Yet another towbar thread
Was there a recall done or even an investigation by the DVSA on that tow ball attachment failure? Did the insurance loss adjuster have a report done and was that showing an equipment failure or users fault? Lightening can strike twice.

Karoq Performance Package
In the hands of Skoda UK / VW UK that decides what they want on the models they are importing to the UK and are being offered for sale. It will not be Skoda CZ saying go stylee over practicality. People could actually contact Skoda / VW UK and tell them that the standard and option wheels for the UK are not to their liking.

Spare Wheel (again)
Lovely. Room for a Full Size Spare that is the actual Real Full Size as in the 4 that the car come fitted with. Room to put in the punctured tyre and wheel in to carry safely, even once repaired if not changed at that point.

How to view (electronic?) service history
They have the often buckets of sh!te because they were not serviced as to keep up the Manufacturers warranty hence they got for 'Much Cheapness' So you want to know you can purchase a Skoda / VW Used car warranty. They do sell them to you, only later if ever you need to claim to tell you it is invalid.

How to view (electronic?) service history
If they say they have no Service History with them and price according then good. But if the Service History was on line they have the System to look at that, and they will have and have it at their finger tips, Just as a Main Dealer to check the history on the system. Have you got the VIN or just the registration number? Someone will be along that will help you. *** The PHEV,s are due Oil & Filter changes annually, / 9,400 (10,000) miles. ***

How to view (electronic?) service history
Ps as to serviced in line with Skoda service recommendations. There are Skoda approved used cars (VW, Audi & SEAT) with FMDSH that have not been serviced to Skoda guidelines, recommendations, schedules or specifications. Maybe brake fluid not changed or spark plugs or what ever. If it is a Skoda Superb iV 1.4 TSI then the oil and filter changed are fixed regime. 12 months 9,400 miles. The DQ400+e DSG is at 40,000 miles. Spark plugs at 40,000 miles. Fixed regime, as they recommend what is done. Not that much...

How to view (electronic?) service history
Cinch have done a check anyway using their system and could show you. Since they are car dealers and are being asked they should tell you what they know. Hiding anything they know and do not tell when asked catched these morons out. They wanted to know the history as much as possible before buying it. Just as a main dealer or Skoda customer services contracted customer services. So what is the car and age and miles?

Extended Warrenty and Service
Read the terms of the warranty. There are no BIG services. Oil and inspection and extended scope. ? When are spark plugs, pollen filter, air filter and brake fluid being replaced? Are you paying or are they in the service plan. It is all in the detail. I would stick with independent servicing unless this Warranty is wonderful and also the Serviced plan.

3 karoq - awaiting delivery what's the issue?
The Skoda Secret Service and Servicing Campaign updates bite them on the bum. As it is because of past lemons that have been handed over to customers that then require updates and inconvenience the customers they would be better being upfront and transparent when there are issues. It is people's hard earned buying the cars or leasing and the Muppets try treating them like Mushrooms. Keep in the dark and shovel with sh-!t.

3 karoq - awaiting delivery what's the issue?
But that is examples of 1.5 TSI ACT,s with DQ200,s. So that is a big guess to include other Models / DSG,s.

Extended Warrenty and Service
Ask those making the offer to send the T&C,s. The Exclusions etc. As far as servicing it is a Free Market', Registered for VAT etc. They can not run a Cartel. But, Would the Warranty offered be valid as in a Full Record of Servicing to the Manufacturers Recommendations, Guidelines or Advice / Schedule up to now using the Approved / OME parts? So what has the 7 or 8 year old car had up to now, and what engine / gearbox have you, and what is covered by the Warranty. What does the Service Plan Include? This is not totally correct, but what Skoda have shown for fixed service regimes since 2020. What are you going to get for the next service and the one after included with their offer?

3 karoq - awaiting delivery what's the issue?
@johnnydp756Welcome. 'Every model with a DSG'. Is that Karoq only with DSG? 2wd & AWD, Dry Clutch & Wet Clutch. There are Skoda cars / models with a DQ200 7 Speed, a DQ200-e, same thing, PHEV,s with a DQ400-e & then DQ381,s. Surely (Shirley) not all Models & All DSG,s.

Sportline 190 TSI 4x4 engine tune/remap – 0-60 MPH in 5.25 seconds. Owner review
A 280 increase of what bhp or torque or their profits?

Porsche Taycan
I read today that there is a world wide recall of every Taycan built in 2020 because of the possibility of a leak from a front brake pipe. PS Autocar says every car 'since 2020'.

the truth about electric cars
- TSI engines
Hardly any surprise then considering the difference in the bhp / torque from the small capacity petrol to the diesel or larger TSI then the Dry twin clutch DSG and the the 6 or 7 wet clutch DSG,s with the bigger more powerful engines. There are reasons that vehicles are different prices. Then also the 1.2 TSI,s were discontinued. Replaced by 3 cylinder 1.0 TSI then 1.0 TSI with GPF and the power increased slightly.- Why I will never buy an electric vehicle...
There are drivers and owners of EV,s that have had decades of driving all kinds and still do drive all kinds. Not just people with a zip up the back of their heads. Old and not so old that might try and find they like a EV so drive them and not just because an employer says they have to.- Why I will never buy an electric vehicle...
People do get some weird ideas about EV Batteries and the size and range they go. A pretty certain range when you know the vehicle. The big engine hearses were because they suited the slow journeys, much like a BEV would be. Light weight bodies (the vehicle) The Queen's coffin with her in it could have traveled in one of their Branded Hearse but an EV one from Balmoral to Holyrood with a charging session where they had the stopover in Brechin.- the truth about electric cars
All part of the UK,s banking for dictators or anything robbed from countries around the world and the hub for global money lending. As safe as houses in the UK. You can buy them for many millions, leave them in ruins and do no care and maintenance and the UK Government or any other Governments can not get them. Cheaper than paying for storage and security of millions of gold. They can be in anyones name just like much of anything in the UK and the Government just turns a blind eye to where the money came from.- Bad smell of fumes in the car
Best get it on a ramp or just with someone who can identify from where it comes from.- the truth about electric cars
PS @Winston_Woof great thinking, Haves might not travel much by car and not much where they can not get back home to charge cheaply. The unwashed masses are all over the place, here there and everywhere driving their own cars and paying their way as they go. So really the cheap bangers or just keeper Petrol / Diesel option is the way for these vagabonds. @lol-lol Consumption down, more skint housholds about, energy debt, the £400 hand out went to everyone and many on Pay as you go meters never got vouchers. As people pay daily standing charges so the energy companies keep up the profits there are those getting very very cheap electricity and even paid sometimes to use it to charge vehicles, do the washing, cooking, heat the swimming pool etc.- the truth about electric cars
Well i have had a good few thousand miles worth in 3 years so i am alright Jack. & where i can i still get free charges. Actually i could not give a damn as i will be rolling coal for years to come if i last that long and be pleased i had a few of the possible best years for using an EV and not for work. My only regret will be that i never had a Tesla with free supercharging. But then i likely would have lost my licence again or wiped my self out by now. I loved Dodgems when younger, and this is what driving an EV feels like. Just lacks the sparks and some of the noise.- My dash warnings
I have flagged your post / question so that a mod can move it to the Fabia Mk3 section.- the truth about electric cars
Free electricity right now for many once you have spent a bit on buying some gear for the solar, wind or hydro and that has paid it,s costs back. A couple were asking me about EV,s and charging and costs and then mentioned they have a river running through their property. That was when it dawned on my the V12 Vantage Carbon we were standing beside was theirs.- Why I will never buy an electric vehicle...
The electric hearse might just suffer thermal runaway and job done. I really have never witnessed a hearse that has broken down or a hearse being recovered. - TSI engines
