  1. Moved to the Favia MK II section. I had mine in for a service, a superb, I casually mentioned my 12v circuit was dead, they charged £12 to change it. They had a job figuring out which one it was too. I could also of eventually changed it. Might be a good local VAG independent that can help. Certainly not a main dealer that would be £62 or something like that
  2. Hi Kev, Thanks for your patience. Tricky one, we leave all the content. So if you’d used 6Gb, you’d be over the limit, so would not be able to add new. Hope that helps. Open to feedback, constraints are the software we use.
  3. no ban sticks here, forgot to put them on charge after Brexit. its a difficult world we live in. The old adage of one man’s scrap is another’s gold, is too true on so many metaphorical levels for our society today. So, all’s good
  4. Thankfully we’re all different and different things matter to different people. A gentle reminder gentlemen, the site rules and general summary: be nice. Points can be made, respectfully. otherwise I have to spend time in my life sorting out and reading pages and pages of … well you get the idea not many days left for any of us, no point wasting words. tap pint glasses, move forward please.
  5. Thanks all. We’re actually not much closer to ordering. Although do now have to do it. the y is out due to musks antics of late. Who knows perhaps I’ll be sued for not buying it now we were so close to it. the enjoy is the front runner now as ionic removed. renault scenic is a very strong contender, however cabin ergonomics means swmbo is a long way from the screens. She’s not sure she likes that. It’s in the voice, “use the voice”, will provide a few chuckles. frustratingly the byd seal excellence is an option, however it’s a saloon. Ford explorer too, comfortable but tiny boot, smaller than her current ford focus.
  6. Ciao, The community is using international english, or as close to it as you can get for posts. We're international and right or wrong, english is preferred. Feel free to use a translator. Post in your native tongue with a translation is also ok, sometimes it's not easy to translate directly. Grazie. Buona vita
  7. I was getting some weird engine management lights and odd behviour. Took the throttle pedal gizmo out and all was fine. They go bad sometimes/eventually... so bear that in mind if you get odd behaviour. I'd forgotten it was there I notice the difference without it. Run eco mode normally, then tap into sport or manual if I want to be a bit more responsive. With the pedal gizmo it was fine pretty much always in eco mode. Not what one buys this type of car for, but also looking down on the motorway to see you left it in sport and it's sitting there in 5th awaiitng the starters pistol... and you joined a few junctions back... hehe oops.
  8. Moved to superb owners forum, hopefully a knowledgable person will be along in a few minutes. IIRC I don't have a back seat option to. but generally similar to the front, I don't sit in the back very often though.
  9. ColinD replied to millsy1995's topic in Skoda Karoq
Moved to karoq owners. Hopefully someone will be along shortly with the knowledge.
  10. I'll take the plain jane wolf in sheep clothing. Went to look at the byd seal. Very nice. But why they made it a saloon we'll never know. Totally impractical for almost anyone, including golf playing execs. Nice brakes on the 3.6 version though. Suspect one of these would be a lot of fun in rural Wales on a quiet night.
  11. Tak @eco1 The language of posts should be international english, or, if in your native tongue, accompained with an english translation. We appreicate not all things are easily explained. I'd struggle to describe what my problem/answer is in greek for example. HTH
  12. @Prezafab there are no guarantees anything will sell just because it's listed here. Just as it might not on ebay. The freedom 'paywall; if you like is more a donation, however in this situation, I do appreciate how it can feel like a barrier. Why when you're leaving skoda etc... I do get it and wrestle with it frequently. The way we have it, it is reasonably protected from scammers. At least to advertise, we have a very low incidence rate, plus you keep all your sale money. IDK know what ebay charge now. The choice is entirely yours. IF you felt you got value from the community, it's a pint of beer, maybe a fancy coffee, down south prices at least Hope this helps.
  13. Apologies for the delay, moved. As to which bars, I checked with a thule supplier, If you contact someone similar, they will, might ask you for a reg and a picture of your roof. This helps them. There are so many options I thought I'd gotten the right pair, emailed them to check
  14. Have moved to octavia area. Hopefully more info incoming.
  15. I've moved this post to a move trafficed area. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will see it now
  16. @Willmond I've removed the non english quoted replies. There is no need to quote, translate to your native tongue then post the trnslated replies. For one we're not sure what the text is trnsaltated to, ie it might be advertising something. We can't check and translate every post. Happy for you to post in your native tongue with a translation if it's difficult to explain. Hope this helps.
  17. Have moved this to our vcds/diagnostics. Bit more travelled than the non skoda projects bit. hopefully a knowledgeable member will be along shortly
  18. …and pick up the tab for demo time in models that are not what you’re ordering. like an enyaq 60loft when ordering a enyaq vrs. Erm… i still feel the end model will be super centres run by manufacturers. Where each model and most specs are available. you then order, online at home probably, a local service centre picks up the rest of the journey, pdi, delivery etc. Servicing then ends up locally, but sales and the forecourts disappear. i would and have driven a good few hours to a dealer that has the spec I want to see/try. Slightly guilty I’m not ordering from them. But willing to go and see. Maybe in reality that’s an hour max for most folk. tesla sort of doing it. Not that that is any great endorsement.
  19. *bump* now in better area for this model
  20. Thank you for all your contributions. Wish you well and of course the door is always open. We all have to come and go at times. Many of the foundling 200 are gone. The odd one here still... no idea how you get rid of me, answers on a postcard please. @Thefeliciahacker if you really want to leave, please do check out your account closure options: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/settings/account-security/ You can of course leave your account in place, just in case you want to return, to read, if not reply. side note, We like to have farewell posts, sudden disappearances can lead to mostly unjustified rumours. Some-days you don't open the site, a week later you have not returned, a new micro habit forms. It happens, has for 20+years, will do for as long as we last
  21. One near me that folk use regularly. They do seem terribly impatient when I walk down the middle. Oh no my laces have come undone. What’s that I dropped my hankie, excuse me a moment while I pick it up. I know the three cars on the lane. Oddly never seen a delivery van use it as a shortcut. As above posters, it’s a red ring sign, so contravening has some consequence. Like speed or one way. Sat nav’s generally won’t route you down one, so it’s a conscious choice to use, and bear consequences. if a local Bobby was talking to folk it’s obviously gotten to be enough of a rat run. I’d avoid using it anyway, less you’re on foot and have a hankie to drop.
  22. as @Gaz said or one of the many suspension creaks that emerge. Pop it into a local specialist, or your local dealer, will be greased bearings, broken bits or a 'feature' mine does it and I get the bearings etc re-greased, or something they do something it stops, til it comes back. However it's not just one direction, it's both, or over bumps etc.
  23. I have a few, I think, somewhere in the depths of an untidy garage. I’ll have a look tomorrow and drop you a pm
