  1. @AGFalco I am surprised that your TSI does not prime the fuel rail after the car has sat long enough. (Before the ignition is on and then the fuel pump runs.) I am not surprised that TSI's do it and drivers are not aware when it does. Maybe listen closely. If you have the car left with the doors unlocked and get in the passengers door then listen as you open the drivers door. Maybe this never passed on from Mk2 Fabia. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/217514-motor-noise-upon-opening-drivers-door-but-no-other-doors http://mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=41524.15
  2. @KenONeill That was 'as an example'. Do you think i should have given an example of every choice of keywords you might type in a search? there are a result from briskoda kenoneill pedantic one is from a 19" alloys thread.
  3. @DgethinIs your car a 2018 then? (Ignore my Service Campaign stuff '34H5' that was 2013-2015 DQ200's) ? How many miles on your car and when was it last in for a service / oil change? ??? When was the micro switch done, and how many miles ago?
  4. @Yogi-BearAre you pricing that on Fixed / Annual Services so after 12 months then again @ 24 months, or are you looking at Variable and First @ 18,000-24,000 miles / 24 months then again at 48 months? 1st Service, OIl & Inspection fixed is not £308.50 surely. @ 1 year. If the first service at 2 years for the first the only extra over the Oil & Inspection Service should be the Pollen Filter.
  5. I posted in the other section you posted in because i spotted that and not this. General Maintenance. A mod will bring that together here maybe. How old , how many miles has your car done? EDIT. I see from another post maybe a 2018, so out of warranty. Ignore what i said about the DQ200 DSG Service Campaign, that was on 2013-2015 cars.
  6. How old is your car? There was a Service Campaign on DQ200's 2013-2015 started in 2017 because of possible pressure issues leaks, '34H5' a Software Update. Was that ever done. Now is all going to depend on what the oil leak is. There are 2 oils in the DQ200 DSG. in the box and in the MCU, the MCU leak is rather common, or is it Engine Oil that is leaking. ???? Was the DQ200 DSG's Micro switch repaired under warranty or did you pay for the work? How much did this work cost? It has a 2 year part & labour warranty if you paid for this. The DSG including the Mechatronic Control Unit will need inspecting.
  7. These Fridge / Fish tank thermometers are about £1.99 each. Sometimes cheaper than just the batteries. (recently they have been a £1 or 2 more.) Good for down a dipstick tube to check oil temps, in a airbox / air intake etc, and to have in the car or outside the house.
  8. Skoda really managed to sort out engine management & emissions and the low usage of Adblue / SCR if the tank is less than 17 litres and can do 18,000 miles. If they had done that years before for TDI's in the USA they would have saved Billions in penalties because of being caught having introduced defeat devices.
  9. Posted by another member in a thread about 1.2 TSI's & pinched. To save members and others having to pay to get information they should get free because they paid to buy a car. I will ask a Mod to pin this in the Mk3 Fabia section. Personally, i am not so sure about the Temperatures given, like from 18*oC. Cold starts and the need to get things up to temperature apply to actual temperatures much colder than where the car has sat 6 hours and the coolant is at 18*oC to 33*oC. Is there some error in the figures????
  10. Thanks. That should be clearly published in the Owners Manuals. Now it can be maybe Pinned on here so that people need not pay to find out when Dealership Employees do not demonstrate to the customer that running rough can be 'Normal'. Also that when you open the drivers door after the car has sat a while the fuel will be primed before the car is started, or even before a key goes in the ignition if the car has a key. Coolant temperatures of 18*oC- 33*oC are going to be uncommon when the car is used in much of the UK through winters where the Ambient temp is not even in the teens so the coolant will not be when the car is sitting. So no issues or rough idling with Catalytic warming when the coolant is below 18*oC? Just the increased RPM that might drop off after 40 seconds.
  11. @310golfr You do get different AdBlue tank sizes with different models. The Alhambra had a 63 litres diesel tank and a 17 litre AdBlue tank but had a Euro 6 Engine. I do not think the Superb's Adblue tank is any bigger than 17 litres but i might be wrong. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/446153-questions-about-adblue The AdBlue self life stored in ideal conditions at 18 months or whatever is pretty OK in the UK and in the car. It is out of direct sunlight in the vehicle, but it might go below -6*oC occasionally & above 25*oC. It might get used up in 18 months in cars doing 12,000 miles a year. But then the AdBlue was manufactured & transported and stored before it ever got into a vehicle. Maybe even 10 or 20 litre containers sitting outside a Filling Station Shop in sales lockers, the cover open & in direct Direct Sunlight at BP Filling stations and the likes. That is when it was plentiful and there is not a bit of a shortage like now. ** Cars sat Bunkered for months when the WLTP came in and they have AdBlue in the Tank from the factory, cars have sat unfinished from the production line now and are still sitting, that is Oil, Brake fluid, Haldex / DSG oil, some limited amount of petrol or Diesel and Adblue all maybe a year old before the car goes on the road.**
  12. @Agilecanonbal Sorry that was not meant in a cheeky way, asking the questions is absolutely the thing to do. What i should really have posted is, if doing a google maybe put briskoda as a keyword. like 'briskoda fabia mk3 fuel rail' Just so that you might see just how if there are the threads that have the question and replies. On that subject there are in other sections of models with the same engine. Really i just mention this because often a question on a different issue asked in a thread with a different title does not get the responses. Sometimes a new thread started gets replies or asking in the thread that has had lots of replies already.

  14. So is there a Software Update or a hardware update for the fundamental fault, or what does the TSB tell you? Has someone from VW Group told people if their car runs rough after a hot start after 2-3 hours then tough titty this is normal? How is a 1.2 engine doing a hot start after 2-3 hours, is this in tropical conditions or something? ? Have those with cars that start and run smoothly just ended up lucky?
  15. @steevsWho has documented this and said it was normal? Is that on Social Media / Forums? Only normal if something is not quite right. If it is someone at at Dealership saying 'They all do that' then they are telling lies.
  16. Welcome. The search function is good or just a google. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/468348-fuel-leak
  17. @New11 I knew you can do nothing about it after one is gone, so have you checked the others are tight? ? Is the security / locking bolt still fitted and is it one of the other 4 that is lost?
  18. @New11 If the wheelbolt do you suspect someone has pinched it, maybe because they lost one? Has the car been in at a garage or tyre fitting centre? Have you checked all the others on a the car are correctly tightened?
  19. Reading an old thread i see that some mention that the manual said up to 18,000 miles and yours must really be capable of that then. Others posted getting no place near that. ? So what range does it show now for the AdBlue. My 2016 2.0TDI DSG Alhambra came to me with a 7,000 mile range, and at the first top up that that was 7,500 miles, then 8,000 miles at the next and then it started just sipping the AdBlue and the DPF was clogging. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/465249-adblue
  20. @IJWS15 Have you had the car from new and that is the first topping up with AdBlue or was it added before at a service when in a Dealers?
  21. @Sandgroper When was the car last given an Oil & Filter Service and the Service Indicator reset? There is no problem have your local garage reset the Service Indicator, maybe having changed the oil. Do they not reset it anyway when doing previous services having all the gear and more than ideas? but do not expect a Main Dealer to reset it without doing a service. You decide if you want your Oil & Filter changed or Servicing & Maintenance on 5 year old car. The Service interval Fixed is every year or 9,400 miles or sooner, and on variable 18,000-20,000 miles / 24 months.
  22. How long was your car with them, and did it get a road test? What was it getting done, just an Oil & Inspection service? Was it getting an annual Test, brake fluid changed or any other work done, & do you know how many km the car had on it when dropped off and then collected.
  23. Welcome. If it never did that before you dropped the car off to be serviced then you will need to have it checked by someone. How many km has the car done? Even if they increased the tyre pressures that should not have made a difference to the suspension.
  24. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/498069-2016-rapid-slightly-oversized-tyres-a-problem http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/407375-wheels-big-ones-light-ones-what-ones http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/459243-skoda-rapid-has-tiny-wheels-can-i-upgrade-size Welcome. What is the standard size tyres on 17" rims for your car, are they 215/40 R 17? You are going a bit too big with the tyres, are you building an offroader? @Carlstonmight be along with all the sizes and rims you need for the tyre size you are looking at, but here is a comparison for you. 'Too big basically'.
