  1. All Season tyre option. Nice. Efficiency. Lovely. But then she should have mentioned the Ambient temp when she was getting 4.4 miles a kWh. And 200 miles from a 43 kWh USABLE CAPACITY battery would need to be getting 4.6 miles a kWh. (I read the battery is 53 kWh total capacity. & in Car Data, an estimated Total Capacity of 46 kWh)
  2. Are you going to be taking lessons and your test in a manual car or an automatic and have an automatic only licence? 2 members here had Fabia vRS as driving school cars. 1 was green and not unusually required a replacement engine.
  3. Welcome. Have you managed to insure it in your name? I doubt even @DAN@ADRIAN FLUX when he comes along can help with a premium less than the car cost.
  4. Actually it loves 12-15*oC.
  5. So did you try a Reset.? Then contact the Dealership Service Department and ask for a Technician. What was the Service, was there a Brake Fluid change or brake service, or wheels off or just Oil & Filter and Inspection?
  6. I am getting the car showing 6-8 miles to the kWh at the moment. On Mid setting and high regen, and even AC on. 1.5 miles downhill and 1.5-2 miles back 3 or 4 times a day. Charging up it is working out as 5 or 6 miles a kWh. The sooner this roasting weather is over the better. In the 20,s is too much for me.
  7. @wiggers when were the tyres pressures adjusted and the TPMS reset by you or anyone?
  8. PS Open the bonnet and check the oil level cold and see where it is. You can check once you are driving at operating temp and compare. After stopping obviously and a few minutes. Then you know next time there was the correct oil level at the service. Look where the coolant is. Maybe it was filled to MAX but has already set it,s own level.
  9. They could at the service checked the tyre pressures and adjusted them and maybe not reset the TPMS. ? Have you checked the tyre pressures you got the car back with and reset the TPMS? I would if it was my car. Do not trust others to do it right, or set the pressures that suits you.
  10. Indeed, So is the answer yes, the OP can maybe tell us. Pollen filter and brake fluid done, and were the spark plugs?
  11. In the UK as well. Vehicles leave the Factory on Variable / Fixed Service Regimes. At a Dealer / Prep centre they come out of Intransit setting and Demonstrators go Fixed Service and they might without asking the New Keeper if they want Fixed Servicing change it to that, or for Fleet or Service Plans. The question is the 1.5 TSI iV PHEV. Are they on Flexible / Variable code Q16, or are VW still saying Q2 or Fixed Oil & Filter changes. Not other TSI,s not 1.0, 1.5 TSI ACT, 1.8 or 20,000 but PHEV,s.
  12. Not detrimental using long life oil on fixed service regimes. Just the oil is pretty crap. Take VW with a pinch of sodium. Like the detergents in fuels / oil, sodium. The non Long Life oil is lovely, Full synthetic. Perfect viscosity for the UK or much of Europe. Perfect even for higher temps and adverse weather / temperatures. As far as Emissions, really VW do not care about engines they produce that use engine oil like a 2 stroke.
  13. The DQ250 handles power. The VAQ diff needs serviced properly and for performance type power @ 2 years / 20,000 miles is what is recommended by people that care. Not VW / Skoda obviously.
  14. Nail on head. Under Real World testing, not in real world driving conditions.
  15. That is VW Group for you. Stick with the recommended oils they went to for getting WLTP results. Even if not all Authorised Dealers will go with that. They get a certifications and as far as engines, as long as they last out the Manufacturers Warranty. Not that they all do. Now what about the 1.0 MPIs, 2014-2017 that used VW 504 00 / 507 00, and pre GPF,s or VW / Skoda going 0w20 FS IV before WLTP testing? the 1.0 MPI in a Citogidoes not have a Q16 code for Variable / Flexible servicing. They had a Fixed Oil & Filter regime. They are not showing VW508 00 / 509 00 are they?
  16. I would prolong my 1.0 MPI engine which really is the same tech as has been in the Citigo since 2009 or in Fabias for 'Long time mister' with OIl. As far as only 0w 20 FS IV listed, well knock me over with a feather.
  17. Official was FIXED OIL & FILTER CHANGES with 1.4 TSI iV PHEV,s. Some were not doing that as never charging the car and running the engine so doing Long Life / Variable / Flexible oil changes. ? So what is the Regime now with 1.5 TSI iV PHEV,s. Is it annual / 9,400 mile oil changes or variable / 24 months 18,000-20,000 miles? Or being VW Group is it at 9,300 miles because metric to imperial is so difficult for them?
  18. @JackP Relevant is the 1.5 TSI iV PHEV. So how many of those are dealerships dealing with and as part of The Warranty Bingo game replacing oil sensors on. Or removing oil and blaming a sensor. ? Once the oil is removed if not overfilled from the factory is the engine running the correct quantity of oil?
  19. Not a clue. Has the VAQ been serviced every 30,000 miles / 3 years & the DQ250 every 40,000 miles? How many miles / km has it done?
  20. Several threads on Mannol on Briskoda in different sections with those that use it or swear by it. BUT, you need to be sure it is Genuine from a Truster retailer / seller. But Snide oils come in any brand, Mobile, Castrol etc etc. Personally i would run my TSI on VW504 00 / 507 00, so 0w 30 FS III or 5w 30 FS III if using long life oil. Not that i would use Long Life and i would go VW502 00. As far as 0w 20 FS IV, not for me in a TSI that i owned and was a keeper.
  21. @JackP Is that no reported issues with 1.5 TSI iV / PHEV engines being run mostly on electricity? No over fuelling? ??? Why are they saying replace the fuel pump? THEY SURELY KNOW OF AN OIL SENSOR ISSUE. Are you a VW / Skoda Tech or working in a VW Group Dealership? AI can turn out any old rubbish obviously. Where it finds the info off the net is anyone's guess.
  22. Best ask them to get an Oil & Filter change approved with the Warranty work. Sounds like the start of Bingo Card Warranty actions. Throw parts at them. If as simple as that then great. More likely over fuelling when engine fires up and GPF / Catylitic heating up. Hopefully now there can be no 'Never heard of that before', & it will not be an opportunity to say 'They all do that'.
