Sorry but on a phone I can not see if anything in your signature. So is it a diesel or petrol and what engine.
  2. @AviationNut The last 1,328cc 85ps Suzuki Jimny can tow a 1,300 kg braked trailer. While the 1.4TSI 180ps Twincharger DSG Fabia vRS was not given Tow Weights, the sister cars with 1.,4 TSI Twinchargers / DSG's From VW, Seat & Audi could and can tow. (Skoda even put Ballast Weights of 25kg on the nearside of the rear crash bar.)
  3. You need that in writing from the underwriter and the broker, because who you spoke to are wrong. A Bike Rack & carrier fitment is a very different thing from a Tow Bar used to tow when a car has no 'Manufacturers provided tow weights'. The Grey area has always existed in C&U Regs and Type Approval. Some for Tow Bars for recovery of vehicles. (Not advised!) This is about the Karoq that can not legally tow.
  4. Bump for a member posting in the Superb section.
  5. The screenshot from TPS on DSG servicing is in threads on DQ380 and DQ381 servicing intervals and posts about the 80,000 miles interval. I can not post the link just now but can bump a thread. EDIT. Bumped it in the Octavia Mk3 section. Skoda fixed price service and maintenance has the DSG service over £200 these days. (£215) It can cost less and some charge more.
  6. Fitting a towbar and ball and then using the car to tow when it is not approved to tow is an issue with the Insurers and the Police. Many do it and might never have an issue if not involved in an accident while towing or stopped at Roadside checks with the DVSA and Police. Professional / companies that are Towbar fitters know the law as far as them fitting towbars to vehicles without the Approval to tow. Edit. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/429261-dont-buy-a-201718-150ps-4wd-7-seat-if-you-tow This is the Kodiaq that can not legally tow on the Public Highway. Just the same as Fabia vRS & Mk2 Fabia vRS.
  7. 7 seat manual box Kodiaq. As in a link a few posts up. There is an example of a Karoq that also is not as approved for towing. Tow bars / balls can be fitted for carrying cycle racks.
  8. Fingers crossed that the Dealership & Skoda UK can get you a car suitable for your needs. If the version of car as built and sold really has no approval to tow then they will need to replace the car. If the Dealership Employees and Skoda UK do not know there are versions of the car that can not have a towbar fitted for towing or is illegal to tow with then that is a serious situation for Skoda UK & Dealerships. People including sales were caught out with this one. There were customers that were landed with unsuitable vehicles and their will be buyers of used vehicles caught out with something not suitable for them when they can not tow. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/429261-dont-buy-a-201718-150ps-4wd-man-7-seat-if-you-tow
  9. It happens with various models. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/416477-cracked-panoramic-roof-update http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/483672-panoramic-roof-crack http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/474300-panoramic-roof-crack
  10. No need to be in 'P' with the front wheels locked having gone through N and Reverse, if you can just be in 'N' and have stop start enabled or not and the Parking Brake on. That is if you do not have 'Autohold' and you can stop in D with 'autohold' functioning. Stop / start on or not. No need to go to 'N'. or 'P'. Remember that some cars held with 'Autohold' have the brake lights on and some do not.
  11. For the sake of an hours labour and oils best not gamble & be sure the correct work has been done.. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/447657-rear-differential-destroyed-help-please http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/428562-rear-diff-failure-following-haldex-oil-change http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/356099-octavia-rear-differential-failure
  12. The threads are on here with the pics of holes in the rear diff where it has turned to shrapnel. Several threads including recent ones. Best get the Haldex checked. The pump removed and cleaned if not done and the correct fluid in. Then the rear diff oil changed. Just to be sure to be sure. ? What was the cost already of the Haldex Service. Or was that just included with the other labour cost. In the Yeti Guides section there is a very good guide to the Servicing of the Haldex, just so anyone can see what is required.
  13. @peeeturrrr Welcome to the forum. ? How many miles has the car done? In the 5 years you have had the Yeti what servicing has the Haldex had, is it just the once? Not the rear diff, but the haldex. ie, & What year was the 40,000 mile Haldex Service done? It should have been serviced in 2016 or 2017, and if first @2017 then serviced again in 2020? The service interval is @ 3 years / 30,000 miles, but before that it was said by Skoda Dealership staff as being at 4 years. Some even said @ 40,000 miles. Best ask at the Dealership which hole they say the technician used to top up the diff.
  14. Every job in a workshop can take hours, days or weeks when they faff about with all the gear and no idea or even have the car sitting around with nothing getting done. With Software Updates it is not that involved with a trained technician getting an alternative power source on the car, get plugged in and do the necessary. Get wired in to the job and not their mate 🤠
  15. They might expect them not to sell but there are ones ordered. To get your £2,500 paid to the Dealer not you then you need to stay below the £35,000. There are orders in from buyers in Scotland to get the interest free deal from the Scottish Government. For anyone wanting a VW ID3 and they can order from Motability there are great offers for low Advance Payments. The Enyaq might be on the list soon.

Spoiled by getting a top of the range car. Robert was so enthusiastic about VW e-Up! & the Seat Mii electric but ignored that there was the Citigo iV while being available at a lower price at the time and for a short time.

What a shame Skoda CZ could not get right hand drive cars to Milton Keynes for the Motoring Journalists to drive so that we could see what they say about using the touch screen & physical buttons with their left hand. The tail gate is automatic after touching a button, that is not like swinging your foot under the arse. I want to know the possible range with all seats full of average weight adults, and bikes on the roof or on a rear bike carrier. Knowing what the official range or estimated one with just one person in a SUV sized car is really just that. I
  18. Entry level under £35,000 then get the £2,500 Government Grant in the UK.
  19. @cmh Welcome to the forum. ? Are you looking for something other than in the 1st post of this thread & the PDF? It is there when you are signed in. Yeti Panoramic Roof Leak.pdf
  20. Software is so easy that VW thought they could have it done in-house. They were so wrong. They should get back the people that designed their Emissions Cheat to sort out the mess they have got themselves in. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/484705-kphmph/page/18 http://insideevs.com/news/451790/vw-id3-multiple-bugs-mind-the-explenation

Have Skoda been simply clever and made the washer fluid bottle and pipes and nozzles heated when the car is being pre-heated. Frozen washer fluid / pipes / nozzles are such a PITA with EV,s. The washer bottle in the cabin would make sense. Even like built in the driver's door as and then the pipes up to the scuttle and then to the exterior.
  22. @KeteCantek you will find 280,s with high mileage like the one that started this thread. That is because there are drivers doing high miles with them and not all are private low miles use like yours is. No idea why you would try arguing that it makes no sense doing what people are doing. So as I said there are 280,s used for Airport Transport and Private Hire in Scotland. That is city to airport transport and even some weddings, funerals etc. It makes no sense sitting keeping warm with some clattering diesel with DPF,s and also not having a nice car for your private / family use. Minus temps nights and mornings still in parts of the North still as it has been since September. The UK is not all as it is in the South East. Some know the price of everything and the value of it. Comfort at work being one of those things. You keep engines running because you want a warm interior. As to EV,s there are Tesla running as Private Hire and Taxi,s in Scotland. Then various EV,s in fleets like in Dundee. Also MPV EV,s used which can be WAV,s. Horses for courses. PS I am sitting charging now and there is one MG estate taxi charging and there is a Leaf taxi just left. Neither of which I expect do any Corporate Contracts where VIP,s expect a nice roomy and comfortable car to arrive. Maybe a Merc or Audi but a Superb might surfice.
  23. Used oil so WVO and new oil can be used for Private use. You keep your records of amount like under 2,500 litres annually and you check closely what the rules are with HMRC. Plenty info on that if anyone cares to check that out. For new veg oil then that is where duty will be due
