  1. @Stonekeeper 'May not show', Which has been the case for the past few years. Customers were mis-sold cars that they had told the salesperson they wanted to tow with. Is it yet another Lost in Translation and should be 'Will not show'. Or just 'May not because some may show a towing weight'.?
  2. @Gabbo Simply ask whoever to show you in writing what the 'Official Limits' are. it is not 0.5 litres in 1,000 km / 621 miles. Actually 0.3 litres in 1,000 km / 621 miles is not 'Within official limits' But they must have the 'Official limits' to hand before just spouting the usual nonsense. The plonker that did this 'Official Oil Consumption test' on a 1.4 TSI Twincharger did not even know the weight of a litre of engine oil. This one below. *The 2nd one they tried to say the customer with the issue topped up oil to spoil the test.*
  3. @Seanbont Who is it that has said about what Skoda are 'apparently' going to be doing? They should be simply clever and be building SUV,s, Cross Overs, SUV look a like,s and hatch backs and saloons with towing prep.
  4. @semiroundel I am a Fatbiker & a fat barsteward and have had to do repairs, even packing tyres with heather and zip tying on the tyre. But i am not the weight of a Superb.
  5. @Tico Has the Manufacturers Warranty Expired? Are the Independent qualified to work on a Mild Hybrid, do they have the trained technician, EV trained, even though it is just a DQ200-e DSG they are looking at.
  6. @semiroundel Did you not think of taking off a bolt cover to see if the socket / tool you had did fit?
  7. Emergency services are getting in with their Glass hammer as will members of the general public that are 'simply clever' enough to carry them in their vehicles. If you are going to drive into floods, rivers, canals etc get a Glass breaking hammer in your car and to hand. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/523441-safety-hammer-mounting-advice The cars got through Type Approval as the 'Safety features' evolved. Report to the DVSA if you believe there is faulty design and Skoda UK says it requires resolving and yet they are not doing that.
  8. Sadly honesty can be a stranger to them.
  9. You have to get passed this shower and deal with the Executive Team Members from Skoda / VW UK. Get a Resolutions Manager at least communicating with you. Easier said than done. As for CEO,s, Brand Managers, After sales Managers with Skoda UK. it has been pass the parcel for near 2 decades now. Selectively deaf dumb and blind, but pleased with improvement in sales.
  10. @Daveview Is that someone @ Skoda / VW UK HQ that put it in writing? As long as there is a name and job title for the person that is something that can help others.
  11. @Daveview Welcome to the forum. Do you have something in writing or a link were it says Skoda has recognised an issue / design fault and the technical team are addressing it? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/512190-automatic=central-locking-when-moving
  12. A Motion Sensor, not just for ferries, For Transportation, delivery, recovery, theft buy lifting it onto something.
  13. @Lee a 10 year revival. Love it.
  14. Tesla dealers / Traders might well be doing what ever is needed @ 2 years, or pre or post MOT. There are going to be plenty private sale of older cars and also Traders / Kerb Side Autos selling and buying cars. There is going to be plenty vehicles requiring serving and maintenance and remedial work and trained and qualified people to do that work.
  15. @SUP is that you that has called someone out 18 times? Should be buying a banger.
  16. The cars are just arriving for the Classic car run. There will be plenty visually cars of the day.
  17. His is under 2 years old. September 2022 first registered. There are going to be plenty Tesla cherished and loved and cared for cars on the used market, and loads of fleet / lease / rented, never serviced or much done, maybe not even cabin filters changed. It will be a buyers market.
  18. @wyx087 a 2 year old rep mobile car should have zero problems should it not? other than maybe accidents etc. 'Just buy a Tesla'. How many miles has your Model Y done? Do you mean 'just get a Tesla' has had zero problems'? No idea if because he lives in Scotland he is a Scot. Zero problems other than the car that could not be moved after a faulty light, but these things happen. Covered here before with his videos linked / posted. When buying a car especially one that has not been getting servicing and maintenance and inspections it is about that car not some other car that has been and getting updates and any warranty work done. First vid.
  19. You can only weld to good metal so you have to get to that.
  20. Well worth it after all the work done replacing the Inner & Outer sills, wheel arches and whatever else needs doing.
  21. @Tintowellfan 1st Prize. But then the 4 on the car do not have TPMS Sensors fitted either, did you not notice?
  22. The Wheels tyres of the car do fit in the Spare Tyre well. There are models of cars where the floor might sit on the rim / sidewall a few mm higher. If you have a puncture, car full of stuff or people and the boot full, then you might put on the Spare. reset the TPMS. Put the deflated or partially deflated wheel / tyre into the spare tyre well, load up and set off, remembering it is an odd size tyre, maybe just narrower, maybe a few mm less circumference, maybe brand new , GREEN. & maybe at a different pressure, compound and tread. It matters not if that Full Sized Steel wheel spare has a 'Speed restriction warning sticker' to say it is an emergency spare, you know it is.
  23. Really it is not 'Just buy a Tesla, drive and forget, there is no servicing schedule'. Buyers beware, new or used. *Renters maybe could not care less.* Do not be a Rodney. If you are not inspecting and checking then have someone else do it. Even if just the inside walls of tyres. Or the suspension, steering, brakes.
