Why must I work late!!

Love your tank Gregie! We want to get a bigger tank next and go marine but not for a few months

James I, apologies if it was advise rather than criticism but I didn't see it that way when you told me how controversial my fish was and that I should think of flushing him. How many of you have actually owned a parrot cichlid? He was very shy when we first put him in the tank, he's opened up a lot more now and is very calm and gentle. Even when I put the sunset platys in after he'd been in a few weeks he was fine. We all have our own opinions, I read the articles and spoke to the retailers and I'm happy to have him in the tank. Especially when you're having a bad day you look in the tank and think if he can be happy so can I

I am fully aware that Mr Smiley is a parrot cichlid and am fully aware of the controversy around his beginnings however he is absolutely fine around my other fish. All cichlids are aggresive as are some other fish and every aquatic owner knows that putting any fish in a tank is a risk in one way or another. I don't appreciate being told to flush a pet :/

Or so I thought until we got a tropical tank! Much more interesting and fun than goldfish! Admittedly, I haven't thought of very imaginative names... Meet "Mr Smiley" ... Other names include (but not limited to!) Bluey, Reddy, Phetfish (as it swims round like a lunatic constantly) & Mr Shrimp Anyone else keep fish?

I meant not like an abandoned one... one that's still used... lol Oh f*ck off I'm naturally blonde...

What that biker did was reckless and stupid, no question about it. As mentioned earlier he could have just given the car driver the bird and ridden away safe and sound if he was so annoyed about something. If he was just being a pleb for no reason, serves him right. I don't believe the car did anything to **** him off as at no point did I see the camera dip (which would suggest any braking to annoy the biker) or swerving or anything. Just seems he was in the outside lane longer than the biker liked and then it all unfolded, but none of us were there and this is all speculation and we will probably never know how it ACTUALLY came to be. With regards to the biker himself braking in front of the car, I know plenty of car drivers who are ALSO guilty of such actions. I've had it happen to me plenty of times. I've had the flashing and up my arse idiot whilst I overtake a lorry at the speed limit on a motorway (a couple of weeks ago on the way to an interview actually! :wonder: ) I've also been on 2 wheels and encountered plenty of idiotic manoeuvres, 1 being an impatient white van man who overtook me on a 30 road then swerved back in to avoid on coming traffic and nearly took my front wheel off. (I was a bit annoyed he couldn't see me swearing as he had no back windows! ) Anyway, I find that shouting obscenities at anybody that has annoyed me on the road works MUCH better! For some reason I also like to clean up when I'm angry... much to the amusement of HWMBO when I get home *grumble car grumble doofus grumble meh... best go do the washing up!* must be the womanly instinct!
