  1. I think??? (but could be wrong) that if you then put the key in the ignition and turn it on, the alarm will go off, so long as the key has the immobiliser chip. Guess it may differ on different cars also, maybe?
  2. @Scot5 Did your neighbours extension lead have a trip switch on it then???
  3. I was gonna say there may be a sticker on the battery to remove, but as you've tested the battery already.................
  4. Aah, facelift, different to mine....................someone will be able to advise
  5. So, open the handle and slide / prise the covers away from the fitting (directly outwards, away from the bodywork). Good photo's @ashfan
  6. Cannot see any pics bud........
  7. Does your temp gauge behave normally, or does this show overheating??? Do you have coolant in the system and is it to required level???
  8. @YellowDog Swap the drivers one with the passenger one, and fit them back to front............. I do wonder if it is to do with a persons build..........ie, if you have a big back, this will naturally sit you further forward in the seat, meaning that your head is also naturally further forward so the head restraint won't bother a person

'I'm Back'...........Who do you think you are, Arnie, Lol. Welcome back Phil. For some reason I remembered you just the other day whilst reading a thread iirc.............amongst other missed Briskodians...... Probably remembering your sensible advice / replies. I had a 9-3 and it was great, apart from being very sluggish before the turbo kicked in. It was only one year old though........most comfortable car iv'e ever owned. I'm sure you'll update once you get the car. Good luck.
  10. I'm assuming the car wasn't sold through the dealership????????? If the seller (Director???) works there and you only purchased the car locally recently, maybe try contacting him and asking him if he can shed any light on the issue........
  11. Hi and welcome. A bit more information will help us forum members help you. Engine type and code would be good. As for part number, I'm not sure but someone will be able to advise, I'm sure......
  12. @WCKD @langers2k I had a real problem with the bi-xenon's in my Audi............you may have seen the posts The actuator / solenoid wiring had come slightly loose from the very small pcb, probably due to the internal movement, making the high beam flap temperamental. I did manage to mend it but had to do it a few times as it was very difficult working through the hole for the bulb, even after removing the silver / ally bulb holder. It was the little blue plug that was lifting off the tiny pcb that was causing the issue, and this failed the mot on one occasion even though the lighting worked fine as only one bulb. The extra difficulty was that the bumper has to be removed on the Audi to remove the headlight..............real pain in the backside, but a lovely car. Personally, I wouldn't go for bi (or adaptive) xenons given the choice. If I couldn't have mended it for the mot it would have been circa £1000 for a replacement headlight probably another grand for fitting..........
  13. If your car has been sat doing nothing during Covid, the battery may behave correctly once nicely recharged, ie long run or charged directly with a smart charger......... Reading other threads though, you should be ok diy if you do need a new one, using same battery without coding. I'm no expert on this though. I agree with what Wino says.........
  14. Weird........cos pretty much the same battery, except the dimensions.
  15. A bit of double glazing window seal may jam in there nicely if you cannot re-stick the original, mac.
  16. Mine went up by nearly £40 in 2016 / 17 Down about a tenner 2017 / 18 Down about another tenner 2018 / 19, but because I forgot to cancel and it auto renewed. I overpaid by £28, but still saved a tenner from previous year. 2019 / 20 my (cancelled) auto renew price was £263 but same company on Conf.com cost me £192. This years, same company again, up by just four quid...........I think this was the auto renew price iirc, so I did not bother cancelling.
  17. When you say 'no longer opens the tailgate', do you mean 'no longer unlocks' the tailgate??? Cos all else you mention is normal. How old is the car???? I will have to check mine but mostly use fob boot button long press anyway.
