Still thinking about selling Yeti.....?
The 'City SUV segment in which the Kamiq is leading in according to Skoda. The only one offering AWD is the MINI Countryman.

Kamiq review - short and sweet
So lets be honest. Those mentioned have AWD. A Subaru XV with 220mm ground clearance and AWD is a Soft Roader, and very good for that. We know what it is similar to by opening our eyes. 170 mm ground clearance really is not a 'raised ride height' it is just the difference between Ooo and Ahhh! (182,183 or 188 mm if you get a Kamiq with that ground clearance is a bit of a Raised ride height.) There is from 'Skoda' Media Department, "With a total ground clearance of 188 mm the Skoda Kamiq is setting the new benchmark in the City SUV segment' ie for driving on potholed roads. Examples of 'City SUV's'

Any Citigo-e IV user
Skoda or VW Group can make up any story about why they big upped the Citigo iV for so long and then knew very well they would only import 400 to the UK. They had to get something turned out eventually. They imported new Octavia to the UK with faulty software just to be able to have the average C02 figures required with cars first registered. VW did the same with ID.3's. The UK is taken that seriously that they have only left hand drive Enyaq Media cars in the UK.

Tdi cool off time
No. The stop / start was introduced by engineers who know what the engine requires. The fans and coolant pump works when required if the engine / cooling system needs cooling when stopped & ignition off. Low temperature differences between heating required and ambient temp, high load on the battery etc will disable / inhibit stop start. A car with the engine / gearbox running within the normal operating temps even in summer does not disable / inhibit stop / start.

Kamiq review - short and sweet
Lets be honest, the Kamiq is not by any stretch of the imagination a SUV, a Crossover or a Soft roader. It is a family size hatchback with a slightly higher roof height and not particularly good ground clearance and no AWD option. The Advertising people might like to include the Kamiq as part of Skoda's SUV range.

Cruise control/driving slowly?
There is a system that helps. Those cars with the 'offroad' function / button.

Cruise control/driving slowly?
Some expert ! Observation of the posts in the thread might be a good start to a discussion. Try walking at 5mph and then at 8mph and the difference is very obvious. Try walking @ 5 km/h and then 8km/h.

Remap, big improvement.
They came in 70, 85 and 105 ps. After 2017 there was Service Campaign 34H5 started on DQ200 DSG,s from 2013 to 2015. This was a software update. This is different from 34F7 on DQ200,s from 2009 to 2012 which was synthetic oil changed to mineral and a software update

Cruise control/driving slowly?
@whitevx. You will have noticed that it was mph being discussed and not km/h.

Surely your intense driving is not much above 80 mph and the ambient temp not much over 25*oC even around Sunny South Ayrshire. Your turbo deals pretty good with the car coming to a halt and you switching off the ignition without the need to sit idling, and the engine dealing with the cooling. You will hear the fan and pump when they are required.- Cruise control/driving slowly?
@whitevx The owners /management likely want to cover their backsides and can say to anyone acting like a d!ck that they are going too fast. Most people know buy looking at a vehicle if it is just ticking over and keeping to a low speed. What you go on a track at as a speed and what you drive across the grass at might be rather different. Really slow if it requires driving between other spaces to get to yours. I do not think i have ever seen a posted speed less than 10 mph and that is a speed that many on a push bike might exceed. I like signs like 'Slow Children'. which is a shame. Or 'Slow the animals can not read'.- Delivery Delays
? Are the build and delivery delays not to do with the global shortage of semiconductor chips? Which might or might not be because of the pandemic, or in some cases because of a ship that that blocked the Suez Canal.- Cruise control/driving slowly?
Nobody really thinks it would be or needs to think about prosecution. The site owner might just ask a customer or visitor to reduce their speed, or even to not be a customer and bog off. They might have some T&C in their bookings.- Advice on trade-in value.
Look at what similar cars have as asking price from dealers or traders on Autotrader. It will less than that. Get WBAC offer and want more than that from the dealer as they will be offering less than WBAC knowing they can punt your car to then if needs must. ? Is it not worth advertising on Briskoda for a private sale?- Cruise control/driving slowly?
If a private land / caravan and camping site owner wants to post a 5mph max speed limit they can. Even if many find it difficult to keep such a low speed with a solo vehicle or one towing the driver's have surely been given notice that they need to drive really really slowly. If they have an issue then maybe that is not the place for them to go.- Cruise control/driving slowly?
If 1st was too slow and 2nd gear was too fast then surely that would be the same if the cruise control was functioning. 5mph is slow, usually below the speed that the doors will autolock which is at 6mph.- Cruise control/driving slowly?
You would be best trying then if CC operated, or see if the anti-stall is enough if keeping a steady foot is an issue.- Kamiq Towbar or not to Towbar
Welcome to the forum. Sorry no idea with the Kamiq, but be sure you get what ever information in writing from a dealership or Skoda UK before buying or ordering, and if a used car you want to check the plate on the towing limits for a Braked Trailer. This is a new Octavia. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/492496-planning-to-tow-with-a-new-car-beware- Cruise control/driving slowly?
When my nearest and dearest are at caravan parks or any such place with gravel tracks and grass i do hope that drivers have full control of their vehicles and are paying particular attention to just touching the accelerator and are ready to apply the brakes.- Auto DSG high cost repair - please help!!!
The cost has come down of the components and there are places that can do the repairs required with MCU's. There are Main Dealerships that put the work out to specialists. My friends experience was a rather sad one and much expense was the outcome. Luckily his cars is still on the road. Just be sure of using competent and trained techs or mechanics. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/444617-7sp-dq200-dsg-failure http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/478695-dsg-issues- Air Filter
@JimHhttp://briskoda.net/forums/topic/492135-fabia-red-air-box I never bumped the thread for me, as i posted for the OP on the above thread i bumped for them.- Any Citigo-e IV user
What a load of Bull **** on taking cars to Milton Keynes to the technical department and the VW Group Engineers. They have their own vehicles to do actual work on where ever they wish to. They can send out VW Technicians to Dealerships with all the gear and more of an idea.- Auto DSG high cost repair - please help!!!
@Stuart2021 was the Dq200 DSG in your car part of the service campaign 34F7 started in 2014 on cars from 2009-2012. The synthetic oil changed to mineral and a software update? There should be a sticker in the spare tyre well if done. Worth having the clutch packs replaced if that is all that is required IMO. Just use a trusted place to do it. One with all the gear and more than just ideas. ? How many miles has your car done?- KPH/MPH
@fossman Best if your contact is with Skoda UK who imported the car other than some business that used to be reviewing cars etc and after going bust is now under new ownership & just about selling cars and is part owned by the VW group. - Tdi cool off time
