  1. This is the problem with insurances and dealers regarding claims or warranty repairs!! we just don't know how good they are until we need them. How many times I have been told how good certain dealers / companys are but when asking " have you had cause to claim or anything" the answer was no. So how did they know ?
  2. I have the 2ltr 4x4 DSG and over 4 1/2 years I average 45mpg . On long trips I can get mid 50s and mid 30s tootling around town. Figures are corrected as the comp is around 3-4 miles optimistic . I'm happy with it.
  3. Had to have passenger door lock done on the Karoq yesterday, the drivers door lock was changed last March. Hopefully it's all ok now, the Kessy locking was becoming a real pain. Rainworth have been excellent all around, even collecting and returning my car from home which they also do at service times. Thankfully I do have the All in One service warranty plan.
  4. I'm very lucky, a service advisor lives in the village and leaves his car at my house, goes to work in mine gets the work done and brings it back after work. Works well for both of us.
  5. Check the kessy auto locking works, lots including myself have had problems resulting in new locks being fitted. I had new lock in March and problem has started again. To be fair the service advisor did say the other locks may go on the blink.!!
  6. Gomezz replied to Karock's topic in Skoda Karoq
I had similar a few weeks ago, low pressure drvers side rear. checked and 2 or 3 lb down. Checked at home and pumped it up, found a nail! Took it to be repaired and they found the nail hadn't penetrated the carcass so NO puncture! They didn't charge me ! It's been fine since. I do keep a regular check and reset the settings so just a Phantom puncture.😱
  7. I took the old heavy duty boot mat from my 64 reg Octavia Scout and it fitted pretty good in my Karoq ! just had to cut a small amount from the length so it may fit the Kodiak better?
  8. I got 28,000 miles out of my original tyres and changed them a bit early to have new ones for winter. That was last year, now have Falken on my 4x4 TDi Karoq.
  9. As far as I can see you are doing everything right apart from you must be moving while using the set button to set or alter the speed required. Same for the speed limiter, the button to activate this is under the stalk if you haven't yet found it!!
  10. Same for me , no intention of changing my 2018 4x4 2 ltr SEL DSG. Nothing else comes near to it for versatility for me, done 33,000 miles and no major issues and it would cost a lot to get a Hybrid version of anything else with little gain in economy taking into account the cost to change. Apart from that I do like the car.😀
  11. Feel for you,I had a senior moment 6 years ago and did this in my Octavia. New boot lid and 5 years to get insurance back down. I was having a really bad day having previously cut the phone wire while hedge cutting. Sometimes life goes to S--t.
  12. I had the same problem and it was repaired under the All in One servise Warrenty I have. It took a week to get the parts. 2018 model.
  13. I have had 4 DSG car's, Octavia estates and now the Karoq, all have been 2ltr TDi with 4 wheel drive, No problems with any and the DSG is quick to shift and unlike a French auto I had I can rely on it to get away and feel confident at roundabouts. I and the wife don't want any other kind of box. The flex seating is worth the extra, turns the car into a van!!
  14. Coast road Apollo Bay or Jamieson , nice drives 50 odd years ago.😀
  15. Press the scroll button. or the flat button to the right of it. Forget how I do it I just do it!!
  16. It appears to be a known problem to dealers, I had my drivers door lock replaced in April on my 18 reg but I have the All in One service warranty package. Ask the dealer about it being done if they do the servicing, may do it as a good will gesture?
  17. DSG service on this model is 80,000 miles ! Confirmed by Skoda and my dealer. I have the same year model with 30,000 miles on it, only problem has been door lock on drivers door which was replaced under " All in One " warranty in April. I average 45 mpg over the year, can be 38 around suburbs and upto 54 on longer M way runs. This is corrected mpg not computer display. Overall I am very happy with the car and will keep it for a good while.
  18. I have the 4x4 DSG 2ltr Diesel and get 45mpg over the year, winter and local I would be lucky to get 40. I would take a big pinch of salt with the official and around 40 mpg for the 1500 petrol.
  19. I have a similar car,SEL 2018 model and last year the dealer at service time spoted the battery was faulty ( I had not noticed a problem ) and replaced it under warranty. Worth asking about it?
  20. I have the same car, same year with around 30,000 miles. I contacted Skoda direct after being miss informed it was a sealed for life box. I was told it is not a sealed for life but needs a oil change at 80,000 miles. I saw the service tec at my dealer, and showed him the text from Skoda and he confirmed it is due at 80,000, That is good enough for me. I was going to have the change done early due to the Cam belt and water pump needing to be done next year and wanted to spread the cost. I do have the All in One service plan with warranty as a safeguard ?
  21. I have had the same problem and the fault is well known of, my lock was changed under the Skoda All in One service warranty package. It may be worth your while talking to your dealer seeing as the problem is a known fault. Shuttlebasher, the dealer should have sorted this during the service really !!
  22. Had a new windscreen in my SEL Karoq a couple of weeks ago and all was fine after, they calibrate it. It was done by Auto Windscreens
  23. I had the same problem with the locks on my 18 reg Karoq but fortunately I had taken out the All in One service and warranty plan so the lock was done under warrenty. It's proving to to be a good decision up to yet.
  24. Be thankful you don't have a Yeti ! don't want one of then crappin on yer roof.😆
  25. At it's 3 year service the dealer noticed that my battery was faulty and replaced it under warranty I hadn't had or noticed a problem with it so happy with the dealer for doing it. Probably one of the faulty batch.,
