There is an OEM one on ebay for around 32 quid Please keep me posted how you do with your idea -
My radio, a standard unit, gets good reception on FM, but nowt but static on AM My mechanic suggested I try one of those cheapie interior aerials off ebay, to see if that would fix the problem.I have a 2003 tdi elegance What do people think of this suggestion ?

Two ball joints and an off side brake cable, and the mot is passed, £150 all together, including the ticket - back of the net!

Get a cheap one that fits; always done this on numerous diesels, never had any bother

That's a real shame, just checked the distance on route planner, it's 520 odd miles return trip, yikes ! Cost a fortune in fuel ! -

I have sympathy with the OP ,but it always amazes me when people buy cars for a lot of money, indeed thousands of pounds, and then mention how cheap the tax is ! In this case it was actually the deciding factor ! -

I have gone from an old Pug 406 to a 2003 Octy, and the ride is far too firm for me; I am really not a happy pixie. I drive quite slowly, epecially around corners, and do not need a firm ride.
