Unitronic, lemmiwinks etc

Featured Replies

Been trying to get this to work with a USB vag-com lead. Can't get it to read the ECU. Has anyone tried this and got it to work properly.

Hello!!!......is there anybody there. :)

Sorry mate never a go with either.

Tried and failed on my mates car

You would need a USB to serial driver I would guess.

the same as vag-com i would say, same cable etc.

Yep, got the Vag-Com usb cable. Even switched to usb on the software but still won't read ecu.

Ross-Tech used to provide a driver which made their USB cable look like a dumb serial cable for 3rd party applications, but they've always advised against using their cable in this way and I don't know where to find the driver. Put a Q in Ross-Tech's forum to see if they can follow up this hint :D

I use a cheapo serial cable with lemmiwinks, oddly it doesn't work with 'Custom Settings'. I also have a USB version of the software that I have never tried.

I've just read this. Try pulling fuse 11 out before turning the ignition - I remember reading a while back somewhere. It brings the airbag warning light on but I suspect you havent got one in your steering wheel?
