  1. Have to say I agree with everything here. The parcel shelf thing is just funny after a while. Travelling with my dogs in the boot I have it up anyway so I don't mind that it "locks" in position, and at least there's the little notch allowing you to see behind you anyway. Surprised you didn't mention the passenger leccy window thing. Maybe you're like me and never open the windows under any condition except when using pay on entry ticket machines.
  2. Same as my missus' Fiat 500 as I recall.
  3. MTEC DRLs - lasted about 3 months... looked good though.
  4. Looking carefully at those pictures of the Monte - and the dash interior picture is a photo of the Sport model complete with "old-hat" round steering wheel and "sport" logo on the passenger side.
  5. They do a closeup at one point of the information board next to the car, and it says on there this is a "G-Tec" model. The title of the video is G-Tec also. Would I be right in guessing that the sport got offered in European markets with the 75ps engine (AKA green-tech). I'll bet that the UK model will have the same options as the outgoing Sport. Just my hunch.
  6. This vid shows everything quite well. Looks like the steering wheel boss gets the gloss treatment too:
  7. I'd doubt that. In my experience the biggest moaners are the ones who buy the cheaper motors. The truth is probably a bit of both.
  8. That is an absolutely fantastic read - nice one to your friend Gaz and his success at taking on this evil paper and it's sleazy website.
  9. Decisions... It does look good.
  10. Which Salesperson was it? David really looked after me, and Andrea before that.
  11. Selling to a dealer and I doubt they'd notice the debadging.
  12. Yeah it certainly looks gloss in those pics. The front splitter looks gloss too, or maybe just the powerful lighting.
  13. Is it definitely gloss black? - the pictures I've seen (everything in this thread) and it looks like the S one to me.
  14. Did my guide come in handy. They're no more or less slippy than normal covers in my experience.
  15. Not sure if you've said elsewhere Damo, but what are you moving on to??? A Rapid Monte Carlo would be my next purchase, but not quite ready yet...
  16. Not sure where you are, but I know a quality guy near Melton Mowbray who does a fantastic job at a good price. PM if interested.
  17. Going back to the OP's comments - I'm not sure if I believe it. I think some people are losing perspective and putting too much emotion into this when the reality is more likely to be a purely ruthlessly, business-minded decision. All this "VW hate it when..." just seems naïve to my mind, especially when you consider the tiny portion of global sales that the UK Citigo/Up! market is for the worldwide behemoth of VAG.
  18. Yeah sports pedals fo sho! Honest Damo has a set for sale I believe...
  19. Ooh is Andrea back there again. She sold me my Fabia 2 years ago but wasn't around when I bought the Citigo.
  20. Hi Dommer - welcome to Briskoda. I know exactly what you're getting at. It quite clearly states on pacge six of the radio manual: "The device allows analogue radio reception of FM and AM frequency ranges as well as DAB digital radio reception. Six memory slots are available in each of the DA1/DA2, FM1/FM2 and AM1/AM2 ranges." This would simply appear to be a mistake of some sort.
  21. I went from a Fabia Mk II vRS to a Citigo, and I find the Citigo to be far more fun behind the wheel. You have to work harder to maintain built-up speed, but once up there the Citigo handles with go-kart agility. I wouldn't go back.
  22. Jeez Damo - 5.50am!!! What hours does Colin force you to keep when patrolling these forums??
  23. Great stuff. You've obviously made a good choice, and you will remember your first car for the rest of your life.
