New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..
The new Angus Council EV Charging Hub in Forfar is coming along nicely despite some rather wet weather in the past weeks, & also the EG Filling Station with Chargers and facilities very near to it.

Ideas what to do, stick or switch
The same as a Focus Jam e-Bike which has 2 wheels but 1 wheel drive and bigger tyres & can have 2 batteries packs. Focus Jam 'squared.' So not really an original name to give the Merc.

- Can't activate my heated steering wheel !
The 'Simply clever' solution is to wear soft leather driving gloves as worn by sporting drivers with vehicles with physical button and things to touch. You can even have a wood rimmed steering wheel then.- Living With A Sportline Plus 272 Hatch
@shyVRS245 I also read that is around the Kerb Weight of the car which really has no relevance on how it drives around corners with me on my own or with the grandchildren in the back seats. Personally i would not take full grown adult friends around Scotland in the rear of a Corsa, i would use a proper diesel passenger car & pay around £20 in fuel for every 200 miles as i usually do. No idea what you think is an important point about PSA who are also parent company and manufacturers of Citroen, DS, Opel, they also have ECIA who manufacture a significant number of exterior and interior parts for Audi, Mercedes Benz and BMW. One of these might suit touring Scotland or even France.- Living With A Sportline Plus 272 Hatch
@old newbie2 @ only 38,000 miles in 8 years you are using very little liquid fuel and doing very good for the planet that is for sure and not contributing that much in Tax & duty to the exchequer. No idea what your situation has to do with my post to @shyVRS245 who is the person changing cars. I can not actually answer your question on an EV the size of a Superb for much cheapness for someone doing hardly any miles. A business user that can take advantage of the great benefits from the Government via HMRC from running an EV can save a lot of money and lease a comfy new car rather than doing the business driving in a 8 year old car. I have a 14 year old diesel and will only do 3,000 miles in it at 26 mpg, so i am even greener. I love the smell of exhaust emissions from a diesel any time of the day or night and share it with others. I did more than 3,000 miles last month in my EV and paid under £13 for electricity as in Scotland EV's can be charged for free to the driver @ charge time thanks to the Government trying to get more EV's being used. Everyone is paying, but then they pay anyway for the pollution even if they have no car, and they will e paying more unless the lower emissions the UK Government signed up to are met. I can say that a person driving alone or a couple might not need a car the size of a Superb unless sometimes they work as a taxi driver or move lots about with them including a mobile tin home towed behind. But everyone is free to drive whatever they want. The national grid is not struggling other than to get electricity used up to balance the grid at times off low usage. Hence Octopus paying people to charge their cars or just use off peak electricity. There is so much energy being produced in the UK off the British Mainland that is not able to be transmitted to the mainland because the Interconnectors are not there. http://gridwatch.co.uk Cracking plants producing fuel are using huge amounts of electricity, as much as a city. Grangemouth has it's own power station running on Oil & Gas to produce electricity to refine products including road fuels. The highest user of Electricity in Scotland is to get the water around the country and they are going over to renewables to do this. All those being paid to be on stand by and more paid not to generate electricity and the expensive stuff is coming in from abroad as there are contracts ti be honoured. Using Cruise Control when there is standing water. Maybe his employers will consider giving some advice on that, or his insurers might if there was an accident. It takes all types of drivers obviously...- Skoda Enyaq

'They' do not have top lawyers, they are chancing it on the hope that they can scare you. They do not even have top Technicians, they are just trying it on. Have you talked with a Solicitor?- Cracked Haldex Unit
A solicitor could make them weep. This can not have them do faulty work on a customers car and then penalise the customer. They have never compensated in the UK those that were mislead by Defeat Devices installed on their vehicles. A 2014 car is not in Warranty so you are not making a warranty claim, just a claim against their employees error possibly.- Cracked Haldex Unit
@John@C Did you get a Letter from VW Group HQ or Skoda inviting you to have the Emission Fix carried out and ignore it or refuse to have it done? There is no reason to have it done. The Warranty says that you must have Recalls Carried Out. That is not a Safety Recall and is not on the DVLA Recall site and was a Voluntary recall. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions- Cracked Haldex Unit
The Diesel Fuel Filters were part of the 2nd Major Service if the Technician decided to do them. The Major Service cost the same @ 2 years, 4 years and 6 years if they changed it or not. That is no reason to not count the car as having being Serviced to the Manufacturers Recommendations or Guidelines as the customer gets given no Guidelines. Nothing to do with the Haldex or Final Drive anyway.- No paint code sticker in VRS
@mar-mite Best look in the Owners Manual then as @PetrolDave had a sticker in his one in 2015.- 2019 citgo potenetial leak
Just as well you have lots of Warranty then, and if you feel you do not want to drive to a dealership get Skoda Assist out to you. They can be with you by 8pm.- Cracked Haldex Unit
Spot the Extended Scope. CHECK / REPLENISH FINAL DRIVE OIL (WHERE APPLICABLE) This simply does not get done. OR HAVE THIS CROWDS TECHNICIAN DONE THAT? It used to be shown to be done with the MAJOR SERVICE as well which was changed just this year in January. @John@C Are they talking about the Emissions Scandal Voluntary Recall Action to have the VW Emissions fix carried out not having been done?- Cracked Haldex Unit
There are taking the Michael. Dealerships fail to tell owners about a Haldex Service so they get missed. The Car has been fine since 2017 until they serviced it. ? What is the DPF thing all about? What do they mean?- Cracked Haldex Unit
No idea what would be meant by a service on the DPF replacement is. Diesel Particulate Filter. & that has nothing to do with this. Get them to show what and when it was due. Was this prior to you purchasing the car with a FMDSH, or after you bought it and had FMD Servicing? *Do they mean the Haldex was not serviced in 2017 @ 3 years old?* They need to explain fully what tripe they are trying to bring into the matter of the Haldex Service.- Cracked Haldex Unit
An apprentice technician is a trainee and a fitter is a fitter not a technician or a motor engineer or mechanical engineer.- Advantages of a dealer service
Some cars have 3 spark plugs and 2.8 litre oil capacity, and some will be 4 plugs and 5.7 litres of oil. That is just how crazy Skoda Fixed Price Servicing and Maintenance has been for a long time now.- Cracked Haldex Unit
@John@C It is an issue that sadly you might well be dealing with people who 5 1/2 or 6 days a week are used to panning off troublesome customers by having never seen things ever before. I like the favourite, 'never believe stuff you read online, that is from people that know nothing about anything, we do this as a profession'.- Cracked Haldex Unit
@John@C Best that you record that conversation and ask them to put what ever they have to say in writing. ? Is this the Dealership Groups 'escalation team', or Skoda UK's? So they have an 'Escalation team' but were closing the Workshop. Says a lot. They might even have top lawyers but duff Technicians.- Skoda karoq accessories and ceramic quoting
- No paint code sticker in VRS
@PetrolDave The Sticker was usually inside the cover of 'Service Books', when they were issued. I have never seen them in the cover of an Owners Manual.- CITIGOe iV Ambition SE - charging at 7.2kW/hr
Just contact Skoda UK Customer Services and ask them to get an Adult that knows about it or even a young child to get back in touch with you. http://skoda.co.uk/discover/contact-us Your local Dealership or the one that supplied the car must have someone in the Service Department or the Workshop that can read the TPI they got from Skoda or if not can use a keyboard or telephone and talk to an appropriate person @ Skoda UK.- Help needed Cambelt and water pump change
@Kratu The common issue i find is that many people assume that the Dealership parts will always be more expensive than others. Well that is not always the case and sometimes the part is there, and there is an exchange price, and no messing about waiting for delivery of possibly the wrong part. But without checking you never know. I use a Local Motor Factor simply because if they do not have parts they can have them within 24 hours. - Skoda Enyaq
