  1. So my thoughts on today's test drive? Both our previous Yeti's were 1.2TSi SE's with DQ200 DSG The 2.0TDi 4x4 L&K with DQ250 DSG felt a smoother ride than I remember, not as lumpy over bumps. Not sure if that's down to damper/spring rates or the 4X4 weight distribution. A lot of the reviews say the diesel is noisy but I didn't find that at all, it's a bit gruff when pushed but at low rpm quieter than the diesel in the XF. The 2.0TDi 150 certainly has more grunt than the 1.2 but I still wouldn't say it's quick but I am coming from a 200PS 450NM diesel. The biggest difference I found was the seating, I never really got on with the SE's seats, the lack of lumbar adjustment caused me lower back issues but I found the L&K's seats to be far better. The brakes were a bit grabby but looks like it's been stood a bit and the front disks were fairly rusty. Dealer will have a look. So I've signed up and collect Monday. My dilemma now is stick with the Primacy 3's for now or stick on some Cross Climates or Goodyear 4 Season G2's
  2. That will be our plan. Sat on the drive I also have a 1.2TSi Octavia and a Citigo. The Yeti and Octavia will be shared between myself and my wife and the Citigo is used by my Mum. Last year I did 15k miles, my wife 1.8k and my Mum 1.2k. The Octavia is now 8 years old and has only done 35k miles so I plan to get some miles on it over the next two years as it's not rally going to have any impact the the Octy's value. I've part-ex my Jag XF in for the Yeti. During lockdown I've worked every day and I'm not allowed to carshare so my fuel use has been around £70 a week. My wife wouldn't drive the Jag so I couldn't take the Octavia. Hence the need to swap.
  3. Yeh don't worry. This is my 14th Skoda, 18th VAG vehicle, 8th DSG (2nd DQ250) and 3rd Yeti. So I have pretty good idea of the pitfalls and servicing. I suppose my firsts for this vehicle which could be problematic are first Haldex and first Panoramic Roof. Unfortunately although I've tipped my toe into the newer MQB waters I don't feel they are built as well and are bland hence why I've tried to find as new as possible Yeti with low miles. I really wanted a SEL Drive but the low miles L&K and great deal were to good to miss.
  4. To be fair the service manager (Rainworth) knew the Haldex had been moved to three years but wasn't at all surprised it wasn't done by Horton Skoda when it did the three year service in May. Doesn't sound like they do many though as he had to look up the cost. And I suppose for £99 it's just an oil change and not a remove pump and clean strainer.
  5. I was quoted £135 for Smart Link from Skoda today but we agreed to go halves on the deal which I was happy with. My other question about the Haldex. Yes it is indeed three years now. The cheeky sod said it's £99 would you like it doing? I said yes I would like it doing but not at my cost so they are standing the cost. Service guy said we offer brake fluid changes, haldex oil changes and DSG oil changes as extra items on the service and you'd be surprised how many say they do not want it doing.
  6. Really, Any links?
  7. Oh here's the new one.
  8. From 2016 to 2018 I had two 1.2TSi DSG's My wife loved hers but I just found the seats lacked support (No lumbar adjustment) and the 1.2TSi while great around town proved a little underpowered and uneconomical on my part motorway commute. I replaced it with a MQB Octavia but t became a reliability night mare with numerous issues mainly DQ200 DSG related. So I've put a refundable deposit down on a 2017 Yeti, 2.0TDi 150 4x4 L&K with just 18k miles. All dependent on test drive tomorrow. And yes I know about possible roof issues. Only one thing, it does not have smartlink enabled. Anyone know how much the activation key is now? Will try and get the dealer to do me a deal on smartlink but having info on the cost would give me some levarage. Also am I right in thinking Haldex oil change is now three years so needs doing? Lee
  9. Has anyone seen information on what rear suspension is fitted to the 1.4TSi Hybrid? A Phev version would interest me but not if it came with torsion beam.
