  1. @VAGProf what tyres and what size are on your car?
  2. @Andy9-5. If no sticker in the boot assume nothing. A Skoda Dealership or Skoda might have said no Service Campaign action required as happened with some cars. There could have been mineral oil in at the factory at that particular build time. Or there was no sticker put in, as happened quite a lot. Or they were just wrong as has proven to be common. So basically you ask at a dealer of with Skoda. Was it done or should it have been done. Now if not done then leave well alone if the car drives well. The issue that required the world wide recall was known 9 years ago....

http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/475452-15-tsi-problem-sorted/page/2 Sometime all there is is anecdotal evidence. Getting the 'word' from Skoda, or dealership staff or salespeople with the special skill set required to stay employed is not enough. Honesty is the best policy, and sometimes admitting there are problems and they will really try their best to resolve them at no cost or inconvenience to the customers or they will buy back the faulty models would be correct thing to do.
  4. @Andy9-5 There is no Servicing or oil changes in the manufacturers guidelines or schedule for a DQ200 DSG getting an oil change. There are 2 oils. But, likely the car has had one sometime from May 2014 when a Service Campaign was started in Europe, which was not part of the World Wide Recall not being in the world. So '34F7' had the Synthetic Oil filled at the factory changed to mineral oil and a software update done. If done there should be a sticker in the Spare Tyre well with '34F7' on it and a date and a dealers stamp. The car might well be into D7 by 45 mph or so.
  5. Using a good Mobile EV Mechanic might be what is 'simply clever' for people who own keepers.
  6. @MarkK74 Welcome. With the VIN you can check if the Fix is still outstanding. So no new Engine Management applied and a Flo Device fitted to the air intake. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions If done it can be rolled back and a remap done. If done someone might have already done that. You can check the Air Intake to see if the Flo Device is still there.
  7. Sales staff are about dealing with enquiries in dealerships in Scotland while their branch might be closed to the public. Click and collect etc are on the go. There might well be someone near your area that deals with enquiries if they think there is a sale possible.
  8. @Ianhudson Welcome to the forum. Best you check the current situation with whoever you might be considering to supply the car. They will know what allocation they are getting, and might have an idea on the latest from the factory on any delays due to the microchip shortage or other reasons.
  9. @Stan44 That will very much depend on the ambient temperature in Barbados at the time, and the temperature of the oil at the time it is put in the gearbox. Is the ATF sitting at 25*oC or higher, or maybe at around freezing?
  10. ? Is the issues that some had with their vehicles totally fixed? That is for anyone that did have issues and still have that car.

Actually a software update or even more than 1 software update has not resolved the issue with all 1.5 TSI that had an issue. That means maybe a small number might have issues that a short drive in parts of the UK at April temps might not show. The relevant thing is talking about a issue that might affect a car out of manufacturers warranty that many at dealership and Skoda denied ever existed. Buyer beware. PS, worth reading the Thread covering the issue where members had the cars with issues, some who never had them resolved or still do not. The few with cars that had problems know more about dealing with Skoda UK and dealership staff then those with fault free models.
  12. @ this date in time that is 'simply clever' thinking from Porsche.
  13. Aa just paid my £20 for card renewal! But then have had loads of electricity at no cost and will continue to wherever possible.
  14. It is handy to be told what engine the car has and with what size wheels / tyres.
  15. @1963Malc What is the extent of the work being done, is it all the doors and just the doors?
  16. @1963Malc What is your cars paint, Solid or Metallic & what colour?
  17. Guest_ replied to Gonzague's topic in Skoda Karoq
? Are they Manual or DSG's? What mileage are the other 2 cars?

Welcome. Avoid the 2018 1.5TSI out of the Manufacturers Warranty.
  19. @Cole. What tyres are on the car and what size? Also, what pressure where they at when you got the car and what pressure are you trying them at now?
