Aero inserts on 19” Alloys
I bought bolt covers & centre caps ahead of taking delivery of my SEL Edition. But having popped one of the covers off, I'm now not so sure, as there's so much brake caliper & disc on show.

Short 128Gb USB C thumb drive query
@diver For some bizarre reason, large capacity drives simply don't exist. Given the proliferation of USB C in recent years, together with the removal of SD card support from many Android phones, it's puzzling as to why not. But even if they did exist, covering them when they can produce a fair bit of heat in use may not be the best idea. Only providing USB C support & in such a daft place must come from Skoda's other design philosophy, Simply Idiotic...

New car time!
@Frizzbee30 If you haven't got a long list of options, there's some very good deals around at the moment on unregistered cars. That could save you around £10k off the OTR price of a factory order but I think the current promo ends tomorrow.

New car time!
@Frizzbee30 When I asked recently about a factory order for an SEL Edition, I was quoted 16 weeks.

Karoq SE L Standard ‘Equipment’
Not that as I had to manually enter the details while waiting for the reg number, & Edition models were there. Then tried again once the reg picked the correct car but still no go. Only thing I can think of is they were by default, valuing the car at even less than the current showroom stock deals, so maybe they didn't like my retail valuation?

Karoq SE L Standard ‘Equipment’
Certainly some odd things going on with insurance. My current provider refused to quote on the SEL Edition 1.5 auto with no explanation, so I had to cancel & re-insure. Direct Line wouldn't quote either. That's coming from a 2015 110 TSI Polo with broadly similar performance to the Karoq but without the current mandated safety features Went through Confused & Top Cashback & the best policy from a known brand was £371 with Aviva. Full no claims, no accidents, no other drivers in rural North Essex. Hopefully £45 cashback to come off that later down the line.

New car time!
I've just bought an SEL Edition & can both open & close from the door switch. Try pulling it holding until it starts to move.

Canton Upgrade
Had to give up on this as I couldn't find a vehicle installed with it to test. There were also apparently issues on the configurator as to whether you could have the variable floor or not in combination with the Canton. As for losing the dashboard storage, that's been removed from current models in any case. So I've ended up with an SEL Edition with the Columbus system. At least it sounded usable on demo, whereas the Amundsen sounded horribly tinny. Although both obviously only samples of one. Time will tell if I can live with the Columbus without having to throw money at it.

Variable Floor Alternatives
There are some good deals to be had on standard cars in stock, but it seems dealers never spec the variable boot floor. So for those that have a post-Varioflex Karoc without this feature, have you come up with any cunning solution to nullify the giant step when the rear seats are folded?

Changing alloys Karoq 2024 se-L
As someone considering a Karoq SEL, this is disconcerting. I really don't understand the entire industry fascination with oversized wheels with excessively low profiles, totally unsuited to the current state of UK roads. You can't even spec an SEL with 17" instead of 18". You can't increase the profile on the same size rime as that would increase the overall diameter. That may result in clearance issues but will definitely screw with the car's electronics calibration. You would have to drop to 17" with the 55 profile, as @SaintViking says. You'll also need to notify your insurer of the modification so may be worth checking with them first. It may just be a note of the policy or it may require an additional premium.

Canton Upgrade
Karoq is on my shortlist & interested in how much better the Canton system is over the standard? Would be good to hear both from those that oped for it & those that didn't because they thought the standard setup was good enough.
