Fuel filler jammed
I've seen a suggestion to lubricate the "plunger" with silicone spray. This may be useful in an emergency: The list of "known issues" on the Karoq seems to grow longer by the week...

Door auto locking inhibit
Looks like they've fixed it then, although must be fairly recent. 👍

Door auto locking inhibit
It's speed related. Even if your turn it off after setting off, the next time you slow for traffic it will re-lock. As alluded to above, older vehicles have an option in the menu to turn it off, but Skoda have removed it. I doubt any apps can disable it either, as VAG have locked the software down on all vehicles now.

Best fitted seat covers
The last two threads asking the same question went unanswered, so maybe have a look at the Facebook Karoq groups.

Buy
Be aware that 2.0 is only available with DSG in the 4x4 Sportline, which will take you over £40k & into "luxury" car tax.

Software update, is Skoda Connect required
No, mine launched a myriad of updates on the way home after picking it up.

Trying to Understand Android Auto and Skoda Amundsen together
@Barneyboy48 Maybe post your location in case there's someone nearby who can assist. I find it hard to believe that you need Android Auto enabled, as that implies that you could never pair a phone that doesn't have it. I agree with @NottsIan that you should try to remove any existing pairing & then try again from the bluetooth menu.

The automatic switching on headlights
The issue for me, & apparently the OP, is more that it also triggers the SatNav screens to flip to night mode making them harder to see in daylight.

The automatic switching on headlights
Fair comment but there's no reason why Skoda can't make this work properly. I had it on my 2015 Polo & it worked flawlessly. So quite how Skoda have managed to make a pigs ear out of existing, basic, working technology is a mystery.

The automatic switching on headlights
Low is less sensitive, so should be what you want. But note that they setting can apparently be reset after an OTA software update. Even then the switch is way too early in my opinion. No idea why Skoda have set it so.

Blind Spot Detection
Never had it on any car so don't miss it. As @sussamb says, given how the other Skoda "aids" are prone to error, I wouldn't trust it either.

Battery cover for cold weather
Not checked my Karoq but my Polo had one. It was little more than a thin plastic sleeve & I really can't see it doing much in the way of extra insulation, compared to the thick case of the battery itself. Google threw up this, which suggests it's more relevant to AGM batteries. Battery Heat Shield According to the VAG ERWIN Self-study guide, guide No.504 “Vehicle Batteries- Design & Function”, the engine bay is considered a high temperature place for the battery. This can adversely affect the durability of the battery due to:- “Corrosion of the positive grid, water consumption, & self-discharge increase.”. They also state that AGM batteries must retain the heat shields they have been installed with as they are more susceptible to heat damage. Conversely if your car wasn’t fitted with an AGM battery there is a chance that it won’t have the required heat shields & you will have to retro-fit them.

Nav always dark and glitch in app
I think the daylight sensor is just over-sensitive to low light. When I bought mine in June it would switch early evening, in bright sunshine. There is a setting for sensitivity & reducing that helped, but even on it's lowest setting it's been on pretty much all week in the dull weather. Note that changing the setting doesn't appear to be dynamic, in that it doesn't take immediate effect. You have to change the setting & then it takes effect next time you start the car. As for the app, could your subscription have expired?

Parcel shelf rattle
If you haven't already, I'd try removing the shelf & going for a drive, just to verify that is indeed the cause of the rattle. I would have thought that even with the missing part, the other half would keep it in place.

Dashboard Storage
Thanks guys, sounds like it was from the MY24 Edition builds, so hopefully a retrofit should be possible.

Dashboard Storage
Anyone know when the storage bin was swapped to a rubber tray, was it at facelift or later? Wondering if it's possible/feasible to retrofit to a new car.

Battery and alternator advice needed please.
As I said, possibly a bad connection. It'll take a few minutes to disconnect, clean posts & terminals & reconnect. A light going over of both with a low grit sandpaper would be good idea. If it doesn't help, at least you've ruled it out.

Battery and alternator advice needed please.
Sounds like maybe a poor connection. I'd disconnect the battery, check both posts & clamps are clean & then reconnect, making sure everything's nice & tight.

Thatcham Approved - What category alarm/immobiliser does my Karoq have?
This sort of thing really annoys me with insurers, they demand the vehicle reg, which tells them exactly what the car is, & then they start asking questions about it. Direct Line are one of the worst, having just told them via the reg which car you have, they then ask if it's a van! Try a comparison site via a cashback site.

My 'All-in' plan coming to an end .......
I've seen suggestions that Skoda sometimes have Black Friday deals, so maybe hold on before committing elsewhere. But obviously worth looking at alternatives in the meantime.
