  1. Sadly ElectroVerse & CPS is not that great for some at some chargers locations. The cost is not less with ElectroVerse as the Price per kWh can mean a charge costs more than the CPS tariff showing for a charger which might be high for the 1st kWh then drop. My issue which is not really an issue as in i have still not had CPS take a direct debit payment and reduce my £200 + Account. They will get paid when they want paid. A few times i have tapped and paid on the CC and payment taken. Lots of CPS card use showing on the account and no invoice. They have the Credit Card number to take payment as they have taken a few payments since the new system came in and also done a refund. I changed from the DD being on a Current Account to from a Credit Card so that if they mess up taking any over payments as in the past i will have someone on my side. As in the Credit Card provider. It is the same for others, not just me.
  2. We are in 2024 now & the OP has a 2023 Skoda.. Skoda have been building cars from 1905. VW from 1938. There is no reason for sh!te engineering. They are always on about Motorsport Heritage. No need for manual shifts to feel like a rally car gearbox.
  3. Skoda Fabia 1.2 TSI DSG (S-A) = semi automatic. a DQ200 DSG.
  4. Was the car the same pre service? Can you remove the Ignition Coils to do the spark plugs? Did you change the Filters or did A.N. Other. If you did not check the Air Filter. Check leads, connections, pipes / breather connections. Check the professionals work if it was not you doing the service.
  5. Edinburgh /Lothian & out and about, different roads and surfaces from other regions maybe. PHEV different torque though the front wheels from other drivetrains. Its just how things are. Location location location.
  6. There can be misfires but not enough in a cycle to log. Really worth looking at the spark plugs. ? Have you looked in at the Air Filter?
  7. What a song and dance about fitting a 'kill switch' to a nice simple vehicle to fit a hidden kill switch too.
  8. That is it, Error Codes checked to see what is logged. Spark plugs out and inspected and measure the gap. Then from there what ever.
  9. Going to bite MINI / BMW Dealers in the UK as far as Used cars they have in Stock and future used MINI Electrics residuals. They were already getting to be available for pretty low prices. As far as the new Built in China MINI Electrics and the Media wrongly showing the Image of them. Serves BMW / MINI right for being lazy barstewards as far as any UK Recall Actions & proper Press Releases. PS As far as the Other BMW / MINI issue and hold backs on deliveries because of a Brake Issue. I wonder if they are piling the cars into the UK and still First Registering them early of hand over to get the 22% EV First Registrations. Customers getting the New cars can do their own thinking over that. BMW / MINI UK might move their back end to get the parts in and the cars out.
  10. Compare these videos and the info and images. The first one is very strange IMO. Not that helpful. 1st vid. Good image of a 12v battery. 2nd vid. A yellow 2024 on MINI E or SE, nothing to do with the Battery Recall on the previous generation MINI Electric. 3rd vid. A dude that drives, parks and charges the cars and has a bit more to help others like him to understand what the issue is. On which car.
  11. Maybe no Derick,s with a vRS wanting to put that on.
  12. Welcome. @Carlston might be along and able to help.
  13. Welcome to the forum. I would think getting in another Master Tech or technician would be a better plan than waiting for them to see if another faulty one comes in so that the 'mechanic' can say 'They all do that', or 'It is a characteristic' At least he can not say 'Never seen that before'. Full factory trained technicians . Selectively, deaf, dumb or blind', put off fixing faults as long as possible. Someone else can do it.
  14. Welcome. Best advertise it in the Cars for sale' classifieds on this forum.. Much cheapness.
  15. @Graham Butcher you were dead right in the thread on EV fires about Smoke & Mirrors. BMW / MINI are trying to blow smoke up MINI Electric car drivers arses. 'Honesty is the best policy'. They will be pulled up on trying to spin this to suit themselves. Even EV sites can not be bothered to show a picture of the British Built models that are affected. As to dealerships or MINI / BMW UK and their info on the recall. Not fit for purpose.
  16. @mccririck Just pull into Kwikfit or whoever does the tyres then and they will seek approval to change the tyres pre frosts. If they say need new tyres and just on the front they go happy days. No hit on your pocket. Happy safe driving days. Being a business users is so good, a PHEV for the BIK and no maintenance costs or need to worry about tyre wear other than keep an eye on pressures and condition. The Social Divide right there. I am the same. Drive a car Leased From Mobility. I can 'Get tyres fitted if tyres are needed' and the Kwik Fit fitters are not stupid in Forfar as they know Front Wheel drive, wintery weather or rain you need traction, steering, braking from the front. But then first week i get a new car i fit All Season Tyres (@ATS Euromaster) and store the crap ones like the Continental Contract 2 Self Seal on the Alhambra, or the Michelin Primacy 4 that came on my Electric Corsa or the Goodyear Eagle F1 Sports until they go on 3 years later when the car goes back and to auction. The fresh new ECO tyres are back on. No way am i messing about on the ECO crap manufacturers fit. All seasons are on and when the snow comes the better in the snow all seasons will be on. Just because if roads are open i like to be able to drive them on my side of the road.
  17. No but you would be replacing 4 tyres, maybe running with a bit more tread than you are away to be on the fronts unless you replace. Then the fitters will be telling you the usual that they have to put the new ones on the rear which means those rears go to the front. That is why people do rotate, or do front to rear swaps. Especially new with Hybrids or EV,s if fronts and rears come in the same size.
  18. What a shame you never put the fronts to the rear and rear to front at 10,000-15,000 miles and then you might of got 30,000 miles out of them.
  19. @boycie OT, but be aware that there was a Software Update that was applied when the Upgraded Oil Spray jets were fitted.
  20. So are my25 1.5 TSI DSG,s arriving with disc brakes, and all is well with the world?
  21. @gumdrop There is nothing to do like putting the wipers in the Service position. I am just asking if the wiper park / rest in a slightly different position by a couple of mm each alternate time they are switched off. As some cars do so that the blades last longer supposedly.
  22. Good to see that someone bothers to look and find that the level of regen has options. (just a pity not while driving.) Something that many a Motoring Journalist never bothered to find and tell us about.
  23. When in a car you do not see how it looks unless looking at its reflection in big windows or you see others going along the road.
  24. Members in other sections have been posting about the Service Campaign / Recall action been carried out when their cars was in at dealerships. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-campaigns '57NL'
  25. This is the kind of nonsense you get in the media like the Express. A recall of a specific Model, Mini Cooper Electrics 2020-2024. That is cars built in the UK. What they show though in the article are 2024 cars that are built in China and that have their own possible issue. Brakes.
