Automatics ......
@Tilti drive only automatics / 2 pedal cars and have since the 1970's. This past week i have driven 4 Automatic demonstrators, 2 DSG's, a a wet and dry 7 speed, a Renault Hybrid 6 speed and a Toyota Hybrid e-CTV. Like every other one i have driven from the past years they were great and do what that are supposed to do, The only poor box i have driven in recent years were VW Up!MiiCitigo ASG's. If i was to buy a keeper now i might give VW Group DQ381's a miss. 80,000 service interval is OK, but then there is a filter to change and VW Group say no. & there is no way i would be leaving the Oil or Oil & Filter anything like 80,000 miles and i would want a Warranty covering it. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/511232-dsg-dq381 PS Maybe avoid 1.5TSI ACT's. Look at the cost of Cambelt changes @ 5 years. ..................... For a real costly vehicle to maintain at 5 years on.. A 1.5 TSI / ACT with Haldex & DQ381.

Welcome. Because you have ordered one at a time after a World Wide Pandemic, a semi-conductor shortage and after Russia invaded the Ukraine and Skoda have reduced production of cars. Maybe it will be almost 6 months but quite possible much longer than that. How long have you waited so far and what have you ordered?

Welcome. I will flag this for a mod so that it can go to the Mk2 section where you might get assistance. As to the Turbo there was a TPI / Service Campaign action back in 2010/11 or so for a Shim, there were / are actuator issues, but if the car is on the original turbo it has lasted over 10 years. There was / is an issue with a spark plug lead and armouring, look at No.3 lead and see how that looks and if armoured, but then the car is over 10 years old. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/495806-ht-leads-skoda-fabia As to the timing chain and tensioner there are upgraded ones that are now noisy and could maybe do with replacing. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/344005-12tsi-cam-chain-problem/page/8- Octavia MKIII Scout fan smell
? When was the pollen / cabin filter replaced, the area cleaned last. Or even looked at?- 272. Remap or not?
Plenty good Tuners in the North East of Scotland and the rest of Scotland so no real issue there.- Automatic Time Updates

@Padam Is your car Metallic Blue rather than solid Blue?- New (to me) Karoq service schedule
If Skoda / VW UK were really to be concerned over a car 27 months since registered in the UK with only 10,000 miles not having had an oil change they need to think of the cars they imported that spent months, many months part built and bunkered on runways with engines, gearboxes, haldex with oil in and even AdBlue before ever getting to the UK. When a car gets to having a 2 years service it could be near 3 years old, or the fluids in it could be since filled.- Fuel Filter Location - 2017 1,2TSI CJZC engine.
It is only an item to replace if faulty. You would need to be opening the tank.- New (to me) Karoq service schedule
If you read the Manufacturers Warranty & Terms & Conditions & Servicing as linked above this is different from the 'Used car extended Warranty'. BOOKLET. That is where the 500 miles / 4 weeks is in the terms. VWFS_11815379_SKODA_AUW_Booklet_0922E.pdf- Fuel Filter Location - 2017 1,2TSI CJZC engine.
In the fuel tank.- Fabia 60 plate juddering when idle
Use the VIN checker and if it says Not part of the recall or whatever then that is likely because it got the Engine Management Software update and the Airflow device in the air intake. If not done it might show it as outstanding.- Fabia 60 plate juddering when idle
Welcome. Is it a 1.2 or 1.6 TDI & how many miles done? Did it get the VW Emissions Fix carried out? http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions- 1.4 tdi losing coolant
Hopefully others can help. ? Was the car ever in for the Service Campaign / Recall action? Any Warranty work done already? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/426322-recall-on-diesel-cooling-issue/page/5 http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions- New (to me) Karoq service schedule
Welcome. It left the factory set for a Variable Service Interval. If left on that at the PDI that was 24 months / 18,000-20,000 miles to the first service. So August 2022 was when due. That was & Oil & Filter service & a Pollen Filter. (If the pollen filter gets done, some might opt not to.) Hopefully your Manufacturers Warranty is valid. If serviced with the correct parts / fluids, record of it etc even if 500 miles / 4 weeks over the time. ? Do you have a Warranty with the car other than the remainder of the Manufacturers Warranty from where you bought it? If buying a new warranty be sure that the seller accepts servicing is as required in the past 3 years. Oil & Inspection services @ 1 year & 2 & 3 & Extended Scope @ 3 years. (Fixed Interval Servicing.) Or First Service @ 2 years / Miles & then maybe 2nd at 3 Years in the UK before Warranty Expires, MOT done. The Manufacturer as in Skoda & then Skoda UK not that clear on their Guidelines, Recommendations or Schedules, even with 'Skoda Approved Cars that have FMDSH's. ** Your cars might well have had sufficient servicing with only 10,000 miles in 26-27 months if the last weeks or months were 'In trade' / At the garage. only a warranty claim might need that proving.** SKODA_Warranty_Terms_November_2021 (2).pdf- New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..
@LuckypantsThank you. Up to date for the chargers shown but not any anyplace i use chargers as these are mostly Charge Place Scotland ones. I had an account with Octopus show i have the App now and if stuck someplace for a charger i will check what shows on the map.- SKODA KAMIQ
Welcome to the forum. CAPITAL letters are considered to be shouting. ? Can the salesperson really not tell you where the car is and when it is to be getting transported to them? Or can they just not be bothered!- New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..
There are 2 EV chargers installed at the Lecht Ski centre. Nothing showing on Zapmap or PlugShare about them and not on the Charge Place Scotland App so i have no idea who's they are other than reading about them being there and the bays can be seen on the Webcam. http://lecht.co.uk/webcams http://outlas.cc/resorts/the-lecht http://northern-scot.co.uk/news/funding-to-help-transform-th-lecht-into-year-round-adventur-260249- Is the Skoda fabia mk2 hatchback front bumper same as the estate model

Nothing to do with that. I could not give a damn about counts, or c-***ts. Just you stick with being helpful and i will post as i like.- the truth about electric cars
Today i was pleased to get a good speed of charge from a 50kW charger as it was a good bit warmer when i got to it than when i started off today and than the past few days. Over 500 miles has cost me £17.07 having only had to pay 3 times @ 35 pence a kWh, the other charging was free. I did almost have to go and charge @ 55 pence a kWh for 10 kWh of electric / range (only 30 miles for £5.55) as the charger i was going to used was blocked by someone that was locked in and i had no idea how long they would be but another driver stopped to get a charge and told me of a 7kW charger nearby and after 90 mins on that i had enough to get where i was going. ........... Porsche Taycan are a bit big for Tesco Bays and personally i would not leave one parked there on a 7kW charger. Or a BMW i3 on Trade Plates plugged into a Rapid with a 40 minute max charge time and sitting not charging when there are only 2 rapids. I unplugged it to let another person on it. Too many are scared to touch them when others are being ignorant.- Is the Skoda fabia mk2 hatchback front bumper same as the estate model
