  1. me, i designed them for the fabia i cant find a pic on my photobucket or laptop. i'll upload one tomorrow at work, i used to sell them on ebay but i havent had anything on there for a few months and the fabia one wasnt a huge seller although i dont think anyone else has done one.
  2. pity one of the mechanics who drives a fabia is a **** :p
  3. going by the picture bulbs are as follows far left: indicator middle top: dipped beam middle bottom: sidelight (small capless bulb) far right: main beam
  4. you might still struggle with a stick-on plate if its the correct size. i made mine import spec so it fitted better and yes, i know its not legal but it's legible and if the police say anything then i'll let them take me to court again lol
  5. nice car but given its not a vrs makes it really pricey, not sure how old it is but must be a few years old now.
  6. went up to inverness yesterday for a drive to see culloden battlefield. made me remember this thread lol i'm up for a drive but stretching it over 4 days is too much for me, its hard enough trying to get one day off a week.
  7. dont need to upgrade anything man, they will be fine as is. you may want shorter droplinks if going as low as me although i dont recommend that low. mines has been raised slightly, coilovers are still all the way down with the helper springs put back in.
  8. been a while since i seen that car! you should buy mine :p
  9. i say do it! i've had mine for 2 and a half years and still love it. problems i've had with mine in that time are: heaters - no.1 setting doesnt work, i've yet to fix it. sumps - i've put a hole in 2 due to being so low (-70mm-ish) although i have raised it a little now. thats basically it. its needed new bushes and rear brakes but thats general wear and tear. oh and they can chew tyres if driven hard! bad points i would say about the car are the seats are an absolute nightmare to keep clean, handling isnt the best as standard and neither are the brakes. good points: it has plenty of poke, even as standard. good mpg even if driven a little hard and theres also plenty you can do to it if you choose to. i was also one of those people who bought it with it in my head it was not getting modified LOL (that didnt last long).
  10. most i've ran on 0 is probably between 5-10 miles, i only panic if i have no idea where the local fuel station is. as for running so low you drag crap into the system, as stated the fuel feed has to be at the bottom or you'd run out while still having fuel in there. one answer could be any crap that floats at the top of the fuel, we all hate floaters
  11. i had no choice but to remove mine, as you can see in the picture there is no clearance at all with it fitted.
  12. could the standard vrs bumper not be 'tailored' to fit or chopped and matched into an estate bumper? *i'm not sure how the estate bumper looks*
  13. they always pull to the left, mines is no different.
  14. well i made my choice this morning and opted for the palm pre. hoping its a good phone, i just dont think i could live with a blackberry.
  15. i only have the choices above to pick from as the company say those match the spec of my phone. kind of annoyed i dont have the choice of another windows mobile device. i like the idea of the palm pre as its a bit like the x1 with the keyboard and touch screen but not keen on the looks and never had a chance to try one out so see if i like the interface. most likely going to go with the Blackberry Bold 9000. seems to be the better choice overall i think,
  16. as far as emails go i dont send a lot from my phone, or in general but its a good option to have and my current phone is capable of doing so. i'm not really keen on any of these phones to be honest, i like my touch screen but not sure about the palm pre. starting to sway toward the Bold although the camera on the curve seems a lot better. :S
  17. right short story is that my beloved Xperia X1 is damaged, most likely repairable but i've been offered a choice of replacement phones since mines is now discontinued. these choices are: Blackberry Curve 8900 Blackberry Bold 9000 Palm Pre now i've never had a blackberry but i know they are decent phones, cant really tell what the real differences are between the phones. and palm pre... never even seen one of those i dont think. anyone know much about these phones? basically i use my phone for texting, calling, taking notes, taking pictures, surfing online and sending emails so a smart phone is a must. i'm trying to decide (tonight) which of the above 3 is the best or at the very least worth the most as in a few weeks i'm due for an upgrade so if i dont like it its going on ebay once i get my HTC HD2 advice..
  18. to remove the old one you have to drop the roof lining at the back so you can access the bolt that holds on the aerial base. quite tricky but not overly hard. i think its a 22mm bolt. p.s. that estate car is amazing.
  19. when i went the porsche wheels route i found it hard to get good advice. i'm running 16 x 8 on the rear with 25mm adaptors and 16 x 6 on the front with 20mm adaptors using the standard 205/45 tyre size. mines is also VERY low, you will not get away with any wider tyres or you will destroy your rear arches and mine rub the front arch liners when i hit slight bumps. if going to 18's you will have to be extremely wary of how low you go compared with tyre widths. i remember seeing a car on here with 18" porsche twists, it was fairly low too but i dont know what tyre size he used or adaptor widths.
  20. i forgot about those. i really should get one, they get great reviews on here. this one seems well priced too: http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=8060&xSec=289
