  1. that's pretty much what's needed.....something like 5 torx screws from each side of under tray and then front of tray pulled back to give access. Gets easier with practise
  2. Seen the plug attached in about 5 mins for the turbo sensor..... it took longer to find the cordless screw driver The box makes a big difference compared to the standard 110 diesel with much more go when overtaking etc
  3. Think the plug is so you can remove the box leaving the cables in place and the car will still run as normal
  4. Second that here Seen one fitted and can say they do make a fair difference
  5. I run a smart roadster for over 4 years without any problems from leaks etc and it was a great wee car Was also remapped pretty much from day one. Great handling little cars and would defo recommend one if you can find a good one.
  6. thanks.......17" spitzburg wheels powder coated black
  7. Here's a quick pic of mine after a good wash
  8. We got one free with the car. The wife told the salesman that there was no deal unless one was thrown in
  9. got my dash cam wired up using the bits listed below and have run the cable the same as jonceebee http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009A8AOA4/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00DY2MGGW/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  10. Got one on my yeti so they are filtering slowly down into some models
  11. Has he had the prices from you yet? Might not be so keen to stump up once he knows the price as we found out earlier in the year when our fabia was bumped.........started wanting to fit second hand doors from ebay
  12. 1st owner march 2011 cave 11 plate - engine replaced at 21000 miles and very little oil use over two years (traded against new yeti sept 2013)
  13. Just replaced one of those westfalia wheel stands after a year as the plastic feet snapped off Bought an all metal one from amazon which is much sturdier and can be wheeled out to the car making it a bit easier
  14. what about a used yeti George? covers all your needs perfectly.
  15. We replaced our fabia vrs with a yeti in September after a few engine problems and haven't looked back since.
  16. Had much the same here with a young guy who let his door go in high winds earlier this year and damaged a door badly on our fabia. He wanted to pay but when the quote came in kept coming back with fitting second hand doors from eBay. Ended up costing his insurance a small fortune as they added hire car costs etc to the repair costs
  17. get mine through the wifes work.......25ltrs for £12 Isnt quantum but its fine with fan jets and its concentrated so can mix as I like
  18. Ordered tyres and wheels from Mytyres in the last couple of weeks and received them a couple of days after ordering them. The tyres were this years stock too
  19. Got mine ready here and wouldn't be without a set now. Even managed to sell my winter steelies and tyres from the fabia locally through gumtree which helped with the costs for the new set
  20. I've just ordered a set of 16" steelies fitted with nankang sv2 snow tyres for the yeti. We previously ran our fabia vrs for two winters with the same tyres and the wife preferred them to the summer continentals for grip/feel.
  21. Had three Smart cars here in the past. The roadster was a brilliant little car and always made you smile when driving it. The forfour brabus was great in a straight line but not so great round corners as the suspension was far to hard and it drank petrol like nothing else. The brabus fortwo was fine when it wasn't needing warranty work or getting blown about by the wind and the dire service received by merc put us off them for life. Was also dire in the snow.
  22. Here's a quick pic of mine after a good clean and wax
