  1. I can’t help but think that what you’d like to do / propose will be frighteningly expensive?
  2. I didn’t bother with anything other than the wheel and tool tray - just removed the gunk / pump tray, fixed the big plastic screw thingy and now use the space around the spare for a few necessaries like kneeling mat, gloves, disposable raincoat etc.
  3. The only traffic full beam assist annoys is big trucks approaching a crest - the driver, sat up high, sees me before the car sees him - that is the wizardry doesn’t see him until his lights are picked up - only happened a few times though. That said I do find it (HBA) impossible to switch off without first switching full beam ‘on’ to switch it off again - a bit protracted and a faff. Am I missing something obvious?
  4. Not got high beam assist on the Karoq but it’s fitted to my Superb, clever, but I dread to think what it’d cost if any component failed…….… ……..Traffic sign recognition is on both but it’s a bit limited, that is, only sees speed limit signage.
  5. Nice…..I do regret not choosing that green colour with beige interior.
  6. Home is fine, in our Karoq is fine - but in the Superb it's a lottery inasmuch as phone apps in car the will sometimes connect fine but other times, no chance. And when Waze Apps etc are disoriented so is the Skoda MIB system. It doesn't appear to be caused by the iphone because I've had the good lady disconnect and turn off the phone fully and still the MIB unit is lost....!
  7. My 32 month old 280 Estate, only ever used on fine weather high days and holidays is driving me mad. The navigation reception often refuses to behave - it has too many 'off' moments when locating my position and staying locked on is just not possible. Sometimes it takes 10 miles to lock on from start-up - other times it's ready almost instantly - Other times when the road layout is complicated it gets confused and might take several miles to find itself again. Often it can be 50 miles out, often in the sea, other times when it's confused by complicated junctions or loss of signal in multi-storeys etc it settles down to any road nearby - just not the road I'm on. Curious thing is that whatever is causing the confusion not only affects the Skoda Nav but my iphone too, Google maps, Waze, Apple maps - all get lost. I've had it looked at by the dealer but, not unexpectedly 'no fault found, we can't replicate it sir'! As I drove out the dealership car park the system was clearly lost but when I fetched someone out to witness it , all was well again. I found something (internet) similar on a VW claiming all was fixed by disconnecting the car WiFi and using a cable - it seemed to work but the next time I was out the confusion was back again. It's quite irritating when it gets lost inasmuch as the speed alert believes I'm on the ghost road and is forever going off. I'm getting near to the end of my warranty so I'd like to get it fixed but it's so unpredictable and fickle - anyone?

I went up to Bridlington a few weeks ago - your East Yorkshire potholes have got a long way to go, not in the same league as ours! 😀

Very nice - as for the 'rubber bands' - I too removed them within the first few days and replaced with 16" alloys and CrossClimates - now equipped for Nottinghamshires potholes....😎
  10. This is our 24 SEL Karoq with the TSR and Lane Assist turned off.
  11. Ah, I see, yes they will be the same and therefore will be compatible / interchangeable. Can’t say if it’ll fit in spare wheel well though.
  12. Yes, almost identical circumference.
  13. The ET of my Audi alloys is 42 - thus pushing the centre of my wheels 1mm further out of the wheel arch than the Skoda spec - I can live with that.......
  14. I think pressing the right hand side roller ends a call?
  15. You can switch off the light and message but the car will still use 2 cylinder mode when the conditions are right.
  16. Our SEL Karoq with 215/65 16 Michelin Cross-climates on my trusty old (07) Audi alloys.
  17. I have a set of 16" Audi alloys with Michelin Cross climates on for use in the winter months - I'm sure if I was the type of driver that pushed to the limit I might notice some differences in steering feedback / response, but I'm not......😄 I do like the extra sidewall depth, gives me added blase regarding the state of the roads around here.
  18. I've been out this a.m. and had a play with the wiper settings - my personal default position for the wipers is to leave them on 'auto intermittent', this suits me, the rear wiper givers a single wipe when I select reverse, but only if it's raining and never wipes of its own accord as I drive along. However, if I switch the front wipers to 'on', that is operating continuously, the back wiper gives a single wipe every 30 seconds or so.........perhaps I've never experienced this before because I only use the various 'intermittent' settings?
  19. I'd give it a test - find a well marked road and deliberately wander (gently) across the center line. The visual central (at the bottom) dash display also monitors the 'lines', amber for having trouble finding the line and green for locked on........

Looking at the new brochure there seems to be an anomaly inasmuch as the SE is described as having the front and rear sensors as well as a rear camera but in the ‘extras’ it comes in at £890 extra!
  21. Curious - sure you've got it switched on? Ours is forever tugging at the wheel, not quite as aggressively as my Superb, but nonetheless you know about it - I some times also get the admonishment chime and 'stay in lane' visual notice. Unless you drive like a saint and signal each and every lane change I'm very surprised to read you've never felt it......
  22. Owners with the unwanted random / intermittent rear wipe must surely have something incorrectly set else there’s a fault - I’ve had a 2019 Karoq and now a 2024 model and neither had / have this problem. The only time the rear wiper operates of its own accord is when I have the fronts on and select reverse in the rain.
  23. Been driving Skoda since 2018 and never noticed the vehicle lights all feature on the ‘Vehicle Status’ display - that is to say whenever any lights are on, such as indicators, brake lights etc, they show up on the vehicle depiction screen - has it always been so and I’ve never noticed or it something new?
  24. You’re going to need those Bosch wipers……
  25. Our July 2024 SEL does the steering wheel wiggle engine start - I miss the gear indicator though - have to do the old rpm / road speed check - I do find it quite reluctant to go into 7th, around 50 needs to be achieved - a quick way to check is to move the selector momentarily into ‘M’ and the clear number is displayed.
