Reset Oil Change Service
They need to get the Master Tech doing it, and changing the Service Record as the car is not getting a Oil Service. Or if they changed it without permission before hand over they can pay for the Oil Change, for being chancers.

the truth about electric cars
Who are the 'We being told to drive off straight away'? Maybe drive away at 98% and not lose Regen Braking as you do in some BEV,s if at 100%. Pre heating for 30 minutes is a bit much. Even in freezing weather 10 minutes is more than enough. Is that the Cabin heating or Pre-heating the battery?

Reset Oil Change Service
Welcome. To keep the Car owned by the Lease Companies Service History a Main Dealership should reset it since the Supplying Dealership changed it from Variable / Flexible servicing at the PDI to Fixed Oil & Filter regimes. If you were just at a Garage or even a dealership then really the Tech should know how to use the equipment or leave the car well alone. Was it actually a Motor Mechanic and not a VW Group trained Technician?

That rear diffuser is not going to meet EU Type Approval is it? Not even meet a IVA in the UK.

the truth about electric cars
Time that they were maybe marked down on Centre Screens / controls of small size symbols, out of reach of the finger tips of some drivers if seated for the steering wheel and pedals distance required. So they need to lean forward to get even basic adjustments to features in the car. As to the Bloggers / Vloggers and popular things like with Renault and one press to turn off the Speed Limit Warning. Even Harry Metcalfe shows him turning off in new vehicles with it. Stick to the Speed Limit. Hopefully the cars ECU is logging how often the Lane Keep Assist / Speed Limit Warnings are being turned off and how often the Speed Limit is exceeded and the Location from GPS and time etc. This can be used in the event of any Traffic Collisions or what used to be called accidents. The EV,s will even know how often Traction is lost and the cars systems intervene. That leads to 'Stop fitting unsuitable Tyres to UK Vehicles at the factory'.

Strange behaviour
Welcome. How many miles has the car done and when was servicing last done, spark plugs replaced or the air filter looked at and replaced if required? Take the car to a mechanic. Maybe before going there fill the tank with E5 Super Unleaded 97 or 99 ron petrol if you are running E10 95 ron. Tesco Momentum, Sainsbury Super, Esso Super will do, no need for Shell V-Power nitro.

- Is it worth coming off Variable service to go All-in?
What are you getting done in this and the next Fixed Service? Are the spark plugs included this time? Was the brake fluid changed already or getting done this service or the next? Has the air filter been looked at let alone replaced? Will it get changed this time or next or not even looked at till 6 years old? Brakes servicing would be good, they are not doing that are they?- the truth about electric cars
People are not stopping travelling by car while train services / timetables are terrible and the cost of them. Then bus services have been cut in rural areas and not everyone is travelling city to city or to places on that routes. The weather might be changing but as to cycling out of towns and cities to commute by bike or on foot then lets see the MSP,s & Ministers doing that, they can claim a shoe expense. & get issued Hi-Viz gear identifying them so that the public can stop them to have a word about the cost of public transport.- the truth about electric cars
In Scotland there were 6 year interest free loans to buy new EV,s. Then that changed to Interest Free to buy Used Electric Vehicles. Currently closed to applications. There was an issue, The Administration and applications time to be processed and the car you wanted to purchase no longer being available because the useless office staff. Maybe working from home. I doubt they were snowed under with work...- My 2023 MINI Cooper S Level 3 Electric leased from Motability which will be with me for 3 years & now a 2021 MG5 as a dog wagon.

If one way 690 miles and getting 4 miles a kWh that is 172.5 kWh. £100 then an average of 58 pence a kWh. Really? Return another £100. 3.5 miles a kWh is 197 kWh, 50 pence a kWh. There and back? Really 1,380 miles for 25 pence a kWh, £100 !!!- Yeti owner here. Just to sayI had a look at a Karoq in the showroom today.
'Hardness' is the issue. It is durability and resistance to chips & marks that matter, Soft paint and hard paint are terms used. It is about the paint (undercoat) under the colour coats and the lacquer / gloss coat. Paint might chip but you are not through to metal and touching in is just the colour and not needing to rust inhibit. When i was painter the Orange peel type finish of a New Ford or Mercedes really showed the amount of paint there was applied and when repairing or doing a respray you were replicating the factory finish. Even now check out paint on some new Fords & Mercedes in a showroom and the not mirror finish paint even polished and as well lit as you are likely to find. Even BMW,s in Solid or Metallics can look like the have 'thick' paint. That does not guarantee being 'Chip proof'. Look at the Dacia paint on some of the cars. Prepped and paint / protection to last. Like LR Defenders now, but with them you can pay for the option of the car being wrapped. The satin look vehicles.- Vehicle Warranties
@daveo138 What are you getting, engine / gearbox and how many miles has it done and is there a detailed service history, showing what actually was being done?- Yeti owner here. Just to sayI had a look at a Karoq in the showroom today.
Many a Yeti suffered from the 'Zinc Inclusion' issue, as did some VW models. An issue with the manufacturing on certain shifts in the factories. VW Group / Skoda new when and where the issues in the factory happened and yet often Skoda UK made owners jump through hoops to get things sorted. That was the cheap way repainting, and not the correct way as some got eventually, new panels.- Domestic charging points - A new social dividing line?
'Survey responders' you have to get your figures some way. Not necessarily a true representation of actuality.- Yeti owner here. Just to sayI had a look at a Karoq in the showroom today.
Mass market cars have water based paints and have for a long time so really that is not the issue.- Flat battery yesterday

Cutting nose off to spite your face are you not!- Old bottle of unused engine oil
Crude oil is refined and Synthetic oil is produced from a high quality base oil. Lovely if you can just take it out of the ground ready to use.- I am looking a getting a new Fabia 1.5 Monte Carlo Edition thoughts and concerns please?
1.0 TSI 3 cylinders will very likely still be going along just fine longer than 1.5 TSI ACTs have started costing owners money at techs that can work on them.- New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..
