1.5 TSi M-Hev misfiring or a completely different issue?
No idea, but did the car get new spark plugs as per VW Group / Skoda recommendation, guidance, specification, serviceregime, @4 years / 40,000 miles?

the truth about electric cars
The dude that introduced Green Diesel to the USA, never got to be VW boss, went away in the huff to Geely (Volvo) then to GM Global, started with VW and was a VW insider, then was with Mitsubishi for a while gleaning their technology. Was he the whistle blower?

the truth about electric cars
It is like Audi forget that they were Endurance Racing and planning from the R&D to have Diesel Hybrids. They built car factories to build them in South & North America and in Hungary and the engine and motor factories. It went tits up because VW Group were caught being lying little bar stewards over emissions. They had some very efficient diesel hybrids, just very expensive. Billions were written off when the mass production never went ahead.

the truth about electric cars
At 65 year old in Scotland men get called for a Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening / scan. I suspect that there are some Youtube bloggers that wear hoodies and rant about milk floats and evangelists that might not make it to 65 years old if the same is offered in England.

DQ381 service intervals
The change was from Synthetic to mineral. '34F5'. started 2014 in the UK on ones 2009-2012. Late 2012 not done. then 2013 with synthetic '34H5' was started in 2017, a software update. Plenty pics of oil changes in DQ200,s on this forum. Yes the colour changes, and there is lots of mess around the Dry Clutches. Plenty couple of hundred thousand mile DQ200,s about. The failure rate was bad, but nothing near the DQ381,s. Different though, 2009-2012, selector forks, clutch packs, fuses etc. the 2013 on the actuator & MCU being the common issue. and the 'Famous DQ200 Clutch Slip.' thread in the Fabia Mk3 section.

DQ381 service intervals
DQ200 Twin Dry clutch DSG,s have no Service Intervals. But people do have the 2 oils changed. The issue is Service / Dealership staff that says they Require servicing. That is just Arse & Elbow with them. The Failures / issues are from the Fundamental Design, Materials, Manufacturing / component s, harware and software. Hence Worldwide recall with just a Service campaign in Europe. 2009-2012 DQ200,s. then Service Campaign, 2013-2015, then a couple of TPI,s, and uprated clutches and software 2015-2018 for some. The Recall restarted 3 times in Australia. NZ and other places in the Far East getting new MCU,s and a 10 year / 100,000 warranty back about 2012-2014. North America, Australia and elsewhere the 8 speed auto and staying with the 1,4 TSI was simply clever. Or the DQ200-e. used with the MHEV.

the truth about electric cars
I think he got his point across years ago. It is only some that need to keep banging their head against a brick wall. They must like the pain of that nut job rants / shouting.. But points/ clicks mean prizes in his pocket.

Auxilary Heaters
Not an option from the factory for UK imports. No idea what legislation you think makes them illegal. They are type approved for Europe / EU and the UK was in both. There are vehicles here with Auxiliary heaters and vehicles visit with them and using is perfectly legal.

DQ381 service intervals
VW Authorised repairers, Techs, Fitters or UK Main Dealerships THINK because VW tell them that the FILTER is replace at each 2nd service. They also have the Servicing as @ 80,000 miles. It would not be the first time someone once made s typo or messed up km to miles. Also German, to Czech to English / American English. A good guide is often what Audi say for servicing. Where VW / Skoda / SEAT had 40,000 miles for a DSG Audi had 38,000 miles for a s-tronic. Austrians maybe convert km to miles differently. As it is the failure rate of DQ381,s is surely going to have class actions against them some place, or maybe in Australia the Lemon Law will bite their bum. My mate is one of the top Auto Special in Scotland if not the top. Dealerships put cars to him. He does the procedure to oil temp as per required. No point cutting corners / time, do it once and do it right and no oil overfilling. .

DQ381 service intervals
Ken is very very cheap servicing a DQ381 if he can do it for as low a cost as that. If anyone has a Manufacturers Warranty on their car with a DQ381 as long as it is serviced with the correct parts / fluids by a VAT registered person in the UK then hopefully they will accept that and not try invalidating any claims.

ECU Amber and Front Assist Not Working
OT but not really. Has your car had new Spark Plugs yet. Only 3 & they are a 4 year / 40,000 mile schedule change item. A misfire can have the EPC light coming on, and there need to be enough in a cycle to log as a fault code. Misfires can also have the engine light come on. Or even just sitting ticking over for a long time, even from being at a dealers or a mot test and running stationary.

Car Park Fires, Transporters / Ships, any fires, any EV,s involved or not thread, were they the cause just there and so made fighting the fire harder.
It is the SEPA Offices Stirling that i charge my car at. Big offices full of very few people as far as i can see, maybe up to a dozen EV,s sitting about sometimes. They are maybe all out and about doing stuff, but funnily knowing what vehicles they have i spot very them very very seldom.

ECU Amber and Front Assist Not Working
Sorry if i missed it, but what year was the car registered and how many miles done, and asked above. What servicing has it had?

Car shaking
What are you thinking, mechanical, engine / dsg / drivetrain related, or just wheels / tyres, balance, damage etc? Best have someone with mechanical knowledge check it out.

Scotland is devolved it has nothing to do with the UK government. It is the Government for Scotland, then SEPA not Defra. Health and Safety Executive Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue. The local Authority should have had an enforcement or the Government Agency. The terms of the licence was no storage over 6 months. Enforcement is an issue with owners not cooperating. As happened with mines that were not cleaned up and caused pollution. Or even nuclear waste sitting many many years in various locations around Scotland. PS. A Battery Storage facility planning last year got tied up because of this premises which had the fire. People scared about a totally different type of facility.

Mrs Gaz has decided she wants a new (to her) car
My issue was hesitation 1st to 2nd that meant i put in Sport at quite a lot of junctions and then get smoothly joining traffic when in traffic in town. The worst ever was the Golf 2.0 TDI 115ps with a DQ200 DSG. Now because i am mostly in the Electric MINI and occasionally others with the power or mode not at sport to stop wheel spin pulling away i find any petrol or diesel automatic i drive really quick just because the accelerator and movement is OK but not wheel spinning in the way a FWD EV can be. For QUICK getaways i do as i did with the Mk2 Fabia vRS. Start to roll a little bit then boot it.

Timing belt replacement.
http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/531668-timing-belt-tool The 5 years / 50,000 miles was unique to the UK and was a Skoda / VW Moneymaker. The UK was and is counted as a 'LOW DUST COUNTRY' and that was the actual regime that should have been recommended or advice, pre June 2023 when the new guidance came in. (Because people with a 1.5 TSI ACT were not paying the £850-£1,200 being asked and were trading in cars instead then Dealerships would need to do them, maybe not taking 6.5 hours, but still not cheap if the car was to be serviced to the manufacturers. All of a sudden what went before changed.

Elroq: Who else has ordered?
@NigelL What does the good lady need, seat far forward and high, or back and high, and is she driving? Sadly not showing yet in the RIDC. As to seat height, of the base fully up or down, it is the Floor to base height that matters is it not. Once in the car, driver or passenger. Then as i know, it is how near the driver needs to the steering wheel / pedals controls when jacked up. People maybe short of leg etc. There is nothing to beat getting in and sitting, being a passenger or a driver. There are also the seat fabric style. some seats you are more on top of than in. The ground to top of sill or the top of sill to the floor is an important measurement for many.

Another Tesla Class Action Law Suit - Odometer Fraud
Many a BEV driver would notice that the car had supposedly done 3 times the distance expected for the electricity used. Surely it is not as simple to cheat as it is with e-Bikes. Change the total diameter of the wheels on the software and you get a higher speed while pedalling or assistance. I can see people cheating down the miles covered with lease cars etc, save paying over miles. Then there was the Car Trade 'Clocking up' to 3,000 miles for the Demonstrator Tax Breaks in the UK. Back in the day the HIRE CARS still in plastic and grease from the Channel Isles that came to the UK to besold having done 3,000 miles. FORDS...

If using EV to mean Electrified Vehicle, but that is not a BEV. There are so many Mild Hybrids now and also PHEV,s. Dangerous things. And a brand new one going up, scary but just goes to show. Wait for the facts from 1st hand reports, the investigators. Get you on the road in no time. & maybe on the back of a salvage truck.
