emission control system faulty
Has your car had servicing recently, and has it had new spark plugs yet? You need someone to plug in and read the fault codes if any. Someone that knows what they are looking at & not just clearing any codes if there are any.

emission control system faulty
Welcome. What engine? and is it a light on, a message or has someone read fault codes? You will need to get the cars fault codes read to start with. If you have just a Warning Message / EPC or Engine light on it can be as simple as spark plugs & misfires if a petrol, or a sensor, or just the petrol and maybe sitting ticking over too long as some point. If a diesel it can be anything as well.

the truth about electric cars
@Dieselgate Eon Next asked me yesterday if i was interested in a new Trial Scheme and moving from the 12 Months fixed V5 Drive with the 6.7 pence a kWh 12am -7pm. They will credit £30 to my account. It looked when i read it on my phone as though it is a charge when standard day tariffs if needed or offered. I applied anyway and am waiting for them to get back to me exactly trial / pilot is exactly. 33 kWh worth of charging getting 3.3 miles a kWh is 109 miles. What i am getting for £2.21.

Video regarding insurance claims - Graham Butcher?
My Mums car was in an Accident as she reversed into my car as she was taking it down for it's first service at 1 year old. I had arranged the insurance. But on the wrong registration number. The number plate on the front was SP06 JJO and the rear one was ST06 JJO and i had not noticed until reporting the accident. £1,000 damage to the rear. The insurance were ok about the error. I had driven the car for a year and never noticed. When i was going to collect the car the front plate was clear to see and yet i never noticed they plates never matched. EDIT. PS. Actually i did not arrange the Insurance other than giving our Names , Ages etc. The car was bought cash money and came with Insurance and Servicing & me as Keeper and my mum as a named driver. (Because of her age and them actually insuring her. 99 now so 80 then.) They First Registered and did the insurance.

Did Nissan lease batteries? I thought that was Renault. EDIT, I see they did / do. Now I could have got caught out buying one from a man in the betting shop.

the truth about electric cars
@wyx087 has a Nissan Leaf. EV,s were very expensive vehicles to buy new or slightly used until recently and are only now becoming more proven as to which are reliable or less likely to be a money pit as far as repairs. There are ones I would not touch with a barge pole like from Stellantis no matter how cheap. As it is I still do not intend buying an EV as a replacement for an ICE I am going to be retiring. I have no mates that are EV technicians or any Independent EV garages near. I could not work on them.

the truth about electric cars
TheMacMaster is filling his boots or just the battery @39 pence a kWh and getting views / clicks and then all the more to spend on buying Drinks when he does. All while making fun of those that have a flask and sandwich box. in 75,000 miles of charging EV,s out and about, over 60,000 of that at Public chargers i have sat in someplace to have food and a drink maybe 5 times when travelling alone and about the same because a passenger wanted to. I do actually eat in places when travelling in vehicles and when with people or meeting people, grandchildren etc. Just not a habit when charging, and as it is it is only really since getting the MINI that i use chargers where there is someplace to eat or drink as when charging was free around Scotland it was just in some car park maybe near shops or near nothing, especially not toilets.

the truth about electric cars
When a car is getting near 200 miles from 100% then to 80% that is just 160 miles. Ok if you are just going that or want another song and dance about the next charge stop. getting to 90% and 180 miles might be Simply Clever. *As it is depending where you charged 98% might do or even 95% , if you are going to be getting regen when you leave a charger, like you went up someplace to charge, and then you are going down for a few miles. * The low battery charging speed is just a minute or so to ramping up. Pre heat for arrival or just arrive. @Stonekeeper Have you done much public charging while on the go yet, and how much range does your car show with a full battery?

- 1.6 tdi what to look out for.
Obviously not all cars had issues, and the Peace of mind 2 year guarantee from VW Group saved some with cars that were ruined, and some just got shot of the cars. Some had The Fix rolled back, and removed the flow device.- the truth about electric cars
Easy use cameras if you get one of the point and shoot one and instant results, replaceable batteries or rechargeable, maybe a lead needed to plug into another device if no Bluetooth but as long as not to many settings just child's play. Like EV,s really, which is much like an Electric Kart or even a dodgem. No electricity no go. Added complexity maybe rather than just kept simple.- Are you new here?
Welcome to the forum. Confused by Central Scotland being cold and dark and you getting a Graphite Grey car. But at least you never got a white one so that it gets lost in Snow drifts.- is buying a used ev more risky than buying a used ice ?
@lol-lol has the car actually done 275 miles on a full battery?- 1.6 tdi what to look out for.
Did the owner let Skoda / VW do the Emissions fix on it? Or did they maybe wisely say no! New engine management and the Air Flow device in the Air Filter intake pipe. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-campaigns- is buying a used ev more risky than buying a used ice ?
If there were more larger cars that are 5 seats and luggage, or 7 seats and luggage that families might need and want in the UK but without the manufacturers building faster and more sporty handling and concentrate on maybe 100 mph / 161 kmph top speeds with safe and comfortable handling & efficiency on UK roads. Affordable and efficient tyres / sizes. So smaller, medium sized and larger cars that are just transportation & not stylee or sporty over being practical. It looks like there are more coming that will be like that and FAMILY cars for PRIVATE owners might get priced under £40,000 in the UK.- is buying a used ev more risky than buying a used ice ?

Thanks, I did think the Tesla might be more efficient at the pre-heating. As to others, pay for more kWh to get charging and taking less time charging. 'Time being money for some', and for others, maybe 'who cares how much charging costs'. I see plenty that do not care about paying £1 a minute over the 40 or 50 minutes max charging time, not just in prestige cars, but ones in ordinary EV cars or works vans. Even not bothered at a £30 penalty once over 60 minutes.- Porsche Taycan
A driver / vlogger that has shown elsewhere that he knows how to drive economically over long distances in various vehicles including diesels.- the truth about electric cars
? Serious question, as i do not know. How much does the indicated miles per kWh drop as you Pre-Heat the battery to be getting to a charger to charge quicker? Do you use extra energy and then have to make that back up, so as you come to a halt the car shows less range to the battery percentage? ie can you be getting 2.4 miles a kWh, and pre-heat and get to the charger and the car shows you were getting just 2.1 miles a kWh.?- the truth about electric cars
He always seem to fart about before charging but setting up the camera and then starting charging is supposed by his timing about 4 minutes from stopping at the charge place. Except when having issues. £4-5 a coffee every charge up if getting only over 200 miles a charge adds up. Add pastries and what you get are fat lumps driving fat lumps of cars. OEM Summer (All seasons as in the UK, but not ALL-SEASON) Tyres as on a Porsche for Sporty driving start with not great tread depths. All-Season tyres would make sense for such canny driving, and worriers about getting in or out of charger bays if the is some UK winter weather. More tread depth to start with and you are only doing UK nSL,s while filming yourself. Phone Apps let you see when the car is charged or how much charged, it is muppets that just go and do not bother to get back and unlugged. If you need the Range then charging to 100% is not an issue, but if others are waiting and you can get away with Slash and Dashes, or you are in Charger Heaven then going to 100% might well take extra time, and there can be all chargers working with all cars charging slow in the last 10% to 100%. Plenty charge and work on their laptop, phone etc. Bloggers could sit and talk to their followers about the last video. Saying things like 'People are not speaking about the high VED over £40,000' Well maybe look online, people have been talking about it.- the truth about electric cars
The MacMasters comment about 22 kW speed at 95% battery is strange. To me with a battery nearly 1/3 the size of his with a max speed of 50 kW charging i might get 11 kW at 90% and 6-7 kW indicated at 95%. The Taycan is only about 900 kG more than the old MINI Electric. The MINI,s efficiency seems poor, but so is the Porsche. Pathetic really for a built from a clean sheet BEV. As to Indicated range. Even with a Heat Pump. If you have the AC on while charging then the Possible range can show low, even lower than you might get even with the AC on all the time. It is worth looking when Charged or charging the difference the car guess,s with or without the AC enabled. Personally it is 10% or more less range with AC on when charging. Actually when driving i do put on AC occasionally, that is to de-mist the windscreen. Then there is differences with various BEV,s as to keeping the inside glass clear when there are passengers or not. As to trucking about in a high performance EV on your Jack Jones and not getting great efficiency or much cheapness that is just how it can be with a Porsche / Audi and maybe Mercs / Jags.- Skoda Recall Website
http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-campaigns Even when your VIN does work that is no guarantee that all Recall Campaigns, Recall Actions, Works Shop Actions or even full DVLA Safety Critical Recalls will show. - 1.6 tdi what to look out for.
