A general query about DRIVESHAFTS
Welcome to the forum. I would not be concerned about the driveshafts of any VW Group vehicle that you would be getting to drive in a Ultra Low Emission Zone.

Superb IV improving battery performance
If there is a simple and inexpensive way or just a less simple and expensive way to improve the range you might have expected the VW Group / Skoda to do that before getting the WLTP / RDE2. There is a reason that the HMRC / Government in the UK are only slightly going along with the kidology of ICE / Hybrids being green. There are big cars with Co2 g/km numbers that are pure fiction if they actually go further than say the range that can be driven on a charged up battery. A tool without much personality. Is that a description of the vlogger? He certainly does not like my comments on some of his youtube reviews. *I asked in the comments in the bottom vid if they tried driving 35 miles in Electric mode!* Surely the least that should be expected of a reviewer as it is not like it should take more than an hour if they crawl along or draft behind a tall vehicle etc.*

Superb IV improving battery performance
So the range is up to 55 km in the WLTP cycle. Dead handy if you use the car like in the WLTP cycle. Get the car off the road and in the lab.

Interesting stats on the decline of filling stations in the UK
I have seen a LIDL in Scotland with a Rapid EV charger which you need to pay for, but that trumps Tesco or Asda with just free Fast chargers which are not fast. It was cheaper than other chargers you pay at. Lidl Larkhall. I hope they plan more stores having this.

Super unleaded which is best?
Sorry, my bad, ESSO Synergy Supreme + 99 Super Unleaded is 99 ron & supplied in most of the UK by Greenergy that produces and distributes Momentum and who are part owned by Tesco. I have not heard of it now being 99 ron and change from 97. They say it has no Ethanol but needs to have in some regions, those might well be where Greenergy Deliver it. https://www.esso.co.uk/en-gb/fuels/petrol

Superb IV improving battery performance
@ERIK99 Did they 'Claim' at what speed in what weather / temperature with what tyre pressure and load in the car you needed to do 35 miles on a full charge. That would be interested to see if you have a link to that document.

Super unleaded which is best?
@GUESTY Do you not actually travel outwith the area where you live? If there is a Sainsbury the 97 ron min is OK and the same price as the Momentum 99. The 98 Super is on your Fuel Filler flap, and some Super Unleaded will be above the Minimum, i usually find that is the case with the Momentum. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/443164-super-unleaded

Super unleaded which is best?
Tesco Momentum 99 which is 99 ron minimum the same as Shell V-Power Nitro+, and not because it is cheaper, but because the Base Fuels are imported by Greenergy & Shell as partners and the detergent package is not important, you want the Octane. Esso, BP, Gulf, Texaco, Costco, Sainsbury's Super Unleaded is 97 ron minimum in the UK.

KPH/MPH
They launched cars with Software faults because of the penalties if they could not meet the low average Co2 g/km needed. So the VW ID.3's were also delivered to customers so that they had the registrations. Once that has been proven, maybe in a court someplace then VW Group can maybe pay owners expenses for having to go to Dealerships to get the car fit for purpose that they paid for. If the want to save on fines let them pay for being chancers.

1.2 tsi dsg paddles
They work the way i like as i only use it across to manual to decelerate and then knock it back to D for upshifts. Also i move them back to 'S' to slow on Ice or Snow. It depends what you like so have you driven any?

First Oil change, does it have to be done at a dealer?
By Manufacturers Guidelines the car does not require an Oil Change at 372 days / 9,400 miles or sooner. The car left the Factory on Variable Servicing with Long Life oil. So this 'Interim' Oil & Filter change is because a Dealership was at it once again. The Service indicator left on Fixed Servicing until the next Service which would have been the First if the Dealership were not at it does not invalidate the Warranty. But the 'Service Countdown' needs reset.

2030 Ban for new cars/vans run on just petrol/diesel
There is still very dirty Electric generating going on @ Peterhead in Scotland and Nuclear Generation that might need stopping very soon at Hunterston so it is high time that some new facilities are started that are going to be able to have Scotland taking advantage of its renewable capacity and getting that to the National Grid. http://bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-53063990 http://bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-business-38687835 http://bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-51546611

First Oil change, does it have to be done at a dealer?
They reset it hoping to get your business in 12 months time and had no right to do so if the car is not Leased and required to be on Fixed Servicing and the owners asked for that, or maybe a Service Plan is running and requires 'Fixed Servicing'. As it is if you are doing low annual miles getting a Service / Inspection is not a bad idea if you are not checking under the car. @ this Oil & Filter time is when to get it changed to Variable if you want. The Haldex Service is due @ 3 years or sooner, and the brake fluid change if getting done at 3 years. The Pollen Filter change might be due at 2 years or sooner, but you could check and maybe change it yourself. Main Dealership Service item prices can be expensive now. The fixed price is based on 3-10 year old cars so best see what the Main Dealers are asking for on a 1 year 'Interim Service', something that the name has changed from this year, and before it was called a Minor Service or just an Oil Service.

@angrydad There is still a gear shifter there. I only have one leg as well, the left one. I happen to never use the paddles on anything with a DSG that i drive.

First Oil change, does it have to be done at a dealer?
@AndyGrob73 Is it a car you own & were you asked by the Dealership if you wanted the car on Fixed Service Intervals? Your car is only coming up for an Oil / Filter change because it was changed to Fixed Servicing (372 days / 9,400 miles) at the PDI from the Variable Servicing that it arrived from the factory with. 24 months / 18,000-20,000 miles. It would be a good idea to have the Oil change at an Independent Garage with the Licensed Equipment so they get TPI's, Updates etc and that can put the Oil / Inspection Service on the System. A VAT Registered establishment that can use the correct fluids and parts does not void a warranty, but good if they can reset the Service Indicator and also put the Service on the system. PS Your car currently has VW508 00 / 509 00 oil in from the factory. So that is 0w 20 FS IV. You can use VW 507 00 / 5w 30 FS III if you want when servicing it.

2030 Ban for new cars/vans run on just petrol/diesel
Which is why Octopus / OVO are paying customers to plug in and charge EV's and use electricity during off peak times to help balance the grid. It is lots of sources of electricity generation making up what the UK uses in the way of electricity from many places and lots of money paid to be ready to provide when required, and many expensive suppliers while cheap sources are not being used. That is what happens with commodities. http://gridwatch.co.uk

Pumped Hydro is not slow to react. It powers the National Grid as kettles go on during TV adverts or at the End of Strictly.

2030 Ban for new cars/vans run on just petrol/diesel
Where there is muck there is brass, and where there are locations for wind turbines there is loads of dosh to be made. Sadly there are community owned turbines on UK Islands that the Grid no longer is taking their electricity from and Community Projects funded by that income are closing. Paid to produce electricity and paid when told not to. https://www.theferret.scot/cayman-tax-haven-ventient-wind Scotland has it's Hollow Mountain as well, and more planned. England needs more storage of Water as there will be a crisis as the old structures need replacing.

2030 Ban for new cars/vans run on just petrol/diesel
Oil and gas will be getting brought to the surface of the earth or sea for a long time or extracted from the earth / oil sands etc. But then it will not just get burned as road fuels or to warm homes. As to filling stations many get fuel from Bunkered Fuel yards and the likes, and Diesel & Gasoline is produced as part of the Petrochemical Refining process and petrochemicals are going to still be getting produced. As to Flaring off, that is a rather serious issue to those near and not so near where it is happening, but then the Governments have let the industry get away with this and surely as China goes collecting Space Rocks the Oil & Gas sectors can get a move on with some new technology.
