Yeah I forgot about that. I'm on Flat Fives ET45.
-
It should be 225-40-18. At least I am driving those and no problem with rubbing.

As you all know, that in the boot there is one little bulb that needs to light all the luggage compartment. But "somehow" it doesn't do the job, when you need to get the spare wheel or something else from the lower compartment. I realized that it's good idea to install some LED lightning strips and take the power from the same original light wires. Then I discovered that the original light dims itself after 1 minute from 12v to 6v and still it's kind of dark. Why is that and is it possible to reprogram it with VAG-COM? In the owners manual there says that it should dim or turn off the light after one hour.

And be sure to put the cover back on correctly. There are 2 "carriers" under the steering, where the cover needs to go in. If not, you will get vibrating noise when driving. Been there, had that

Puddle lights will go out even without the water ingress. They just collect water and the micro schema will rust away in the puddle lights. As it costs like 100€ for piece, I took mine out and changed the LED-s inside. It's quite hard to do, but possible. Just take the mirror cover off and measure with volt meter is there any current, when the door is open.

Browser replied to rajsta's topic in Skoda Superb Mk I (2001-2008)
http://www.auto-part...cUKS9LQUXakHw== And for exact part. skoda superb 2007 aircondition fan problems
Browser replied to qship's topic in Skoda Superb Mk I (2001-2008)
Sorry for so old bump, but is there any good how to change the fan? I have ATW engine and the fan is toast. Do I really need to put it in the service position and if so, then how? -
I'll try to make one. I have a SLR sitting in car, but don't have the sufficient memory to make the pictures
-
I did this. Took off the covers, boiled some water to boiling temperature, put the covers in the boiling water for 5 minutes. Brushed off the rubber covering and then polished with plastic paste. Looks great and even better. I have the beige interior.
-
If you broke the slip ring, then you will get different errors for ESP and ABS also.
-
Remove battery very quickly. One hole is there. In the hole is rubber mounting. Remove it and threw it in the garbage. Other one is under the brake booster. Do the same as to the first one.
-
Yes there should be. Look under the cover of the hood cowl (where the battery is).

I got 18" Audi flat fives and on them are 225/40/18 tires. What is the correct pressure for these, because I don't want to worn off any more center of my tire

front passenger door problems
Browser replied to jordanc712's topic in Skoda Superb Mk I (2001-2008)
+1. Check the joints from the door lock mechanism. Had a friend, that had exactly the same problem. Problem was in microswitch, that had been separated. -
Cheap vag-com cable from ebay? Should fit both.

front o/s spring skoda superb (04)
Browser replied to justated's topic in Skoda Superb Mk I (2001-2008)
Yes, it's necessary, because the other old spring is worn like broke one and will probably brake also or will make your car lower from one side. -
Yep, Passat interior will fit. At least from 2002 Passat. 2 months ago I did the swap to Passat beige leather seats, with alcantra in the middle. The main issue was to find front seats with side airbags. Other than that a plug and play installation. I had to take seatbelt clip from the old seats, because these had sensor for the seatbelt warning light. The plugs are exactly the same for the seat heaters and airbags. Only these Passat seats didn't have rear foot light, so I put there some led strip to replace it. Aah and I remember, that you need to releather the superb rear seat side cushions, because these are different due the Superb being longer than Passat. This will apply only on my experience from the 2002 Passat interior. Of course there could be changes in this, but first you need to do some home study and just visit some junkyards.

Ok. Will try that. Thanks.

Little bump to thread. Does somebody know, if it's possible to remove the antenna from the holder? It just unscrews and folds against rear window but doesn't come apart. I want to change the antenna, as somebody broke the upper part of mine.
-
Probably a broken thermistor wire. It was the same on mine. You have to take the seat out of the car and dismantle it so you can get the bottom. Then you need to remove the clothing from back and there's possibly a broken wire to thermistor. Just weld it back together, make same padding that you wont break it again and put back together. Of course there could be something other, but it was the case for me.

Front seat headrests stoppers. How to remove?
Browser replied to Browser's topic in Skoda Superb Mk I (2001-2008)
Ok. So I think it's better to just try to plunge the foam between there without removing it. Thanks. -
As I put in VW Passat leather seats, I got an headrest rattle. The location of the rattle is in the stoppers or clips. I think that I can fix it by just putting some foam around the headrest stopper, but I couldn't figure out, how to take these off. Skoda had exactly same clips. I can see in to the hole, that there are two cuttings that run down, where the headrest stick goes. In the picture nr 9 or 10. http://www.jimellisvwparts.com/images/parts/VW/fullsize/221881500.jpg
