  1. As long as taking it before bed does no harm even to a type 2 diabetic then and their blood sugar levels are under control. Even if it is just Super Market Honey and maybe no different from taking a couple of sweets or pieces of chocolate. If it is only snake oil and a fad being promoted by sellers of honey then so be it. https://mindbodygreen.com/articles/why-you-should-eat-a-spoonful-of-honey-before-bed https://brightside.me/insperation-health/what-can-happen-to-your-body-if-you-start-eating-honey-before-bed-682360
  2. What Kuhmo are they that are fitted? It might make no difference if there were better tyres fitted but it might well along with appropriate pressure and pressure on the accelerator pedal.
  3. Appropriate tyres for the season is a good start.

The Yeti was discontinued and the Karoq was launched but even Skoda never tried saying the Karoq replaced the Yeti. They do come in FWD or AWD though and are just a bit bigger.
  5. @AnnoyingPentium No idea were you get the recommendations on changing Air Filters every year. Certainly check, pre and post winter or when ever, check if wading wet roads etc. Skoda used to have them at each 2nd Major Service so 4 years or 40,000 miles. They might not even get checked before then. They charged the Major Service Fixed Price even when not changing them. £269 then it went to £289. Pure Rip off charging for stuff not provided. It is a location location location thing. Citing in Edinburgh rush hour behind busses 5 days a week can have an Air & Pollen filter filthy. Driving in the country or parking up can have Air Filters or pollen filters clogging up. Check them, blow with an airline or vacuum them if not too dirty. Replace @ £16 or less if you want to. Not paying out £45 to a Main Dealer. This is what they have now. Air Filter @ year 6 / 60,000 miles. (Pollen filter ever 2)
  6. @Mickvrs220 I know what you meant on Buy British, just not the over here bit. Plenty local Honey sold near to me in Angus and Deeside etc. Local bees honey for anyone local or not. Never sure how they can say Organic Honey..

@ColinD A FWD MG EV can get up the A93 /A939 in a pretty spirited way and takes yumps and corners rather nicely on your own side of the road. It is a pity that some of the Taycan / Audi & over big fat EV's you meet coming towards you can not stay on their side of the road. Funnily those with Sporty EV's are out looking at the scenery and you need to get passed them to get a move on, you just need them to breath in or get over a bit rather than straddling the centre line. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/435353-north-east-250-scotland This issue is that if you sprint 60 miles into Wales when it is cold in a Corsa-e or e-208 you will need to charge before you get home again. maybe after 110 miles and that is if just you in the car. In the summer think more like 140 miles and you need on a charger and that is on 60 mph roads. An Up!MiiCitigo EV is probably a better choice.
  8. @Mickvrs220 It is your 'buy British stuff as it is not allowed over here and its a lot nicer' that is confusing. Where is over here?
  9. @Mickvrs220 Thanks for that. Made me look. https://latinhoneyshop.com/blogs/news/11-shocking-facts-about-supermarket-honey I will just stick with the stuff i like the taste of. Not a honey fan so not going to have stuff that tastes horrible. I get big jars as gifts from Hungary that are sold at the roadside and funnily it tastes & looks identical to the Tesco honey. The Tesco jar has on it. Tesco Clear Honey.Naturally Sweet. Made naturally from flower nectar collected by bees. A blend on non-EU Honeys. Packed in the UK.
  10. I think you are right there. The honey and what they were calling a hibernation diet might now be more along the lines of the Low-carb ketogenic diet some have which is high fat and low carb.
  11. ? Does anyone else eat honey as part of their daily food intake? I have been taking a couple of spoons of honey a few times a day and i put it into curries etc and always before bed after reading and listening to Sir Chris Hoy and his use of honey. I am happy just with Tesco or Asda's honey at 93-99 pence a jar of the price of the stuff currently available at £1.30 a jar. I never go for the more expensive stuff as basically i am tight. Today i spotted this and thought no i would rather get a week or mores worth of fruit and veg in and a couple of jars of my usual.
  12. They are quite a length of a car.
  13. Third time now I have seen an EV6 on a 7kW charger at Tesco having been left by a driver to charge. Each time the cars having not been getting a charge as either full or the charger cut out. Today I asked the driver if the car was full or the charger had cut out. He said he expected it was full. The thing is he has left and the charger is now out of service. This is as it was with the last 2 EV6,s after they left. No idea if they are causing the chargers to trip or not or a coincidence. I suspect they are causing the charger to trip. Very long cars.
  14. All very true. there was indeed a pandemic. I made the Profit point directly after the post by @310golfr That was with the link on profits. We know how profits and taxation works, by country and world regions and VW Group trade in many of those. I gave the links on the Fines for 2020 and then posted on 2021 with the links. That is in the EU. Not mixing the separate subjects. VW Group might well have got caught out by not getting the Electrified vehicles manufactured as needed to meet the emission figures required. That was even getting out ID3's with 'Faults' not ironed out and needing done once with their new owners, and still software updates being required. Same with iV's and Software issues / failings, they just transported them to Dealerships and end users and they are first Registered. There are many off the road and Owners / Keepers are driving loan cars and the issues are not resolved. If anyone thinks VW Group are going to make the same mistake 2 years in a row then that is up to them. Those waiting much longer than others on their Octavia TDI AWD's might just be unlucky. PS As i pointed out yesterday, there were plenty Kodiaq built and sitting awaiting finishing. They had to get the things shifted eventually and that is what has happened. They shifted lots in the beginning of 2021 also. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/491718-most-popular-skoda-model-2020 PPS. As to the Cygnet well that is a subject i have posted on lots having had a Toyota iQ at the same period as they were launched.
  15. Is it the revs at 2,500 rpm for 20 seconds that it can not hold? Is that what you mean as 'idle above 1,700? https://ncts.ie/media/wiwmmcpc/nct-manual-june-2021.pdf
  16. There is no BS with Octane. The BS is extra detergents. As to ethanol I have had cars that just love the stuff. If the car or anyone's pocket does not benefit from using super unleaded then no need to use it. Some might be fine buying E5 at Super Market filling stations that costs no more than E10 at a BP, Shell, Gulf, Texaco etc. Plenty have no choice and need to just buy fuel. Whatcar / Autocar, Autoexpress have had long enough now to do 2021 testing. The tester of choice the UK Government use is part owned by Autocar / What car,s owners anyway. It would be a service to the UK's population to give the actual figures on emissions reduction if there is any with E10 over E5, and also to let the public in if it does mean more fuel used so more Road Tanker and Shipping Tanker trips moving & delivering more road fuels. Or is it going to ultimately put older cars off the road or just doing less miles. Testing like this that Teco PLC had done. 388380a097b04fe693a8c27db8bb4974 (1).pdf 6ca06d648b9541e78fa838fece4a1a23 (1) (1).pdf EDIT> ............................................................................................... 2021 E5 97/99 ron Super Unleaded in the UK. petrol.pdf
  17. Odd as they referred to Premium as 95 Ron in the past and not the Super. BP and Royal Dutch Shell certainly know how to add premium to the cost of super unleaded over unleaded in comparison to what Tesco, Sainsbury take over the price of 95 unleaded to get 99 or 97 Ron.
  18. What brand is that and what Ron of super unleaded?
  19. If self seal tyres it is not liquid it is gooey and firmly stuck to the inside of the tyres I'm the tread area and not far up the sidewalls.
  20. They are not going to get caught out again and pay fines because of missing the low emissions average required. They are not stupid & not get to the figure required before too many higher emissions vehicles get FIRST REGISTERED. VW might cheat and were caught but VORSPRUNG DURCH TECHNIK. Learn to cheat within the rules. Not a theory, a mission after dropping Das Auto and going to 'Honesty is the best policy'. https://www.electrive.com/2021/01/15/volkswagen-adds-ev-makers-to-co2-pool-with-saic/ Not only Enyaq. Plug in and mild hybrids and the lowest emission vehicles were getting given priority. VW Group never had enough ID3 or ID4's produced and there were not that many Enyaq. They got out the 400 Citigo-e to the UK late 2020 and e-Ups, Mii iV etc. Also whatever GTE/ iV's they could. The point being that VW Group do not show thousands of Euro / Yen / Dollar profit on their VW's, Audi, SEAT & Skoda, because they do not make many thousands of profit on the vehicles. You could just look at facts & VW dodging a bullet in 2020 because they missed the Average Emissions and could have been fined more. They are not making the same mistake in 2021. http://industryeurope.com/sectors/transportation/eu-hits-vw-with-100m-in-fines-after-missed-emissions-targets
  21. In the UK the petrol is 'Unleaded' (95 ron min) which is now E10 or 'Super-Unleaded' 97 or 99 ron minimum. The term Premium is usually a Diesel / Derv term. Using Premium or Supreme as in a reference to Petrol as in this video is just a confusion. http://youtube.com/watch?v=
  22. Re Speed reduction devices on roads. Speed bumps that can be taken at the same speed or close to the speed as the road they are on are a failure in design or placement surely. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_bump It can be a PITA to nearby residents if those with noisy exhausts accelerate between speed bumps.
  23. Many Kodiaqs were sitting there built, as where other models & they need finished and shifted ASAP anyway. They were making sure the lowest emission vehicles were first registered where they could be to ensure not being too high with average emissions. The number of MG Motors built and First Registered matter to the VW Group since they partnered with them to have the kidology of the low emission figures from MG being in the numbers with the VW Groups. I think the idea people have on the profit per vehicle is far from the actual amounts. They have a lovely lifestyle and earnings in the VW Management and investors and lots of costs so that there are not so much profits showing to be paying tax on. Lots of people making lots of money and many less and others less still but the money spreads around and it all comes out of the pot to make the profits look small and te tax liability even smaller. Billions and billions of turnover and the business is much like a Pyramid Selling Scheme. Keep turning out something and keep generating money even if fined Billions for cheating. They are in the business of smoke and mirrors and governments allowing them to take the pith. VW Group are in the finance business / money lending & it is other countries like Qatar's wealth fund that supports it all. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qatar_Investment_Authority https://uk.motor1.com/news/440495/vw-lost-money-porsche-made-2020
  24. It could be rolled back and remapped if it was the cause of the way it is performing, but means you paying to have that done.

Those going EV and getting a home charger & looking for cheap charging really need to check that theit Energy Provider will let them go on a 'low tariff charging rate' as many have closed this to only people already with them and no new applicants. Checking you can change to another with a good deal on EV charging is most important. Some are asking ridiculous amounts for the standard daytime and even for the EV rate. My tariff will go to the lowest available on January when my bargain deal ends. I will be paying 20 pence a kWh at home I expect until any further increases in April or later comes about. There is a big difference charging overnight & getting it for 4.5 or 5 pence a kWh or having to pay 20 pence and higher per kWh at home. When public charging with the Enyaq and getting 25 pence a kWh at Ionity is pretty good but the cost is going up at BP Pulse, InstaVolt and likely others. The Charge Place Scotland Chargers in the Highland Region at 30 pence a kWh are not that reliable. http://autoexpress.co.uk/product-group-tests/355362/best-electric-car-friendly-energy-tariffs-2021 https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilities/ev-energy-tariffs/ https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/electric/how-much-ev-charging-and-running-cost
