    DRLs

According to the national Traffic Law in Finland the rear lights can be on with the DRL's. Skoda Finland has a process that all Skodas are coded that way. Rear lights were on in our Yeti 2012, Octavia 2015 and now Karoq 2019.
  2. No 4x2, but isn't the 2.0 TSI DSG 4x4 either available in UK?
  3. Our Karoq has these functions. And it has option to start the aux heater/ventilation. Have started the heater couple of times (when owned the car a week).
  4. my destination.skoda-auto.com uses mapdata from Here. This service is administrative tool for Columbus and Amundsen navigation systems Maybe all live data to carsystems come from there, too, because VAG is one of the owners since 2015. Because I have the aux heater, then the Connect Service is useful to start the heating/ventilation using the phone. The remote has very limited working distance. Only for that reason it is worth of paying.
  5. The latest version for MY19 is 2018/11. For Android mobile phones there is MySkoda application, where is a mobile version of the User Manual.
  6. In Finland the 2.0 diesel (2.0 TDI 150) with DSG gearbox are all 4x4 models.
  7. You don't tell the ET of the rims you have offered. If the ET is same as the original Karoq rims ET45, then you get using 225/50 tires more space to the arches (the diameter is 10mm smaller) and the tires are 5mm closer the suspension and stick our 5mm more. When speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 59.1mph (95.2km/h): 1.5% slower. http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp They fit, if the ET is right, but they don't look visually good. The car looks to have too small tires. As Sanqhar writes they are not approved by the manufacturer, if you have some driving problems with those, you might be on your own. The Skoda UK might refuse the warranty repair.
  8. The standard 17" Karoq rims are- Wheel dimensions: 7J x 17“ ET 45 For tyres: 215/55 R17 (4x2) 225/55 R17 (4x4)
  9. Recent Octavia has paddles, used them couple of times in four years. They are as option in the Style trim, so the forthcoming Karoq is without paddles. Used that money for traffic sign recognition option.
  10. Think which is nicer? To sit in car where the temperature is +20 or in car where the temperature is -5? When it is cold outside and you start the engine, you get cold air inside 10 min or more. We have auxiliary heater in Octavia and forthcoming Karoq, not any car without it. In our case the Volvo has 25% higher price tag, not worth to pay (have had three Volvo's in past).
  11. Come on. In winter time the heated seats are a comfort factor, as the heated steering wheel. When it is freezing winter time do not forget the auxiliary heater either. The engine likes to start when it is warm and the driver as well. It is awful to sit down to cold seat and put hands to cold steering wheel and those clothes you have to keep in the freezing steel box, outch.
  12. Living in the Southern Finland. In winter time we have nowadays wet, slush, snow, ice etc. The roads are plowed or not, can be 20cm snow. Have had only 2wd cars, never big troubles and in winter time always winter tyres (no spikes in 20 years). When have Skodas, then in Yeti there were 16" as in recent Octavia, in forth coming Karoq will have 17", expecting no problems. If you stuck, the reason is behind the steering wheel.
  13. When ordering the recent Octavia in 2014, didn't choose built-in SatNav, the resolution of the screen was... Have used the TomTom all over continental Europe, it is not perfect, odd routings sometimes. The new Karoq will have Amundsen, in my opinion the Columbus is not worth of the price. If the Amundsen doesn't solve the routings then Android Auto using Waze or Google Maps. Then we have the Joker, the old TomTom 6200. However, if we are lost, we can only blame ourselves.
  14. We ordered our recent Octavia with black window trims and roof rail. Then it was easy to change the grill surround and byu black wheels. It is a "totally" red and black, only the front and back emblems are chrome, because I didn't found black emblems with right red base colour. There are no texts in back either. When ordering the Karoq in June, no black window trims, no black roof rails. Ok, no black grill surround and wheels. It would be Quartz Grey and "silver" version. Don't even remove the texts this time. In my opinion the black and chrome mix doesn't look good.
  15. The original delivery time was late March 2019, which was told when ordering, now it is 4-7 weeks earlier. The waiting time is long, but no worries, driving the recent Octavia as long as needed.
  16. UK seems to be a special case, maybe there is a special line for right hand drive cars. We have ordered ours in the late June, it is build week 50 and pick up is in February here in Finland. It makes over 7 months.
  17. I prefer the http://www.rearguards.co.uk/index.php?app=gbu0&ns=prodshow&ref=RBP626&sid=79229q55044u2808a828on58246bs32u Has a little lip downwards.
  18. The centre console screen, some switches in the steering wheel and column is called as the infotainment system. There is many variations of it: Columbus, Amundsen, Bolero.
  19. Between the Mytikas and Nanuk is Triton

    WLTP

The new WLTP is effective in Finland since 1. Sep, because of that we have so many new price lists. Here is the BMW X1 and X3.

    WLTP

Checked just the Nissan situation where only Juke 1.6 is approved. The WLTP Co2 values are 180-188 g/km, the NECD values were 128-139 g/km. The Toyota C-HR 1.2 FWD WLTP values are 154-156 g/km and AWD 184-187 g/km. The SUV range, crossover and all "not common" type cars are loosers in the new measuring method.

    WLTP

There is in the original and translated text the asterix (*) as a comment mark. There are not any asterix in this price list. This comment sentence has left here from the older price lists, where were the NEDC based values. These are errors in the rush. As you can see there is another careless mistake: - Katso tehdastilauslisävarusteiden hinnat Kodiaq-tehdastilauslisävarustehinnastosta. -> - Refer to the Kodiaq factory accessory price list for factory equipment accessory prices. And this is the Karoq price list.

    WLTP

My information is from the pricelist that Skoda Finland has released on 14 Sep. Only Karoq 1.0 TSI, 1.5 TSI and 1.6 TDI can be ordered WLTP approved. Karoq 2.0 TDI is only with NEDC Co2 emission. This is the Finnish situation to live with. We have to pay the emission based tax when purchasing the car. E.g 1.5 TSI DSG Style trim the tax is after 14 Sep £7831,56 and total price is £33695,85. Skoda Octavia 1.5 TSI has WLTP Co2 emission 130-136 g/km and Skoda Octavia Combi 1.5 TSI 136-143 g/km. The NEDC emission values are history and we can/must forget them now. Maybe other Skoda distributors has different information.

    WLTP

The Karoq 1.5 TSI has been WLTP approved, CO2 is 153-168 g/km. Now they maybe can start to drive the cars from the airfield. OT. Seat Ateca 1.5 TSI get the WLTP prices here in Finland in October.

    WLTP

Today 14 Sep: One Audi from VAG, three Fiats and nine BMWs. When VAG is so speedy our estimated pickup (1.5 TSI DSG) in march 2019 can be true.
