  1. Today i ordered a New MINI Cooper S electric level 3. Silver, Black Roof & Mirror caps, 16" Victory Black wheels, Black Leather interior, Black Roof lining, Panoramic Glass sunroof, Privacy glass. (Without the Piano Black exterior trim option. No bonnet stripes, no roof rails.)
  2. Pretty nippy. Certainly not going to hold anyone up that is behind you and able to keep up with UK traffic and NSL.s. & a Kamiq or Scala is a different size / class of car from an 'Octavia, Superb, Mondeo, or Passat which is why they might not be used as Taxi / Private hire cars, (There are some Scala Taxi / Ubers about.) & a Kamiq is a size down from a Karoq.
  3. @GokhanD Examples. Bottom comparison why your example was not close..
  4. Octavia 1.5 TSI ACT DSG SE suspension a bit different from that of a vRS but then maybe just the difference of Ooo & Ahhh!
  5. Welcome. No idea but someone in the know might be along. I see roof bars with a max 60 kg load and ones with a 75 kg max. Skoda has the max load for the roof as 50 kg. So bars and roof tent, lightest roof tent about 50 kg. How heavy is the person / persons getting up there? I see a Fjordsen Van 220. http://fjordsen.com/rooftop-tents/light-140
  6. @jenson10 'Skoda' or Skoda Dealers employees have said this for years with Mk2 Fabia when a Customer was / is paying. Funnily if a warranty was covering the cost Accuators were / are available.
  7. VW Group will have a TPI then and will be accepting that even out of a 3 years manufacturer warranty the failing is theirs and they will be covering losses. ? So the fault was not a Fundamental one from the factory, it was a software update that was done for some unexplained reason that then caused the failings? Lost the pigs flying picture. Buying an extended warranty when buying a new car with a DQ381 would be simply clever or extended warranties from Skoda / VW if buying a used one. They could not say 'Know issues' because after all it is them that know about them, or can deny there are any.
  8. Welcome. Sensible if you are wanting to spend for the stylee / looks rather than just practicality of the wheels and tyres on the car do the job they are required to. Maybe if the tyres are needing replaced sooner or later so money needs spending could be the time to splash the cash on wheels and tyres of a different size. Maybe you could sell your wheels and tyres on Briskoda and even find bigger wheels / tyres that someone else is selling after going smaller on their car. (The circumference / rolling radius will be much the same.) Comfort might depend on what you think, where you drive, what tyres you fit, etc.
  9. Welcome. Did the Tyre Fitter actually have the car on a ramp and cast an eye over the steering & suspension? Not that that might mean much. You maybe need to go visit a mechanic that can check the car and diagnose and give you some assurance that all is well but there might be some minor repair or replacement required. Best not just trust it not being much wrong. Or even that the wheel balancing was done correctly, or alignment is right, or even the wheels are bolted on correctly.
  10. There was stuff here about waste or losses turning electricity into hydrogen. Well the human body turns food & liquid to energy and waste and any surplus intake and failure to pass out waste from the process is like there stored as fat. Just a shame that the waste products are not used efficiently to produce more food / liquid and energy in the countries that can easily do it as producing electricity, and gas is a simple process.
  11. Water / sewage companies, farmers & rubbish tips and many other business,s need to be turning more human & animal waste and vegetable matter into energy / power sources. That just needs Governments, Agencies & the Energy companies sewage, farmers & others working for the good of the people and the environment. The thing the world is not short of is sh!te and urine, just as not short of wind or sunlight.

Some of the cars or vans being set on fire in Paris or elsewhere in France might well be EV.s. That is if there are EV,s on the streets where there the disturbances are and where vehicles are being set alight. Maybe that will get mentioned in the media eventually if there are and how the fire services deal with those. Possibly left to burn just like with ICE vehicles.
  13. Repmobiles. More of which are needed. Actual 0-62 mph / 100 km & much more just a pith take really for 'Company Cars or Family / Private cars in the UK.
  14. Still too many big heavy cars being Bought / Leased / First Registered and getting Tax Breaks from UK Tax Payers, many of who can not afford a car or a new car. HMRC / Government need to stop encouraging Business,s / Companies to have vehicles running about for their employees or management that are bigger / heavier than required just because management need prestige cars. 'Commercial Travellers' REPS as they used to be called, and people that drive long distances regularly for work out of cities do deserve comfort and reliability and range. (EDIT) Giving them some of the Bigger / Most expensive EV,s does not mean they are getting the most efficient EV,s requiring least charging stops. ....................................... 15. @skomaz As we know with this Government, the agencies like the DVLA, or organisations like the Office for national statistics, or the SMMT or RAC is that it is pick a number any number. It might have been 780,000 Registered / On the roads, it might be a million now, it might be more. The number is growing and maybe less are being crashed or scrapped as there are ICE vehicles that are part of the 41 million. ***If really almost a 1/4 First registered in the UK were really BEV,s that would be lots, but if they were actual EV,s and that includes Hybrids / PHEV,s then they need liquid fuel. *** There are lots of EV Light Commercials going on the roads with Fleets. Also PHEV,s. CALLING MILD HYBRIDS & PHEVS EV,s IS KIDOLOGY. Actual deception IMO.
  16. @skomazAround 41 million vehicles road legal in the UK is it not, not cars? Point taken though.
  17. Perfect, i agree. But 'Mony a mickle maks a muckle', i would rather give a £1 to a begger than Supermarkets that are greedy barstewards. Now i use Gulf because i went there when it was 1 pence a litre cheaper than Asda 100 yards away and now i buy their Super Diesel that costs more because my van stinks less and loves the more expensive stuff. But then i don't even get 30 mpg even on the dear stuff. (90 litre tank.) Never had that improvement over regular diesel with TDI,s though or any diesel in the past, even performance ones. My Alhambra 2.0 TDI SCR DSG 150 ps could do with 'coasting function.' 830 + miles from a tank without going on reserve wit regular derv. But then that was a 70 litre tank. It could also drink a gallon in 25 miles if doing only 5 miles a day or so for 5 days. Ooomph! card gives 2 pence a litre off.
  18. 630 miles and 60 mpg and we are at 10.5 gallons. so 47.7 litres, and if 143 pence a litre, £68 ish. So about that 60 mpg. The litre price being the number needed. £61 could be cheaper diesel or better mpg...
  19. There will be a screen you can go to that will tell you the range left for the Adblue. Like one you can go to telling you how many days or miles to a service, or how many miles done, or fuel average etc. ? Have you had a look at online Owners Manuals for the car you are getting?
  20. Try youtube and a few key words and there will be various ones. Then Skoda have a website with Instruction videos.
  21. Cars telling you what the posted speed is a good thing and some are pretty accurate most of the time. Not so modern Skoda,s and others have had 2 'Speed warnings' you can set if you fancy. The regular one and then the 'winter tyre' speed warning. This is my 'might get banned' speed warning.
  22. If a Skoda Dealership then the term Major Service is a blast from the past decade. ? How much do they want for oil & filter and look see and maybe a road test and maybe not? No changing an Air Filter (maybe not even checked), or spark plugs or a cam belt or anything, no coolant replaced or any consumables other than oil and filter.
