  1. In the picture it looks like theres no gap I would get it changed or put back in and hope it blows while still in warrenty
  2. As stated In a diesel dont think its such a must do but hell it aint gonna harm anything
  3. I think pollen and air filter get done on 2nd service. Plugs being advised by guys on here @ 30k if not sooner. With the Brake flud guys are getting changed after 3rd service and i dont think its covered by service plan. Have a look at the hand book and see whats been changed and what hasn't on previous services. Dsg is classed as a sealed for life unit and also is a dry clutch system, these units are pretty rock solid dont know if they have fulid to change. I think it will be fine to get awesome gti do the service aslong, aslong they use to skoda/vag oem parts, you will be covered by manuf warranty
  4. As stated by sharkrider, the pads last a long time. I'm currently sitting on 23k and pads are still fine and it hasnt been used gently. Dics are fine also but thats because its used nearly everyday
  5. If its already had breather and using over 1L every 620 miles then get an oil consumption test done and if it fails that could be new engine as the engine you have is the first type (CAVE)
  6. Check drl this happened to mine, after alot of rain it ended up rusting through a pin at the connection and had to get a new 1
  7. I would go ahead and say yes many people complain about not getting music playing from there phone when using cable. Even some people using usb drives have problems it all to do with how you have the file structure laid out. There a few posts about this now. Use search have a quick look at what people are currently listening to there music from and should give you a good idea on what you could be using. Me I have an ipod 160gb so no worries for now and its connected all the time
  8. Was the dashes not caused on some by the dealer changing service schedule from fixed to variable
  9. You could replace superchager but seen done on a car on a forgein tuning website but it was near on impossible to find info
  10. Have you managed to get the right vag cable, the mk2 fabia works off a hex type I think if I remember rightly
  11. If I was to have a new car again I would plasti dip (clear) the front bumper. The Roads are shocking where i live and the stone chips make me want to cry
  12. I think superskoda do a nice one for monte/fabia mk2
  13. Im sorry to laugh at your expense but I find it funny mate. Its something that would really really **** me off having the new skoda badges plastered over my car and not having the badges the same on the wheels I hope they sort it.
  14. i wouldnt bother mate as vag engines are designed to recir, i have a forge recirc, bit of a pain to fit. if you were to fit also fit an enclosed cold air feed as you can hear the dump valve so much more as the pressure is getting released back into the throttle body
  15. could be they cant tax it on a sunday so cant give you the car
  16. new about 9200-9500, with somekind of black multi spoke. also with about 2ks of extras
  17. yea thats right mate, cant have say an ipod/usb plugged in to mdi and try and play through the aux port.
  18. is it a vrs you have?? this was happening to a few people a while back maybe try a search. i cant help more then that as its only ever happened once on my vrs
  19. Did it end up needing new gearbox. I'm guessing a clutch with the list of having the comp clutch fitting
  20. whats with 100 mph exceed. cruise control?? seeing s7 reminds me of a topic on here a while back saying S (sports mode) wouldn't go in to 7th. and at 70/80 mph sounds like it wasnt being driven hard
  21. I use manual nearlly everyday i find the changing up and down when going up a small hill annoying. Only used S a handfull of times as it holds the gear far too long. looking at dyno graphs shows the best time to change. You would want to change at about 5200 (If i remember right) to keep in peak performance, so when it changes it drops back into begining of the peak of torque and bhp. At the end of the day if your booting it then i would go for M then manual shift if you want but it will change up for you anyway incase you miss the change (i.e entering corner and not able to let go of steering wheel to reach paddle shift or stick)
  22. a 1.2 w plate punto is 70 cheaper to insure then the vrs 23 6ncb, so cant wait for the quote on 7years £400ish
  23. What was insurance like? Im 24 and got renewal for £393
