  1. Wow, I was going to vinyl wrap my rear taillights in smoke black tint this weekend!!! Urs looks good. I have the wrap, heat gun, squige ready. I have already done my front fog lights. The rear tail lights r more complicated though, given the complex lines, curves and steps. But I'll give it a go.
  2. Long curves r no issues for the TJA. Shorter curves r a hit n miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes, no. A lot depends on how good the lane marking are on either side. Sharper turns r a definite no good for TJA.
  3. Where did u get the firmware from?
  4. The mk3.5 Superb is different (hardware wise) when it comes to ACC and the A5 camera, so u can't assume the same things as found with coding/changes with the pre-facelift Superb.
  5. That is perfect, and normal. I have SLA headlights, hence why it does some extra bits and pieces on the startup test. I used to have normal bi-xenons before, and it did the exact same as urs now.
  6. When u startup, does the headlight dance go down, out, back to centre then back up again? Sounds like urs off either due to bad alignment of faulty AFS controllers and/or sensors. My startup looks like this. https://youtu.be/cqCnOi2dDnc
  7. TJA will work at ALL speeds, provided ACC is active and ALG can see at least one side of road lane markings. below r some scenarios where I can activate TJA:- 1. ACC = Inactive; ALG = Active. TJA = Inactive. Car is travelling at 30 km/h. When i activate ACC, TJA is activated, provided ALG can see lane markings, i.e. green. 2. ACC = Inactive; ALG = Active. TJA = Inactive. Car is stopped. I activate ACC, TJA is activated once i tap the accelerator or resume to get going. 3. ACC = Active(80 km/h); ALG = Active. TJA = Active. Car is travelling at 80 km/h. Traffic builds up, speed drops to 50 km/h, TJA continues to remain active. Traffic comes to a stop, TJA continues to remain active. ACC automatically gets the car moving again as car was stopped for less than 3 secs, TJA continues to remain active. 4. ACC = Active(80 km/h); ALG = Inactive. TJA = Inactive. Car is travelling at 80 km/h. When I activate ALG, TJA is activated, provided ALG can see lane markings, i.e. green. 5. ACC = Active(40 km/h); ALG = Inactive. TJA = Inactive. Car is travelling at 40 km/h. When I activate ALG, TJA is activated, provided ALG can see lane markings, i.e. green. 6. ACC = Active(80 km/h); ALG = Active. TJA = Active. Car is travelling at 70 km/h. ALG looses sight of lane markings, causing ALG to become inactive. As a result TJA is deactivated. 7. ACC = Inactive; ALG = Active. TJA = Inactive. Car is travelling at 80 km/h. Traffic builds up, i slow down, speed drops to 50 km/h. ALG is deactivated, i.e. amber, because speed has dropped below 65 km/h and because ACC is not active, hence TJA is not active either.
  8. Yeah, something to do with road/driving regulations and crap like that in certain countries - so easier for Skoda to enable just the appropriate side only, based on RHD or LHD.
  9. It has 2 rear foglights, hence 2 bulbs, but only 1 of them is active when the foglights r turned on. There has been discussions on how to enable both.
  10. It's in the settings for Android Auto. See image below. Do it via ur phone. U can't access the settings through the infotainment screen. Mine will resume playback with Spotify.
  11. At low speeds is when it is most obvious, the swivelling of the low beam left and/or right. At high speeds, it's far less obvious as the movement is subtle. Just like ur steering input - at low speed, the steering is pronounced more by turning the wheels more, but at higher speeds, ur wheels don't turn as much.
  12. With my Android Auto, "ok google" won't hear me unless I've played some audio through it. So mine is set to autoplay music upon connection, hence when I give my command - it listens no problem.
  13. as long as u don't have the 280/272 Superb, it will b fine, as they require minimum 17" rims to clear the disc brakes.
  14. there is no way u can damage the ACC radar unit without damaging the front radar cover. on top of that, the cover doesn't even touch the radar in any way shape or form, so u'd have to do some extreme bumper bending before it does any damage to the radar or its bracket. the dealer is being lazy, and charging u to replace the unit, plus to do an ACC radar calibration!!
  15. V1.5 would b for the newer facelift models, which have the second gen A5 camera and also have predictive-ACC.
  16. No, there is no TJA that can stop for 13 secs. U r getting confused with the adaptive lane guidance which can steer for 13 secs, hands free, before ur asked to put ur hands on the steering wheel. If I don't put ur hands on the wheel, u get another warning another 13 secs later. If u don't listen again, it will get ****ed off n slam on the brakes to "shock" u. It keeps going.......
  17. TJA active or not, ACC won't automatically resume if the car is stopped for more 3 secs. U need to resume by tapping the accelerator or pulling the cruise control stalk to resume. As I said in a previous post - if u have TJA, the adaptive lane guidance will continue to work with ACC even if u drop below 65km/h. If u don't have TJA, the adaptive lane guidance will stop working below 65 km/h and only ACC will continue to b active.
  18. The rear parking sensors r clipped onto the black lower diffuser. No need to remove the whole rear bumper. Once the diffuser is removed, check the sensor connections, and if necessary, replace faulty sensor.
  19. If u do have TJA, the car will continue to do adaptive lane guidance even below 65 km/h, all the way down to stop and go, with ACC. If u don't have TJA, when u drop below 65 km/h, the lane assist will cease to function. ACC will continue to work though, down to stop and go.
  20. Very misleading as that was done on a Kamiq, which has much newer hardware like a newer multi function camera (gen2) and MIB3!!! The pre-FL Superb does not have this hardware. pACC is an option for the FL Superb because it has the necessary hardware like the Kamiq.
  21. Cause it's an aftermarket, after thought stuck on protector.
  22. I've got the 19" Phoenix/Trinity wheels on mine, also Business Grey. I think the machined/polished finish look works well.
  23. It's a feature activation mechanism called SWaP (SoftWare as Product). By entering an FeC (Feature enablement code), VW techs can provision your vehicle's infotainment system with new features. Features, like pACC, can only be enabled by having a legitimate FeC code and PIN. These are registered to the vehicle using ODIS with an online connection to VWAG. That implies there's an association that happens on VW's servers that ties that registration code to your vehicle's VIN.
  24. No it can't be retrofitted. Needs to be SWAP activated which can only b done by HQ.
