  1. What BIN price you thinking Steve?
  2. Yeah ring the dealers for your part number. Just act like you're pricing it up to buy when you get paid and ask for the part number so you don't have to go through everything again 'when' you order one. I did this, however, the part number the dealer gave me differed slightly to what was on the lock anyway!
  3. Do you mean when your lights are on and you open the drivers door- there's no warning sound?? If that's the case, have you checked/looked into the door microswitch? As they are really common to break and would cause the problem you're having.
  4. I still need to pull my finger out and buy a set while it's still vaguely sunny. I did message them about a group buy, but had no response.
  5. Would prob be easier to source a mk4 golf/leon/octavia etc with the same colour code and using those handles.
  6. Yeah that was just a link to the exact one I purchased (passenger side) just to show an example. Noticed they've put the price up though as I only paid £30 last week! I'd message the seller with your reg and get them to confirm it'll fit- that way it's on them if it doesn't. As there's apparently a fair few variations of the lock module, how much they vary I don't know. I rang the dealer to get the part number of mine but none on ebay matched, apart from a couple of second hand ones. So I messaged that seller with reg etc and they sent me one and all was well. Funnily enough, the part number on the one I removed was different to the one given to me from the dealer anyway! For reference the part number on the lock I removed was (front passenger side) 3b2837015ag
  7. Have you let it dry thoroughly? As I know the grey can go quite dark when wet?
  8. I'd recommend one of the cheap ebay units. I bought one off these http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=171395643840&alt=web last week to do my front passenger side and the unit was exactly the same as the oem one I removed, minus the sticker, same markings on it in the same place etc. So I'd go down that route instead of the £100+ dealer option. Took me 3 and a half hours to do too.
  9. Put this item number in ebay 171395643840 that's the one I got. Message the seller with your reg etc and they'll sort you one out.
  10. Sounds like it's deadlocked due to faulty lock motor. If that's the case, then you'll need to replace the lock motor. Fair few threads on here about it. I think you'll have to destroy the door card though in order to remove the ancillaries carrier, then you may need some careful bodgery on the motor itself in order to unlock the door.
  11. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?1015107 Follow that mate, can't go far wrong.
  12. Just managed to change mine today due to a dodgy micro switch. So if anyone wants my old one to save me throwing it, let me know. Few guides on here about changing the micro switch so could be a cheaper replacement for someone. Micro switch
  13. Ah fair enough DGW still no reply from them anyway so looks like full price unfortunately.
  14. May be tricky, but should be fairly straightforward as the seat's only held in by 4 m10 spline bolts- which can be accessed by sliding the seat all the way forward to get to the rear 2 and vice versa for the front 2. Then you will be able to manoeuvre the seat out the rear passenger door, or through the boot if you wish (obviously need to remove/lower rear seats then).
  15. Nope, straight swap. Unplug, plug in, Job done.
  16. I've found it now Makes me laugh how he describes skodas as rubbish (para phrasing a bit there), but has listed in his description- '.. got to be the best small fast diesel around! with good mpg and the best engine. . '
  17. I thought it was from the outer- in?
  18. Noticed it's been removed off eBay now? If he calls again, just answer and mute the call. That's a favourite of mine for sales calls.
  19. I was thinking along these lines lol. Or a few gumtree adds
  20. So I'm looking at changing mine due to slight coolant loss and pressurised tank. As my hg hasn't fully gone I thought I'd try the bolts first to see if that helps instead of spending loads of £ doing the whole hg. What bolts do the ibiza Cupra use? As I'll be getting my mate to change them and he said he'll get those as they're the uprated ones too, that right? Also, with replacing them, do you remove ALL the pd130 bolts (in the 1, 10, 5, 6, 4,7,2,9,3,8 order), so it's completely boltless then put the pd150s in reverse order (8,3,9,2,7etc), doing them all up to 40nm,then 60nm, then 90degree and 90 degree. Or do you remove bolt 1 and replace with the pd150 and so on til they're all done? Reading the other threads again and reading this back I assume it's the former?
  21. I'm surprised he's kept replying for so long! But I mean, all the 'your mom' ****- reeaaalllly???
  22. The uv protector stuff, is it just an apply once and forget? Or do you need to regularly apply it?
