  1. I have a 2022 fully loaded L&k Superb, traffic sign recognition seems to mean ‘speed limit’ only - never seen anything other than speed limits displayed on the top right screen…..?
  2. What’s become of our member Aperture, font of knowledge in all things Superb? He’s not been around lately…….
  3. Maybe - but our SEL has the speed limit chime business the autobrake and the 'lane departure' nuisance.......can't see the Sportline has any others unless the automatic cruise control counts?
  4. In the Superb the blue full beam light is on all the time when not in a 30 zone and the gizmo just gets on with it, even illuminating up the hedgerows/sides of the vehicle I’m following!
  5. Usual main dealer faff - when I first raised the issue 12 months earlier they claimed nothing was wrong and it was 'a glitch' - then, armed with video evidence we'd made they had to have it in the workshop to check what I was saying, and of course, they couldn't fit it in for a couple of weeks - then we had to wait for the new Controller and when the day finally came they broke some connector off the new controller although they claimed it was already broken - either way another delay but amazingly they were able to source one for next day though it took a further day to reassemble the car. It was mentioned that the part was north of £1100..........Good luck matey. When I filled the 'satisfaction' survey in I complained about the amount of time it all took, dealer came back with some gonads about how it could have been done and dusted in a much shorter time frame if I'd have been prepared to finance the repair myself rather than wait for Skoda warranty to sanction it....! Cheeky gits.
  6. Had a similar problem - turned out to be the ‘OnlineServices Controller’ - expensive!
  7. I wonder if the mileage was just the one journey, Milton Keynes to Rochdale?
  8. Rear ABS ring, probably offside?
  9. Quite painful to watch - to be fair, recovery services and the companies that operate 'em have always been shoddy (yes, I'm sure there will be exceptions) but you know what I mean....... I've been rescued/recovered a few times in my 55 year motoring career and none of the events stand out as commendable.
  10. Yep, sounds almost exactly as I experienced - only difference is I turned down the hire car seeing as Škoda Assist and the AA patrol indicated it would be simple battery swap out - but as I mentioned, dealer wanted to do their own diagnostics and only when they were ready - took 10 days to resolve! I’m disappointed and saddened as to how far so called ‘customer service’ has fallen. Good luck.
  11. If your Skoda dealer is anything like ours then you'll be in that hire car for a few weeks - I found there seems to be a disconnect between the AA, Skoda Assist and most importantly, the dealer - who in my case was most put out that they had to take the car in. Much mutterings about the word of a AA patrol v their own workshop diagnostic.........
  12. Simply test / feel the timer for any heat whilst it’s charging - if it’s hot then stop using it but if you’re only pulling 7 amps then I doubt you’ll have a problem…….
  13. There's a Polish site selling a Karoq windscreen with exactly the same code / identification mark as your photo - and it's heated? https://allegro.pl/oferta/szyba-przednia-skoda-karoq-lift-2020-sol-grzana-13550341579?dd_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F I think the AS1 code relates to the 'heated' screens - not sure why I posted A61 on the Superb thread.........
  14. Aviva recently renewed my 280 for a very reasonable £72 lower than last @ £204 (full NCD) - I expected a similar sort of reduction on the Karoq, especially as it's in my wife's name and she's still building a NCD but no, last year £333 this year £338. I have asked Sergei the Meercat and his mates and they came up with the £290 yet only £240 if we trade up to a new Sportline? A law unto themselves Insurance companies........
  15. Some good deals about at the minute. Tempted to upgrade our June 24 SE-L to a Sportline but I’m put off by the glass roof and its potential to give trouble - and to be fair we bought the SEL to see out (certainly mine) days without having to buy one of the EV offerings. Curiously, the insurance on a new Sportline is coming up somewhat cheaper than the 1 year old SEL, £240 v £290……?
  16. Nice little win on the way down - but, like me, you pay when coming back…….
  17. In the latest Skoda Karoq brochure, I wonder why in the options list a price is shown when it's fitted as standard to all across the range?
  18. Yes, just checked our June 24 model, Halogen fogs, not sure if that knock out the 'cornering' option? Either way, I feel cheated, 50 year old tech (admittedly it works) still being fitted.......clearly shows up as 'different' when illuminated below the LED headlamps......
  19. There was a time when buying a newly released model from the lower end of the range was not the best policy as equipment levels were minimal - as the model got further into its life ‘toys’ and desirable trim was added to keep things fresh. Unfortunately this former trend has almost disappeared, as this thread discusses, with current policy to remove stuff from the spec list. I’ve a 2024 SEL built during the changeover weeks and it came with the ‘flex’ rear seat, an expensive option on the current model and I did gain the bigger electronic dash display - however, I lost the previously standard ‘light package’ that I hadn’t noticed until I checked today……no cornering fogs, self levelling or automatic left/right hand driving for me. Swings and roundabouts, as they say……..
  20. Has it got the chrome brightwork around the windows (SEL) or black (SE)….?
  21. 6200 on a March 22 - when I ordered it during Covid I really thought I'd be getting out more but alas, what with the potholes and endless traffic congestion, I was wrong.
  22. 2010 Golf, owned from new, never needed a top-up, still frosty cold………
  23. Nah, mine's on and off all the time in urban traffic - if the OP has not seen any evidence of it working it's probably busted.......
  24. Just get yourself into some multi lane stop start urban traffic - preferably in the centre lane of 3 - the BSM should / will be lighting up like a council house at Christmas……… Does the rear blind spot system work OK, that is the warning beep when reversing out into traffic / pedestrians?
