I found HIDs were the best and cheapest option but that may have now changed.

Welcome. There's a decent chunk of MkII stuff in that forum. Did yours come with halogen headlights in projector housings or were you lucky?

More info added to my post. No idea what the previous owner was up to.

It's normal, they don't function if you have fog lights which function as DRLs IIRC. They left the factory with blue W5W bulbs. @Evolution13 might have a fuller answer? The above is from my Fabia Scout with fogs and the blue bulbs don't work as DRLs as it has LES fog lights. Below is my old MkII which didn't have fog lights but the blue W5W bulbs were the DRLs.

Cheers for the reply, Kenny. I did some digging and looked at the owners manual and I think I found the answer since posting.... This is from the 2026/3 manual - it's also in the 2026/8 manual. I'm guessing the 'Tilt adjustment' option adjusts the seat base angle?

Bring back the intuitive knobs, dials and buttons for things like that. Grinds my gears you need to use what's basically an app to turn the AC on.

Probably needs a scan to see if any fault codes have been logged. Could be something to do with the ABS/ traction control system though.

@mdfabia1969 There was a popular (NON Quattro) Audi TT caliper and carrier upgrade for the MkI Fabia back in the day which used 312mm discs so I'd measure your disc diameter in the first instance. IIRC 310mm discs were also used.
