Whisky trail and visitor centres South of Inverness and next to A9. As is shooting, fishing, hunting with cameras. Off road driving, quads etc. All the tweed and tartan anyone ever needs is at House of Braur and falls of Bruar behind. Killicrankie. Pitlochry will be as nice as Highland Town as any selling tat. Road from there across to meet the A93, then A939 then back towards the sea and Inverness. A small point about the lovely seaside towns and villages. All are at sea level. Like sea lochs. They are not up hills. It is roads running alongside. But passes and old military roads are maybe the best for views and great if stops are available and not full of camper vans parked up.- My NC500
- the truth about electric cars
Oil and gas production has been down in Norway but no way is Norway stopping producing and selling oil and gas around the world as that is where their wealth came and comes from. As it is with electricity from Hydro and selling that for profits to other nations. This wealth allowed then to cut pollution and for citizens to have a nice life. And you need a nice income to be able to live comfortably because food and drink is expensive and your utilities are not cheap. As to unhealthy foods these are costly. Wealthier than the USA without being the cause of wars and selling weapons to kill and maim others to be sure of oil and gas.- the truth about electric cars
Sam Evans. EXPERTS. Pick an expert! Then Pick a number any number. 98% EV,s charged at home. Not even cars, let alone EV,s. Vans. How quickly are the petrol and diesels already in the UK going to be scrapped is what will be relevant to reduced places to fill up. As to supermarkets with filling stations not having pumps anymore, well they caused the closing of many filling stations privately run. I predict fuel being better priced as petrol and diesel is a product that comes while refining oil to produce petrochemicals. As far as filling stations not being charities. There are in the UK Community Fuel Pumps. Run by locals for locals and tourists because there was not a huge demand for a Filling Station but to fill up required a 50 mile round trip. Until councils do not require diesel for their vehicles then Diesel is getting delivered to them and there can be Local Authority depots serving fuel. Local fuels for local folks. It arrives at ports and no place in the UK is more than 75 miles from the sea.- MPV's available with easy in and easy out and space to carry stuff maybe doubling as a van. & Electric Vans.
Sad to read that CANOO have filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the USA.- the truth about electric cars
Easy to make profits from ridiculously over priced goods, foods at filling stations, virtually or actually small convenience stores. It is a long long time away from Fuel filling stations in the UK not selling liquid fuel. There are bigger and bigger ones with Fast food outlets and bakeries and post office counters etc, owned by the likes off the Issa brothers /Asda EG. Not needing to sell at Service Station rip off prices.. there is an issue with Service stations that is a Government / local council caused issue. Refusing planning for staff accommodation at the facilities. Also Brexit and getting staff that want to live in the middle of nowhere with no shops or facilities other than where you work and if you have no car you are stuffed. PS. Devon is not the back of beyond as far as a Cash and Carry,s or deliveries from suppliers no matter what some might like others to believe. And as far as electricity gets up the wind farms and pylons and get in the chargers, or get cracking and drill baby drill. Vans be them ICE or BEV can deliver goods to filling stations and charge hubs, they need fuelled anyway unless they do so at the depot.- Low coolant indicator with a possible leak
Best not top up to MAX. Top up to midway between MIN and MAX and mark with a market pen. If that level is showing as dropping when checked cold. Do not take the cap off. Then likely leaking. If filled to MAX as might get done at a service the coolant finds it's own level. There is no FILL to this LINE levels.- The bargain of the year - need help lol
@Vagfan24 just nosy but is the FiL a car dealer or something or did he actually run the car himself and know nothing about cars or care?- the truth about electric cars
The drop in EV sales was not only Tesla in Germany. The drop in VW Group EV,s sold in 2024 will be worth looking at, and in cars sales of non EV,s.- New Renault 5 EV
I think my artificial foot / leg will catch on the sill as i lift my foot in as it does on many cars with body kits or just projecting sills. And as well as that you get dirty trousers legs. Style & Design over function is a PITY or for some shins. ............. If that is not an issue, or the controls are not hopeless with a right hand drive and seating is comfy then the fact it can have a towbar for a bike rack suits me perfectly.- Poor MPG in a 2012 Skoda Fabia 1.2 Greenline
It may be a reason for less efficient / economic running. The 1.6 TSI CR had a Flow Device fitted to the air filter and new software, some had issues after and some had it rolled back and a remap. The FIX seemingly killed some 1.2 and was suspended, and then reintroduced. (Caddy vans were the issue mostly, maybe because fleet vans were done.) No idea if anyone spend money to get that rolled back.- New Renault 5 EV
- Euro 5 1.2 TDI Emission Fix, have you had it done?
bump.- Poor MPG in a 2012 Skoda Fabia 1.2 Greenline
It was not a DPF delete, it was New Engine Management because of the VW Emission Scandal. Available first for the 1.2 diesel before the 1.6 TDI CR. For some 1.2 they said it was not available. Check the VIN on yours, but if done it will not show, did your previous car not get a Skoda Recall after 2016? Which you did not require to have done. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-campaigns I will bump a thread on it.- the truth about electric cars
@Graham ButcherThings are Sh!t enough, i have 2 failed to start and started charging this morning at £5 for each of these have resulted in me getting Invoices & Receipts from CPS. But not a Invoice / Reciept for the charge i did get of £5.70 The guy started the Charger remotely, i asked how this was available after 5 years of them saying these chargers were not available remotely. Amazing new tech, on crap old equipment. The call handler said Contact South Ayrshire Council, i told him they did a press release saying Contact CPS ASAP. I told him you can not keep taking VAT on a Service or product not provided. Anyway that is me onto them next week. But i am still quids up on the charging sessions that have not been billed to me.- Alarm going off while driving
The owners / Service manuals when they came with cars up to about 2012 / 13 had Replacing Alarm sirens at 5 years. I have not seen anything showing 7 years. Maybe @pikpilot has a link to where that is recommended.- the truth about electric cars
Yes indeed. Influencers. The need to declare when they are receiving money, products etc. Gain or reward. Employment status. There are ones that very much are mixing business and pleasure and it is hard to know if filming for work. But the electric car thing is not any different really. They might have been into cars and reviews before. Maybe not as self employed though. It is what it is really. Tell no lies and be transparent and tell young story. There are ones with no story of their own to tell they just report on the news from others.- Poor MPG in a 2012 Skoda Fabia 1.2 Greenline
An Air Filter can make a bit of a difference, can you not just check it and see if it is filthy? Are the tyres the same as your last car and the pressures? Had this car had the Fix? The defeat device one, and had your previous car? It had not done that many miles in the years before the last owner. Are you aware of the car regening much,?- the truth about electric cars
Bloggers and vloggers make up what ever they want. There are some that tell a story and if true somehow are not prepared to name and shame. Click bait. Some need to be paranoid because the tax man might be the one at their door. They will then claim dark forces at work.- the truth about electric cars
Investigating journalists from the major UK newsagencies or publications should be doing their job and revealing to the public the Kidology of the number of first registrations, storing vehicles owned by manufacturers and importers and drop feeding out used. That is their job, rather than bloggers and vloggers that investigating journalists might look into their Self employed involved incomes and declaration to the HMRC. PS. Maybe a can of worms will get opened. Company cars, BIK, loan / media cars lunches / launch,s. Influencers. Hospitalities. Jollies and trips. Maybe Haymarket Media Group, Autocar / Whatcar can do it, it one of Lord Michael Hedeltine,s Financial Journals. He is an insider with VW / Bentley having brokered the buy out. Also his businesses had and has VW as a customer. Now that he stood down as the CEO of Haymarket Media Group maybe son Rupert can be the one to blow the whistle on any cheating going on in the UK motor trade. Take the hit on their advertising income.- Possible to swap dq200 to 09g on 1.4 tsi ?
Showing what country you are in would be useful. Sourcing one of these old gearboxes and then having someone fit one to likely find it will not work will not be cheap is it? If you have someone to fit one you are best asking them If It is feasible.- the truth about electric cars
@Graham Butcher Yes pre registering. But then articles can say that if the case. Like they should of many Manufacturers for Decades getting cars in the Top Ten Selling lists when it is selling to them selves new and Dealers selling used / Brand new cars, 2nd registered keeper delivery miles.- I looked at two Skodas in a showroom today .... Karoq and Kamiq.
Just a case of trying these BEV,s and the Touch Screen stuff to your left if you are right handed in a right hand drive car. Also are the very small symbols on any switches or touch screens readable. There is a problem or issue often, like every year with COTY, Motoring Journalists opinions etc, Cars of the years chosen after Journalists have driven left hand drive cars but not from driving right hand ones in the UK because they were not available.- the truth about electric cars
