm getting near to the end of my warranty so I'd like to get it fixed but it's so unpredictable and fickle - anyone?

I went up to Bridlington a few weeks ago - your East Yorkshire potholes have got a long way to go, not in the same league as ours! 😀

Very nice - as for the 'rubber bands' - I too removed them within the first few days and replaced with 16" alloys and CrossClimates - now equipped for Nottinghamshires potholes....😎

This is our 24 SEL Karoq with the TSR and Lane Assist turned off.
