broken load cover stop
@Catwoman I did this repair on my MkII Fabia. If you follow Alex's guide in his blog it's a doddle. (There was a printable version but I can no longer find that so scroll down his blog to March 14th 2014) https://aalopes.com/blog/ The load cover also prevents prying eyes looking what you've got in the boot so worth the time and effort IMO (about 30 - 45 minutes). And always remember to push the rear down to retract it. It's instinctive to pull it I know but I think this is what causes the catches to detach. FWIW mine had also fallen down so I never had to order a new pair.

Is there a panel to cover this area in the boot?
Thanks, makes sense. As I said, it's been a while since I saw the boot of a Felicia (2009). I was weighing up a Felicia but then a very good and cheap MkI Fabia caught my eye. @Papez I had a MkI 1998 Seat Toledo. 64bhp diesel. Slow as hell but reliable.

I was pretty sure there is a panel - it's been a while since I looked in the boot of a Felly. Also logically, why wouldn't they cover the rest of the cargo area and there's what appears to be holes on the upper edge for trim clips and in your pic, there appears to be a left over trim clip, top left corner of your yellow line. You've also a vertical piece missing on the right of the pic.

Mirror heating
In my 2014 Rapid it says on until I turn it off. Ditto all my previous Skodas. Personally I just leave it on and it's never been a problem. It also helps to clear spray from the mirrors in wet conditions.

I'm a Skoda Rapid 1.6TDi owner in Germany. August 2022 I enquired about the cam belt change interval at the Skoda dealership I use. The reply was that mine's not due until 2030 (the guy showed me this on his screen). The production date of my car was 4th January 2015 MY2015 so there's the fifteen years interval. Also told that the figure was 210,000kms (130,488 miles) /whichever comes sooner. This applies to the 1.4TDi and the 1.6TDi.- Hello from 'The Emerald Isle'
Top o' the mornin' to ye @Dubal and other cliche's! Welcome to Briskoda 👋 Those Superb estates are mahoosive inside especially the boot area. In my Rapid I can get three standard size beer crates but I believe you can get six in the back of a Superb. Very comfortable and well equipped as well. Do they still give you a brolly in the passenger door/s? All the best and hope you find the site informative and the Social sections entertaining and engaging.- Hello all people

Not entirely sure. I had a thought that that's what they are but I was watching Flipping Bangers earlier and as luck would have it, they were doing a cam belt on a Citroën XM (a cheap future classic IMO) and Gus used a pin to lock a lower pulley (crank pulley I believe it was) directly into the engine block. Makes sense to lock the crank and the cam. It was on U and Yesterday channel at 20:00 GMT- Pete's Rescue Roomster
Are they not locking pins, Pete?- After 4 years of ownership, my PHEV goes back to Peugeot. My thoughts.
