  1. Mk2 pre-fl projectors My headlights seem to aim way to far left. In the mist driving home at night you could clearly see the beam of the drivers side was going about 45 degrees to the left. The hedges to the left are better lit than the road infront. My other half even questioned if I had my lights on the other night..... Can they be adjusted? tempted to wedge a bit of plastic in on one side of the bulb housing to make it go a bit more right. Other cars clearly have the left and right of their vehicle lit up but mine just seems to be the left with not much light infront.
  2. Hard wired in my dash cam ages ago thought it was all lovely and neat using a piggy back fuse, ran it up the pillar no wires showing... I went to use my headlight adjusters. No movement. Check what fuse it is.... the one I'd piggy backed. Unplugged and put just the fuse in. Headlights go up and down. Try another fuse, same story. Does this mean I have the fuses the wrong way around? Don't want to swap them around as the fuse for the dash cam is a lot lower rating. Surely it will just blow a fuse if I try? Original fuse at the bottom, new fuse on top... Also on this subject is there a switched live in the engine fuse box?
  3. Perfect for drying... Grilles
  4. Finally got around to starting a project thread. Some of you may remember me from this: Shadows Entity's mk1 VRS Since then I've owned a boring fiesta zetec s 2012 And moved out of my parents into my own little home with my Fiance and Son. Bored of it and wanting to swap I couldn't help but think about an Octavia, I couldn't get another mk1 as fun as it was the mpg was crippling and if it hadn't of died first it probably would have killed me. So I thought what do I want out of a car: Bigger car Better MPG More power Ok it's a short shopping list but I was torn between Octavia or BMW 320D both about the same price, miles etc but the Octavia won the day. So I went and got it and within 30 mins of owning the car (literally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) someone drove into me on a roundabout this was back in July and it's still ongoing, had to use my insurance to fix and claim back off them once they agree that they drove into me.... This is why I've not been very active or put up any pictures of it as it really cheesed me off and made me regret getting it as if I hadn't of swapped it wouldn't of happened. Busted their headlight washer........... that's it. Caved in my rear side!!! Anyway finally here she is.... Octavia VRS PD 170 So far I have: Colour coded front grille Fly eye'd front headlights LED interior LED number plate Plans: More power More noise More shiny This project will be a go slow I would like to keep the car for more than a year as although the power is a bit sedate I know if I persevere I can make it better. Why Blue Banshee? I want to make it scream
  5. yes you can.... my glass had actually fallen out inside the door
  6. Managed to fit a 1980mm door in mine, not even an estate. Had to drive a bit close to the wheel
  7. I just got some off eBay that weren't too long just same size as originals. Didn't even bother with canbus ones. Replaced all interior lights with none canbus and all work and no glow
  8. looks good, need mine tinting at some point. makes it look a bit less family wagon imo
  9. did someone pull over to straighten it out?
  10. I've had h&r and ebaich spacers with no problems. What ones did you go for?
  11. Thanks, yea seems quite a lot of money just for a badge change. Is Pastyboy still doing gel badges?
  12. where is the cheapest to get these? can't seem to find any genuine badges for <£15 which seems a bit steep. Are the part numbers in the OP still the best option or are there alternatives since it was first posted?
  13. Hi been looking on ebay for used exhausts and it's slim pickings for our cars.... However look up mk5 golf same type engine and there's loads and some of the things that are offered for our car are cheaper too. So can another exhaust from the same platform fit our cars? If it's merely exhaust tips aren't long enough then that's an easy fix so long as the backbox mounts up in the same place. I apologies if this has been asked before and if you answer me I'll never ask it again
  14. It's at the garage now, got a brand new ford fiesta courtesy car.... Great except it's a 1.2, doesn't even have central locking(wtf didn't think you could get a car without anymore) and the seat isn't even height adjustable so good job I'm not short. It's getting a new rear quarter panel and rear bumper so gonna have to put up with it for a week probably
  15. Does this need coding? And do you have to make a hole in your washer bottle or is it there and blanked off if you haven't got it? I know my car doesn't have the sensor as it ran out with no warning
  16. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182156323732?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
