So I gave my door handles a "facelift", just like the ones found in the Superb facelift.......but it only cost me $6 for the roll, from AliExpress 😉

Swapped the pins, as @MartinB explained, n its looking good now!! woOot. Haven't gone for an actual drive, but it seems to b remembering the start-stop state.

There are 2 versions of Columbus:- - MIB2 with buttons on the side - MIB2.5 without buttons (from MY18 onwards) Mine is MY17.

Thank u @RomanB. I've told 1433 is the latest for MIB2, which is wat i have. 1440 is for MIB2.5, so no good for mine.

@RomanB - thanks for this, however i can't seem to find the firmware (MHI2_ER_SKG11_K3343 MU1433) for my MIB2 Columbus. do you know which folder its in?

I didn't get any errors either even when I correctly swapped pins 1 & 7. Instead certain buttons stopped working. Will try swapping the correct pins today n see how it goes.

So u have Version B headlights with the green circular retaining clip? If so, the green clip comes out with the D3S bulb. U must twist (green clip with bulb together) slightly, then unclip to release n pull out. The reverse to put it back in. It's a PITA to put it back though cause placement needs to b precise, otherwise the green retaining clip won't close/hold. Or do u have Version A with the white circular look and metal spring clips? If so, squeeze the metal pins together, and simply pull the D3S bulb out. Good luck.

@MartiniB - I too bought one of these devices many weeks ago, from wat is likely the same seller on AliExpress. Initially I ordered the wrong version - one suited for the Chinese Superb. Contacted seller n got the right version sent. Installed it - nothing happens, i.e. it doesn't remember the start-stop states after ignition off, despite "changing" between modes. Spoke to the seller, n they suggested I swap pins 1 & 7 on their device. Did that, made it worse as start-stop button and Traction Control button stopped working. Removed the device. Seller asked me to now swap pins 1 & 6. I said no thanks, give me my refund. I'm not keen on testing. Seller has sent me another one, with the "correct wiring". It's in transit currently. This one better work plug'n'play.

So I was curious n got Gandalf an ECS Diverter Valve Spacer, to get some turbo whooshes. The installation was easy - took me less than 10 mins. The results - not loud at all. In fact, u hardly hear it most times. It's discreet and doesn't draw any unwanted attention 😊 If the car was tuned to a Stg 1 or 2, or if it were a Manual, then it would've been heard a lot more louder. Or maybe a CAI too. It's not designed to give an performance gains. Nonetheless, happy with it 👍

Hi @pab567 - do u know wat the latest version the Columbus MIB2 is running? mine is currently:- - Device part number: 3V0035045D - Hardware: H50 - Software: 0942 i believe there is an update for the MIB2.5 units - v1440. Thanks in advance :-)

It's likely one of the inner securing tabs on that corner is not in place properly. Also, ur parking on the sensor is not flush with the surface of the diffuser. I have also bought the SuperSkoda Sportline diffuser and fitted (about 2 yrs ago) it to mine.....

Finally washed after many many weeks n weeks!! Also, I was feeling a bit "foggy" - so I vinyl tinted it in light smoke black, and got fog light frames 😊 Next I'll b vinyl tinting the rear tail lights in light smoke black too. They r however more complicated to do with complex lines n curves.

U'll know u have DCC when u select the Driving Mode and u have Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport and Individual modes. Or physically looking at the shocks to c a tube/cylinder (size of a small redbull can) sticking out the side of the shock itself. Enjoy ur new ride 👍

Wow, I was going to vinyl wrap my rear taillights in smoke black tint this weekend!!! Urs looks good. I have the wrap, heat gun, squige ready. I have already done my front fog lights. The rear tail lights r more complicated though, given the complex lines, curves and steps. But I'll give it a go.

Long curves r no issues for the TJA. Shorter curves r a hit n miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes, no. A lot depends on how good the lane marking are on either side. Sharper turns r a definite no good for TJA.

Where did u get the firmware from?

The mk3.5 Superb is different (hardware wise) when it comes to ACC and the A5 camera, so u can't assume the same things as found with coding/changes with the pre-facelift Superb.

That is perfect, and normal. I have SLA headlights, hence why it does some extra bits and pieces on the startup test. I used to have normal bi-xenons before, and it did the exact same as urs now.

When u startup, does the headlight dance go down, out, back to centre then back up again? Sounds like urs off either due to bad alignment of faulty AFS controllers and/or sensors. My startup looks like this. https://youtu.be/cqCnOi2dDnc

TJA will work at ALL speeds, provided ACC is active and ALG can see at least one side of road lane markings. below r some scenarios where I can activate TJA:- 1. ACC = Inactive; ALG = Active. TJA = Inactive. Car is travelling at 30 km/h. When i activate ACC, TJA is activated, provided ALG can see lane markings, i.e. green. 2. ACC = Inactive; ALG = Active. TJA = Inactive. Car is stopped. I activate ACC, TJA is activated once i tap the accelerator or resume to get going. 3. ACC = Active(80 km/h); ALG = Active. TJA = Active. Car is travelling at 80 km/h. Traffic builds up, speed drops to 50 km/h, TJA continues to remain active. Traffic comes to a stop, TJA continues to remain active. ACC automatically gets the car moving again as car was stopped for less than 3 secs, TJA continues to remain active. 4. ACC = Active(80 km/h); ALG = Inactive. TJA = Inactive. Car is travelling at 80 km/h. When I activate ALG, TJA is activated, provided ALG can see lane markings, i.e. green. 5. ACC = Active(40 km/h); ALG = Inactive. TJA = Inactive. Car is travelling at 40 km/h. When I activate ALG, TJA is activated, provided ALG can see lane markings, i.e. green. 6. ACC = Active(80 km/h); ALG = Active. TJA = Active. Car is travelling at 70 km/h. ALG looses sight of lane markings, causing ALG to become inactive. As a result TJA is deactivated. 7. ACC = Inactive; ALG = Active. TJA = Inactive. Car is travelling at 80 km/h. Traffic builds up, i slow down, speed drops to 50 km/h. ALG is deactivated, i.e. amber, because speed has dropped below 65 km/h and because ACC is not active, hence TJA is not active either.

Yeah, something to do with road/driving regulations and crap like that in certain countries - so easier for Skoda to enable just the appropriate side only, based on RHD or LHD.

It has 2 rear foglights, hence 2 bulbs, but only 1 of them is active when the foglights r turned on. There has been discussions on how to enable both.

It's in the settings for Android Auto. See image below. Do it via ur phone. U can't access the settings through the infotainment screen. Mine will resume playback with Spotify.

At low speeds is when it is most obvious, the swivelling of the low beam left and/or right. At high speeds, it's far less obvious as the movement is subtle. Just like ur steering input - at low speed, the steering is pronounced more by turning the wheels more, but at higher speeds, ur wheels don't turn as much.
