  1. The fact many have panic purchased means they will not have need to refill for a while In this time the petrol stations have had new deliveries to re stock before any strike action So no problemo Everyones tank is full, as is the petrol stations Lurv panic buyers Now if they had NOT panic purchased then cars would be empty, petrol stations would have run out and no tanker to refill equals tanker drivers bargaining power National
  2. Martyn, let it go, the cost of the equipment is nothing to the constant stress you are putting yourself through The money you have saved yourself over the past year alone is more than a replacement box Someone posted "Have you thought he may need you and have you helped him" No he does not or he would have replied and welcomed your meeting again Let it go and live YOUR life not his, as for the missing gap in your collection get yourself a knacked box of ebay, even the cost of your original and a knacked one to complete your collection is LESS than the stress you are giving yourself Jezzo even if you bought your sister a brand knew thingy, it would cost less than the stress and following years support to your supposed friend Sorry I do not know you personally, but I have been there done that and got the T-Shirt as everyone says, many years ago, and YES at the time it was a desperate hard decission, You know what, I still sort of know his life, but I could not give a damn neither obviously does he It is hard but DO IT for yourself mate National
  3. Eventually there will be a sign errected stating for lease, other than that I do not know who you would approach Maybe call Little Chef themselves and as for the estates manager National
  4. Mostly all answered on here If there is disability then the Council will provide in yellow paint a disabled bay at the front of your home, so you have an unused space as you use the drive (THE DISABLED BAY IS AWAY FROM THE DRIVE ENTRANCE) Phone the Police, they will respond and fine the driver , and second offence they will remove the car which the owner then has to pay a lot of money to retrieve Conclusion you will not only have a free drive but also a reserved space for disabled parking infront of your home Personally I am happy with a free drive entrance, but IF I really wished to be nasty in our cul de sac, then I could have the disabled bay at the front of our house Actually rather than have the disabled restriction applied, I PAID for a dropped kerb and a mono bloc drive added National
  5. It starts when you go start it Is she Pressing the accelorator before turning the ignition or something ? National
  6. It appears most AUDI, MERC,BMW and RANGE ROVERS, come with a free BLUEBADGE, speak to your dealer Unless a wheelchair/crutch/Zimmer user, then why the need for close to store parking, can not manage 100 yards across the car park, but can manage two hours walking around the shopping mall National
  7. It is quite amazing what young women see in OLD men Nothing to do with the Millions of pounds in the bank at all I go down to our pensioners dominoe hut everyday, and It is amazing how many young women are knocking on the door wanting a date with us NOT I even park my Fabia VRS se outside, cool and casually leaving my pension book on the seat, but nothing ,:-( National
  8. Do NOT make an new email account, EMAILS are NOT annonymous (I could explain how to read the headers but you do not need to know so will save time) If you do want to email, go to an internet cafe or library and send her an email from there with a copy attached of his advert, that would be annonymous National
  9. As it would be one of many youtube condom on head vids, there is no point other than upsetting YOUR FRIEND, IE:- You are not showing anything new or funny to the world National
  10. The 345 must be quoting for the cambelt change aswell Advise them this has been done and you just want the full service about !89 from a good independent National (happy New Year)
  11. Whilst working as a Field Service Engineer, one of thirty, MANY had tickets for average speed breaking, even the smart ones who thought changing lanes part way through would do the deal The problem is doing 300/400 miles a day, you could end up after a week having four infringements and thus Banned, loss of employment and fines What I do find very unfair, is the penalties dependant on where you live Live in one area, you get the points you are banned and lose your livelyhood, your home and usually as a result your family all for three points Whilst in another area the similar person gets to pay a fine and take a speed knowledge course SO one area £60 fine another area £250k fine National

  13. In the Pub I was Offered eight legs of venison for £60 is that too dear :-) National
  14. The real panic in the reduction was with the SUPPLIERS, for as in everything what they sell to you is at a great profit Your panels costing £15k actually cost the company £5k. and as most are taken on a 20 year (mortgage) all the interest you pay too Then there are the TWO TYPES 1. You buy the panels and fitting off the supplier,£15k they have made their good profit and you get free electicity and about £600 a year back from the Gov 2. FREE They supply the panels £5k, You get free electricity and they get the £600 a year back from the Gov (£600 a year interest for life for a £5k investment is better than any bank interest for those with the capital to put in) Meanwhile, those who could not afford the £15k upfront or an additional 20 year loan are stuffed and subsidise those who can Can anyone guess who the Directors of the two major installers are ? :-) Who's brother in law is that ? All back on now as the high court judge Brother in Law of x Has stated it must be enforced as it was made law intitially, Hey ho the rich get richer The Gov acted too soon to cancel it before all their pals had it installed Hey Ho National
  15. Do not do any repairs yet Just wait a couple of months until it is hit again in exactly the same place, and get it done on their insurance National
  16. The only problem with eat out, whilst it is great all done for you and no clearing away Is the clearing away, get out NOW we have the next sitting, or last sitting the staff want to go home for Christmas too so GO The best bit about Crimbo dinner is the lazing about and crack afterwards, so would be better if you do not want to bother with all the cooking and cleaning is to get a take away delivered Or not bother at all and let some other poor sod have Crimbo at home with his/her family Naftional
  17. It sounds pretty expensive, can be had much much cheaper elsewhere You mention Finacial agreement, so I am not sure if you are tied to that garage with set services and amounts, then either pay it off and keep the car, or just get a new car and continue the agreement ? My 40k service, cambelt change, with all the tensioners, "metal" impeller water pump, fluids and filters was £345 from a well know sponsor of this site So if you are not tied to servicing with your Finacial agreement GO ELSWHERE NOW National
  18. Pleased it worked out for you Now any chance of a couple of tickets for the Monte Carlo one, not bog stantard I want to visit the pits :-) National
  19. When on my first three year commision at sea, I bought the Omega seamaster, the serial number is five before the five NASA omega seamaster Moon walk watches, I wore it daily, until reaching HongKong, and bought a Gold Rolex datejust, which I then wore daily, Later I just wear the Rolex daily and the Seamaster occasionally After forty years and the same experience as an earlier poster, After air travel abroad on holiday, then swimming in the sea the Rolex seal leaked £1200 for a complete overhaul (more expensive as they had to source parts due to age) but it is a cracking watch once more as new I intend leaving them to my daughters one each, both equal value one due to actual watch and other to the history of it (moon walk watch) The moon watch was lost for six weeks and very lucky to ever find it again I had an alcoholic incident April 1969 in Cyprus when taking a short cut through a car park I fell six feet down a storm drain, hospital job, and back to ship which then sailed I had lost my watch in the fall down the drain, did not notice until recovering in hosp The ship sailed with me away, but we were called back to Cyprus six weeks later, I went to the storm drain and there she was gleaming in the daylight phew At the time the to me expensive watch was just a watch it did not have its Moon walk AUTHENTICATION at that time as it had not happened National
  20. Egg factories, check each laid egg, weight, then light spectrum, double yokers are sold seperatley at a premium I buy trays of 24 double yokers (they are very cheap from the factory as opposed to buying ordinary eggs from the supermarket) I egg spect it is the suppliers of the eggs not using the light spectrum, or the guys on the night shift not bothering National
  21. When the bonnet releases You SHOULD have a lever pops out of the front grill, (top left) which you pull forward to release the catch Unless it is stuck, you can see it and try to pull it forward with a screwdriver or long nose pliers National
  22. Bright Student studying for a degree I want a return ticket Duh I will buy two singles to Edinburgh please, then use one to go the other way ? OMG he could be a company manger one day Now the good upstanding FIREMAN who did us all a good turn, chucking this piece of $h!! off could have his career in tatters The student and his Dad are on the money trail now (most fathers would hide their head in shame and belt the child) The guy who took the video that has gone viral is making a nice earner Unfortuanately this is going to end with the FIREMAN (BIG MAN) In court on an assault charge, Which legally it is, The 200 grateful passengers who got home reasonably on time will not pay a penny towards big mans costs and fine, and can do nothing to help his career in the Brigade Morally the big man did good, and as a traveller on the Matelot express, I would have done the same Only I truly believe the worst outcome will happen :-( A victory for the scum and his Dad The scums story is so crap it is unbeliveable A diabetic who states he had not "eaten all day" A student studying for a degree thinks it is fine to buy two cheap singles to the same destination rather than a return because it would be dearer, and even try using them Use foul abusive languge infront of young families (children) a fine upstanding citizen he will be, just the sort of Graduate we require National
  23. The contract Verbal OR Signed, is especially to protect against what you are doing The company takes on a young person and trains them up fully, usually three years then a two year tie, to actually gain some income from the intial two years where the young person learned the trade Then as soon as they felt qualified they up sticks to someone who has spent NOTHING training people but likes the skills they bring There will be a get out leave early clause to reclaim the cost back wether paid for in full or part paid by Gov aid You say it is a dream job, then take it, bite the bullet, and pay your trainer back what you are due Be aware though that your NEW employer, may not appreciate, the fact that you are willing to walk out, at the drop of a hat, and in reality until your five years is up, You are not really FULLY QUALIFIED Just a very good SEMI SKILLED tech Depends really on wether or not you are a Fully Skilled ARTICLED APPRENTICE or Just a trained technician ? National
  24. If you mean you can put it in first gear and release the clutch the car will creep along all by itself, Then all that is needed is to reduce the idle revs to about 10K, the skoda diesel lump is great for NOT Stalling It is quiet handy sitting in traffic moving slowly, National
  25. Running a mapped VRS on the wrong oil,, not even the right oil for the VRS itself I hope the damage is not already done, but it sounds like it has started :-( National
