@Gerrycan Yes, because of winters. Maybe just more in Scotland because they go Ski-ing, to the hills etc and travel on roads with snow or ice and then have days of the sun and warmth. I do think that down south in the UK there is less adjusting of tyre pressures, even among the Emergency Services / Police.

The engine can not create more oil, it can just be diluted with Diesel. That used to be an injector issue, now commonly & sadly a Regen issue.

Well plenty do adjust tyre pressures to suit loads carried and weather, wet, cold etc. If bothering about a few MPG up or down for fuel then worth it. Maybe not that noticeable day to day, but drive a EV and you will soon see how tyre pressures can affect efficiency. As weather does, and also road types / surfaces in different regions of the UK.

The DVLA which is an 'Executive Agency' of the DfT & costs us plenty anyway and Bonus Payments for performance to heid yins, even if the DVLA performance is rubbish.

At least the rev limiter is just in neutral. Muppets around my way in their Fiestas are on the rev limiter as the boot it along the 20 mph limit road. So very very sporty.

Are you filling up with E5? Lots of people reporting Misfires. Down England way. I take it it is still Winter Spec E10 that filling stations in the south are getting & as prices have gone up not some stuff that has been at sea in tankers before reaching UK shores.

Check the drain holes on the bottom of the doors. The seals can cover them, keeping water in the door. ? Does the passenger door get open regularly because if not there might be water trapped in there? Check the spare tyre well for water. Put a couple of damp traps in the car / boot. Get the windows open a bit when the weather dry / sun out.
