EV real world range and cost to charge
@wyx087 They should be efficient being the lightest and lowest but my one certainly was not and that was the smaller battery so lighter. That was why i went for it. It did have 17" wheels / tyres and not the narrower 16". (And i had All Seasons or winter tyres on.) It was not good the first week i had it on the Primacy 4,s it came with. So i seriously doubt what it shows there. Maybe the more power helped and they changed how they regen with the bigger battery. The efficient Stallantis car back 2 years ago was the Citroen C4 on 18" wheels. I tried one and it was easy to get more miles per kWh.

Report the Issue to the garage tomorrow. Just incase you need to have them do work under warranty. Likely you will. When was the cam belt and water pump changed according to any history?

New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
No way should that be required on a new car. It took the early cars from around 2018 with a GPF till about Covid times to have issues and high RPM etc, other than the odd 1.0 TSI Octavia owner that mentioned it on here.

Boot Torch not working?
@zer081 Is it a 'Rechargeable' battery in the torch in your car?

I just watched the CarGuru vid again and see said 255 miles. It is just pick a number any number. 52 kw/h @ 4.9 miles to a kWh. I am getting a Road Test when a car available. Choice of Dealership being Arnold Clark Dundee or Parks Hamilton at Brechin. Roads right outside Brechin best to see just how many miles a kWh it does on higher pressure tyres.- The next generation MINI Cooper Electric 2024 & MINI Aceman 2024/25 pics & Videos.

http://cargurus.co.uk/Cars/articles/most-efficient-electric-cars- Yeti seats
Get an upholsterer that does Vehicles to rebuild seats to suit you if keeping the car. Or buy other seats from a Model of Yeti that is comfortable if you find any that will be better than you have.- Correct oil for my Superb?
@daddio65 what non- approved Tesco junk was it? Not just the to VW 504 00 / 507 00 5w 30 FS III they sell for petrol or diesel VW / Porsche etc? Where do Tesco buy Junk oil from,,? Which oil producer produces it? ? Why was someone not getting to the correct spec be it on a VW Approved list or not? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/479648-tesco-engine-oil-bargains Personally i have more trust in Tesco PLC than i do in VW GROUP UK Franchised Main Dealerships and Workshop employees.- New Renault 5 EV

Simples. 3 spark plugs not 4 and the Dealership should not charge the same price for 3 as 4, but they do. Just do not pay Main Dealership prices if there is an Independent that actually Services cars and not just looks and sees, and often see,s nothing but an Up-Selling opportunity. ? Has the Air Filter been looked at. Low miles is fine, but 5 years old is 5 years old.- New Renault 5 EV
@lol-lol do you use your brakes with an EV even if there are no Regen paddles or shifter with B or whatever. I never ever brake into corners even nipping on and never have, but then having only one foot it is what suits me. I lift off and then accelerate round bends. Coming to a stop is the only time i use the brake pedal. Or it would be an emergency stop. PS I can not use Launch Control on cars that require hold the brake and the accelerator and then releasing the brake pedal.. PPS. Cordless rechargable tyre pressure inflator and torch is great. Check pressures, adjust. Simple. More of these Vloggers need to adjust tyres pressures I think. Or check them. £13.- New Renault 5 EV
^^^ He reads out very different WLTP Figures than Rory Reid gave on the Autotrader video. He said 40 kWh battery 193. 52 kWh 293 miles. Then said 4.8 miles a kWh 'they say' which is 192 & 250 miles. 'In the damp, in the wet getting a bit of wheel spin, loving that'. B0llocks, All-Season tyres on and wheel spin yes, loving it??? OEM Tyres will be a ninsense.- Yeti seats
Welcome. Different Yeti have different seats, so what trim of Yeti have you? Leather or cloth, manual or DSG & how tall are you? The car is 10 year old, are the seats still in good condition?- Porsche Macan EV on a Topspeed spy shoot
Efficiency a joke even running Summer / Sports tyres in colder weather, if it is that cold. The electronics needing to work overtime to keep the power under control and maintain traction. Not even succeeding when the car is being giving some. Back ends sliding out might just be for videos and to show just how the car can go, but in real world and real drivers you are not 'ultimate drivers it is just a car sliding about. When you see one coming at you looking out of control it is you that needs to make sure you are avoiding the muppet. Year round in the UK maybe appropriate tyres are needed. 2nd Video. IMO a proper car reviewer. Knows about driving and the real world and money. Not some influencer for the Car Manufacturers or Dealers. The Low Speed Pedestrian warning with new EV,s, not that new is not an Option, and those should not be capable of being 'turned off'.- Cigarette Lighter Location
- I am looking a getting a new Fabia 1.5 Monte Carlo Edition thoughts and concerns please?
The 1.5 TSI is not just a 4 cylinder petrol engine it is a TSI ACT. Active Cylinder Technology. Audi 1.5 TFSI COD / Cylinder on demand. OK as long as they are OK, and fine if those replacing the Cam Belt have all the gear and more than ideas. Same as everything else really.- DSG Oil Change
- the truth about electric cars
@Luckypants Do you not have the options to set the stuff like Heated Seats / Heated Steering wheel to come on at your chosen Ambient temp as the MINI Countryman can? I had to chose driving one as 'A guest' because the regular driver had them come on even if it was well above freezing temperatures. (It might have been 11*oC as it was shirt sleeve weather.)- Reset service counter
It is not the Oil Service light as came up last time, it is the Inspection Service which should have been set at the same time as the Oil Service Light. Not Service 1 year and Inspection the Next. Either set / reset to Fixed Service, 12 months / 372 days or to Variable / Flexible. 24 months / 18,000-20,000- ignition goes off quickly after driver door opening
Welcome. How far do you move away from the car? Is the key in your pocket? What if you leave it in the car? The e-Brake should be coming on when the seat belt is unfastened and the door is open so no longer Auto Hold holding it. It is a nice safety feature that might save lives where a driver gets distracted or careless.- New Renault 5 EV
UK built MINI Cooper Electrics do not have an 'Autohold' button if stopping at lights etc so keep the foot on the brake pedal, hold on the accelerator, or you need to apply the e-Brake or you do have 'P' though. @lol-lol The battery thing is interesting. a 40 kW lighter car has a WLTP 193 mile range, and the different battery type with just 12 kW more capacity in a heavier car can do 100 miles more. WLTP. (fiction.) 100 miles more for the 12 kWh, 8.3 miles a kWh. Nonsense. It will be interesting what a 52 kW battery car can do as in miles if it is only charged up to 40 kWh. Once they get Right Hand Drive ones on the OEM tyres they can maybe run them together and see. 193 divided by 40 is 4.8 miles a kWh 293 divided by 52 is 5.6 miles a kWh. Looks like nonsense from a heavier car even with a different battery type. Or is it the smaller battery lighter car is when tested under a WLTP Regime less efficient?- Hesitant engine response
How many miles has it done and has it had the spark plugs replaced and the air filter looked at or replaced?- the truth about electric cars
@lol-lol Or someone will explain about storing Lithium Batteries or others in anything not at Full or Empty. Ot just do a search. I have e-Bikes or the batteries out of them that have been sitting for a couple of years just below 100%. I charged the car last night for 7 hours at cheap tariff and turned off at 7 am and at 90%. Tonight i will charge to 100%. Usually i charge any car to 100% or to 98% if up a hill. But then i always park up cars with a full tank of fuel and always have. - New Renault 5 EV
