The DQ381,s do not have proven reliability or longevity yet. Actually they are showing as being possibly troublesome. Running one without a warranty needs to be taken into the equation.- Front washer jets removal/replacement

There is a thread in the past week in the Fabia MK3 and MK2 section covering 2 types of nozzle removal. Are they just the twist type. Vids in the threads or on YouTube. Are they the kind that is blocked you just replace for a few Quid each?- Skoda Superb Combi 2.0 TDI 4x4 140kw L&K Business Edition - 2018
Ask who ever told you the regular service is due what they think is required. Or was that the service indicator on the car that shows service due? Plenty posts in the Superb section if you look. ? What has been done so far, last services. ? When was it done? Oil & Filter, Fixed or Variable Servicing. Haldex service @ 3 years / 30,000 miles.*Not just the oil changed.* DSG oil change @ 80,000 miles or sooner if a DQ381. Brake Fluid change at 3 years then each 2. Pollen filter @ 2 years or sooner if needed. Air filter when dirty. Brakes serviced as needed. etc etc Cambelt / Water pump according to country, advice / recommendations. Just as an idea,- How (un)common a sight is a Skoda Scala?!
This is the number of Scala, Kamiq, Karoq & Fabia sold in Europe. Karoq comes in FWD, AWD and more engine choices and 3 gearbox choices. Fabia are not SUV / Crossovers and limited engine choice and gearbox until the new Mk4 came out.- Engine oil
Personally i would get VW 504 00 / 507 00 and forget the stuff VW Group went to for the WLTP.- Engine oil
Welcome. The car left the Factory with VW508 00 / 509 00, so 9w 20 FS IV. That is their recommended oil. ? What was used at the last service, that or VW504 00 / 507 00 which could be 5w 30 FS III or maybe 0w 2- FS III ?- Front seat backs, range of movement query
@r0b3rtYou must have been lucky or buying the kind of car with forward folding seats. There certainly does not seem to be anything in brochures or owners manuals or diagrams of the carrying capacity and dimensions showing the seat folded forward.- Mk 2 fabia Vrs blinking gauges on dash?

Is a Golf estate the same? As it is I do not want high pressures with an estate car with nothing much carried, maybe not even passengers in the rear.- Remap / chiptuning available for the 2.0tsi VRS!
In the UK Unleaded 95 ron is E10 only and Super Unleaded is E5 and will be 97 or 99 ron min. The VW Group & those retailing tuning maps seem to have failed to notice that 98 octane has not been sold in the UK for over a decade. That is OK though as the 97 ron can be Min and is the 99, not all the same amount of ethanol around the UK. I like the ethanol. It was always Tesco Momentum 99 for me unless it was BP 102 ron when it used to be available in Scotland for High Days and Holidays, then it had to be Hyperflo 250 102 ron for smiles on 1/4 miles. http://volkswagen.co.uk/en/need-help/need-help-faqs/fuel.html There is something different with ESSO. That is that Greenergy (part owned by TESCO PLC) that produce and distribute Tesco Momentum 99 also do the same with ESSO fuels in some of the UK.- Front seat backs, range of movement query
? Do you mean the passenger seat back folding forward to carry a long load? If so then surely not available, or you never paid for the option if it is available?- E-bike
I heard Kit Malthouse MP on BBC 2 Politics Today / 28th February 2023 say ' You can now have a throttle on electric bikes in the UK.' I thought, WTF is he speaking about. Well he is right if now the UK has aligned with the EU / European countries or otersh, but really what he says is about the fact of it. I found this. I have no searched out a UK Government Statement on changes.- Hello from the Netherlands
@andriyvp Welcome to the forum. Fire away with the details in the Kodiaq section as to what the Error Codes are and the km done an what servicing or updates it has had if any. @varooomand others on here are a font of knowledge.- Faithful friend – 1.2 TSI S DSG, 150,000 miles – dead. Replacement suggestions?
I have been looking for a newer Suzuki SX4 auto like my 2010 one but newer. They are too expensive for good ones though. I was going to sell my one to a friend. They have a 2006 Corsa that needs £1,000 + for this MOT. Even old Corsa are in demand and not cheap just now, as are Suzuki SX4, Suzuki Swifts, Older Jimny, Splash etc.. It is actually worth my friend sticking with the Corsa for at least another year or 2 as they have spent on it in the past year as well and buying un-known is a risk. I will keep the Suzuki for another couple of years as it really costs nothing to keep on the road. (They are easy in and easy out and a nice simple non turbo engine and a good auto gearbox. 45 mpg easily achieved.) There are older cars that have proved their longevity and that are worth searching out. Re Electric cars, older ones which are in demand. Unless you have home / local charging and low tariffs then they can be a PITA. So for London even you really need to know what is involved with having one and charging with it left slow charging or if suitable for rapid charging which older EV's can have issues with. Then there is the issue of repairs with older EV's, or newer ones.- After having a bad fall last August looking for an automatic car.
@JoePeddosHave you checked any cars out yet? The DQ200 DSG's have not really been reported as having much issues fitted to 1.0 TSI's, but then not really with Euro 6 1.2 TSI's.- Faithful friend – 1.2 TSI S DSG, 150,000 miles – dead. Replacement suggestions?
Lots of the high prices are 'Asking prices'. If the cars are sitting and not selling then maybe because they are rubbish, or maybe just nobody has bought them. Check out Clearance / Trade clearance locally. You do not always need to paying the Asking Price displayed on cars. Is there nothing suitable in the Briskoda cars For Sales?- How (un)common a sight is a Skoda Scala?!
I have just seen 3 within 2 miles in Forfar on my way to a EV charger. 1 parked, 1 driving and another in the Tesco car park. All near new. But then the Scala and Kamiq,s are low advance payment from Motability and Skoda Specialist cars Dundee will supply quite a few.- Tyre Pressure
You know the weather, the road conditions and the weight / load in your car. What feels right without being too firm. Start with them at 39 PSI if you want, reset the TPMS and if you feel you want to let air out and checking the pressure and resetting the TPMS then do that.- Gear shoft indicator
Is it revving it's nut off of and not going very fast or chugging and a change of gear might be simply clever or just nessecary.- How (un)common a sight is a Skoda Scala?!
They are the least or 2nd least of the Skoda models being bought / first registered in the UK and not as noticeable as the Enyaq's. The same globally. Maybe many of them are sitting in Hire Car pounds and not on the roads / parked road side as much. They are out there someplace, many just not that many in the south. Each time i spot it is a Scala and not an Octavia i think that is a sensible looking car.- DSG Reset (Basic Settings)
@Donweather? What actual engine and DSG do you have? & do you actually shift it down to M1 when just crawling along in slow traffic or when coming to a halt? Many if in D with different engines / DSG in slow crawling traffic will move the shifter to S so that it might not hunt up and down from 1st to 2nd, but then location location location, and circumstances.- Used 1.2 TSI - Anything to worry about?
@nta16 The point is 'they are not making contact with the keeper' just because they use RECALL as a term. If you are not in contact wit them or the car is you might never hear of that SKODA SECRET SERVICE SERVICE CAMPAIGN. which is where Social Media is handy. Even actual RECALLS get missed on cars in at Dealerships and going to be sold by them. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/473413-recalls-recall-actions-service-campaigns-skoda-secret-service - E-bike
